@@Panocek Most player buy premium vehicles to either get to the vehicle they actually want to play, or to get to the latest meta stuff. Only a small portion will actually play more than a handful of the stuff they unlock.
I think the biggest thing is really just BR the price yes is absurd but the plane and what it offers isn’t the worst. The BR is. How gaijin implements capabilities for certain planes and matchups is the problem. For air to have a comfortable BR range and not have compression where it’s at should be 14-15.0. But gaijin wants it players to suffer so they can buy things that make them feel capable.
Even if BR was to be increased, this viggen has to fight other Fox-3 slingers. It has to go against Flankers and F-16's. Literally every plane it faces, is better than it. In terms of FM. To spend $80 on a plane that is utterly useless when out of Fox-3 missiles, it beyond crazy. F-4E is gonna eat you alive. Missiles are avoidable, but that 20mm in the dogfight, where you lose all your speed after doing a 180°? Not at all. Maybe get it for $40 if you really want this plane.
You also missed something, this guy doesn’t have data link, so if you shoot the aamram out of pit Bull range then it has to guide in with with the inertial reference unit
Even worse right now since the AJS Viggen module is on sale for 29.99, so you can get either the Logi Extreme 3D Pro HOTAS or an Xbox controller and still come out with a few bucks for food/drink.
i dont have it yet but ive seen people do decently well in SIM with this, outside of SIM i will not even try to play this when i research it. imagine being in f15e the best plane of update and getting teabagged by 1960's plane
They have massacred its flight model. :/ My father was a Viggen pilot during the late '80s, '90s, and early '00s, so I have a special love for this aircraft. Sure, it's anecdotal, and it's been 20 years since he last flew the JA-37D, but he did say the energy bleed looks exaggerated. However, you would basically never pull fully on the stick constantly, as keyboard turning does in War Thunder.
Im not sure if its just me but since the new update at the edges of models there seems to be some thin black outline. Kind of reminds me a TINY TINY bit of borderlands
The F-15E shouldn't be anything more to worry about in the air, since it's the the original's chubbier brother Strike Eagle. On the ground though, worry.

OSRS is a game that has been going on for literal decades now and it is true that to play through the entire content, you have to have membership...but also it is very cheap, and let's be honest here, everyone pays for premium accounts in War Thunder because no one progresses higher than rank 5 without it at a reasonable pace, just because it's possible, doesn't mean it's doable. OSRS has a grind MUCH longer than War Thunder yet it is a THOUSAND times better, it feels better, you have way more fun, and it is generally a much better time, trust me, play that game, you'll find out that grinds that feel fun exists. Oh, and about your point about the packages, the point is that this is an $80 plane because Gaijin wants to siphon money from everyone, not because it's actually worth $80.

The DCS AJS37 Viggen Module costs 59,99€, and I have about 2000 hours on that jet alone ( absolutely worth the purchase if you are into some a**-to-grass ground pounding). I have to confess though: I have a suprisingly good time with the tech tree variant, but I'm a Viggen Fanatic, The only thing that drives me nuts is the hilariously bad energy retention. I mean comeon Gaijin, one 180 and I'm basically 100% drained of my energy ? Seriously ?
I got it for half off essentially because I got some extra birthday money leftover. I love the viggen, the plane is awesome. flying it sucks tho, the performance sucks ass. Aamrams are still lethal and don’t need the Viggen to be good. I can regularly get 2-4 kills DEFINITELY not a plane for level 1 wallet warriors, it’s hard to fly correctly but if you have decent top tier habits down you are usually good with its amount of countermeasures. Bad rwr, no hmd, shit flight performance, and mid radar don’t really mix well at 13.7 though
soooo I bought it i know the snake already took my soul so it doesnt matter anymore and i can tell this thing is a 8/10 so no guided ground missiles is bad no bombs is bad but great rockets and great "aim 120" you have to know how to fly this thing in air rb lock your aim 120 about 25km away you have 4 of them so shot all of them at different targets land and rearm i hab a few matches where I was the last one standing and i could kill 4 enemy planes with my "aim120" so yeah if you like to grind sweden and the snail already took your soul its a choise you can think about it
The plane is not bad, but... there's no way that this thing can hold it's ground at 13.0, and less with how terrible the matchmaking is in this game, if this were to fight planes like F-14s, Harriers, F-4F Ices, then sure, but more often than not, you will be facing Strike Eagles.

I'll put it simply. Take a look at the other Gaijin titles. Specifically, spend a bit of time perusing their stores. You'll very quickly notice a few things. One, this kind of monetization is worse in each one. Second, War Thunder is *currently* the least offender in that category. Three, Gaijin is slowly turning War Thunder into those titles in terms of monetization. Fourth, despair. The closer they creep to the critical point of burning out a title's player base the more egregious the monetization gets.

As someone who pre-ordered all 4 packs. its a rough plane. IM Gaijin's top guy aka why they keep releasing this kind of content. Its disappointing to say the least. you get dunked on by most planes now a days since they fluffed up the viggen's flight model and the missiles are a hit or miss
Sorry but i dont get the hate about those $ Packages. Would you rather enjoy have some kind of P2W Jet with auto win option? Remember it´s still a free game with enough content for years, hell you can even get the same Viggen in your tech tree for free. And about the Price, yes its not cheap but compare to other games where you have to pay same amount of $ just for a skin.
Don’t get me started on cosmetics. I HATE the cosmetic business model of most modern games. The only exceptions are games with an actual market like CSGO/CS2 where you can buy/sell skins from other players. That way if you play your cards right you can actually make money trading to expand your inventory, or hell just invest.

Tbh I think this is a decent plane for top tier GRB if you intend to run anti-CAS, and don’t have the Gripen or the MiG-21Bis.

As someone who pre-ordered all 4 packs. its a rough plane. IM Gaijin's top guy aka why they keep releasing this kind of content. Its disappointing to say the least. you get dunked on by most planes now a days since they fluffed up the viggen's flight model and the missiles are a hit or miss
Sorry but i dont get the hate about those $ Packages. Would you rather enjoy have some kind of P2W Jet with auto win option?
Remember it´s still a free game with enough content for years, hell you can even get the same Viggen in your tech tree for free.
And about the Price, yes its not cheap but compare to other games where you have to pay same amount of $ just for a skin.
Don’t get me started on cosmetics. I HATE the cosmetic business model of most modern games. The only exceptions are games with an actual market like CSGO/CS2 where you can buy/sell skins from other players. That way if you play your cards right you can actually make money trading to expand your inventory, or hell just invest.
@@_Joob Exactly, it let people believe if they spend x amound $ in a cosmetic, that there special or let them believe they are better because of a skin. That´s why those $ packages from the Snail in compare aren´t that bad of a deal, since you still need skill either it isn´t a auto win, it just let you skip month of grind to reach a viggen, thats it. Time for money. Less $ if you wait for a sale.
