I'm surprised they didn't make the cloaks exp% bonus turn into a bronze% bonus at level 70. It would add a lot purpose to a thread that becomes useless and make 70 a lot more rewarding.

Luckily for me, I'm only interested in a few mounts and mogs, so I can pace myself and enjoy the ride. I also like leveling alts, so this event was basically made for me 😅

Exactly the same. I want the alternate trading post armor, I wanted the shado-pan armor and purple mount.. and that's about it. If I end up getting lots of Bronze I might get Ji-kun.. just leveling in Pandaria and trying to get Loremaster, I never played this expansion (quit for a bit after cata)
Thats pretty much why they made this mode. To get people to 70 so they can play war within. Its crazy how people think it was for anything else. Most of these transmorgs you can get in retail, lol.
Biggest mistake IMO is having to use Bronze for equipment upgrades. That should have been for cosmetics only. Earning exp is what should lvl up your gear
Don't really need to max upgrade with bronze, just do the cheap like 8-50 upgrades which is super negligible while leveling - doing that and building your kit wisely, have encountered 0 progression walls so far 1-66.
Yeah, I don't get the idea of upgrading. Spending nearly 60K Bronze just to fully upgrade a piece of armor (when you can't even do that because you have to evenly spread out the upgrades amongst your armor,) only to lose all this power in three months. Because come TWW, everyone (at least those at level 70) are going to be given 550 items and most of the items in our bags will be lost. I'm not even sure if we'll be able to keep the bags themselves.
This really is a concentrated event of why people quit the game. Bugs, fix bugs, players that got it keep it, groups that won't accept invites unless you have the right gear, you now can't get that gear. Login, play the intended way and find out that you are doing it wrong.
They did not fixed many bugs, and nerfed other stuff ppl liked lol
You do know you can do groups....WITHOUT the frog farmers, right? Matbe try Creating a group instead of joining one? Point being ive played since the end of vanilla..skipped a few xpacs here and there..but..aside from TBC (my main play time) and Legion...this is an amazing time for wow. Remix is fun...SoD was nostalgic and funish...retail is fun. Slow Down. Enjoy the game. You dont have to be a sweaty tryhard to just Enjoy a fun game.

How disconnected do you have to be to compare the LIMITED bronze shards being increased by 25% to the INSANE bronze/power boosts from frogs, these are not the same.

It's not a comparison. No one was supposed to get strong that fast. However I blame people like Bellular for who openly share shit like that, knowing it's an exploit so blizzard could patch it. If he never shared it on his prior video, we could've had it a little longer

My plan is to just do all of the questing at a chill pace, spend 0 bronze on gear upgrades, prioritize spending my bronze on new mounts and toys, then on old mounts and toys I don't have, and if I have bronze left over after that THEN I'll buy transmogs. And I don't really think I want to make a ton of alts to run through MoP Remix with. I already have like 10 level 70 alts. I don't need 10 more, I'm just never going to use any of them again.
Also MoP Remix feels like SoD on crack.

Exactly what I did and unknowingly I was able to acquire the Astral Emperor’s Serpent mount in no time, was able to buy the astral mount by doing chill LFR raids, dungeons and scenarios as well. Quite easy without upgrading gear. Dmg is bad at 70 due to unbalanced scaling but I could live with it. Doing dragon riding for bronze in Kunlai Summit while waiting for LFR also helped a lot.

A little disappointed that your fresh remix alt cloak is capped at 100% bonus exp gain. What is the point of my level 70 gaining more exp threads from bosses? Seems pointless
At lvl 70 you dont get any mlre Exp gain Threads

After I hit 70. My alt started with 100% increase. And is gaining more. So maybe that’s the point

They really dropped the ball with MOP remix at max level. Especially how it's almost impossible to get into any raids unless you frogged.
Justmy2cents, but I have a blast playing this version of MoP. Sure the 65-70 is slow, but I never felt bad at that range. I play my fury warrior for a bit, then roll some alts and get them to max level, maybe get a mount and some transmogs and be done with it. I think people should be more relaxed when it comes to these wow-experiments. Especially, as you said, most things are available in retail right now. Enjoy the crazy gems and silly scaling :)
The "silly scaling" is insanely bad scaling that makes it unfun and almost impossible to get into some groups if you're a fresh 70. You don't see the scaling because you clearly only do easy ass content.
@@bobyjoe9099 oh I know, that it makes some content unplayable, esp. as a fresh lvl 70. You are absolutely right about that. I just wanted to suggest a more relaxed approach in this wow-version towards these things. And in my experience it gets way better as soon as you have the trinkets, rings etc., at least it did for me.

Really hope they increase the thread drops rates and increase its over benefit. Tried to sign up for a few only heroic groups. The required that I have ward. Check. Here’s the kicker frogger req. so not only are they unkillable they one shot it. Yet they won’t invite anyone who didn’t farm frogs. Help the pugs Blizz. I truly hope every week there is a substantial increase to average players power. And not just those who spammed a macro to target frogs/cast starfall and looterang who get to have all the achievements and mogs/mounts. Too bad I wasted my time over the weekend unlocking my neck to gain a power advantage!! Oh boy was I shocked when I heard about frogs. Rant over.
Its no wonder that you dont get into heroic groups, because heroic is honestly brutal. Its like 10x health and I don't know how much X damage. It is crazy
@@DerTechNick thats the point, blizz tuned the raids so that u had to take advantage of a macro to kill frogs for hours, but then blizz nerfed it. and the people who played the game as it was supposed to be played, by doing the cheeves to unlock the extra gear, didnt get anywhere close to strong enough via the gear unlocks to compete with frog farmers.
so basically you HAD to abuse an exploit to do heroic raiding in the remix, as playing the game as intended doesnt get you strong enough, unless u farm the shit out of bronze and uopgrade ur gear. which is why this person commented they hope we get a power boost weekly because not a lot of ppl r gonna spend bronze on gear when they can buy mounts/mog.
As casual player who dont do normal raids i cant get amulet gear slot 😢 why gatekeep it? Should be raid finder amulet.
And I sit here being able to play less than 10 hours a week thinking that would be enough when they claimed bronze would rain from the sky and fun would be had by all being super op...
I’m playing this mode to get the tusks as I didn’t get it after 400 garrosh kills on retail. Now it seems having to raid without a juiced up cloak is gonna be tough as well :(
Kind of hard to raid when you get rejected from every normal raid.

Try Ward normal raids. I had no issues after getting both trinkets and both rings, doing all zone quests except for a few put me at 600 main stat, 7k stamina on my cloak and a little bronze to upgrade some blues to ilvl 360. Most bosses will be either oneshot or go below 30% hp and be easily nuked down to 10% at which point Slay will do the rest. Throne of thunder and siege of orgrimmar may be more difficult and require some coordination but at the end of the day they were fairly easy to do with 3-5 wipes on the more difficult fights.

@@jackroyal1499 easy. get a group of people with 600k-700k hp on dps/heals. you're not getting hard carried and it requires you not to be a mouthbreather. The bosses that couldn't be ward cheesed still went fine and tbh, the bosses that could be ward cheesed would probably still be oneshots without ward. S
Is there a list that shows just the items that are ONLY available in MoP Remix and NOT available in retail?
Not seen a list but Ingame the remix specific stuff has a lil remix label on in and anything from regular mop doesn't ^^
The vendor items have tags to show you what is remix exclusive
@@MrMrSymmetry what're you guys talking about, I see nothing like that when I look at the items vendors are selling? I'm pretty sure the cobalt korkron mount is remix exclusive but it looks the same as anything else when I look at the tooltip?

@@RockerBoy20045 When you talk to a vendor, if it says "Remix: Pandaria," under the item name, that means its only available in the remix.
Not mentioned here - harder difficulities drop higher quality gear. Your green chest and the rare blue heroic dungeon chest are not the same. You should basically never waste bronze upgrading a green quality item.
So you can upgrade a green chest piece from 346 to 360, get a blue chest piece and upgrade it for a few hundred bronze.
I'm level 70 and have to pull mobs like I'm playing classic, it's really ripped all the fun out of this mode

Huh I dunno what you are doing wrong but at lvl 70 at both paladin and shadow priest I can just mow down anything that stands around in seconds and I have seen others do the same. What class are you playing?

@@SoulessStranger Monk, things hit like a train and take ages to die, I've not followed any of the guides for what is the meta gems build though, I went with what sounds fun, since that was the point of the mode, which I know isn't gonna make me the strongest I can possibly be, but I'd think I'd at least not be struggling! Hit the same wall everyone else did at around 60 where the scaling was off, but hoped it'd even out at max level, guess I'm just stuck where a lot of people are now, grinding bronze to upgrade my gear
It took a long time, but getting 476 and queueing normal for transmogs and such (greens/raid drops) that I don't have, trading my already collected stuff to other people, and plowing through the bosses has been really nice. People are very thankful that I came along to help speed things up, too.
They need to nerf the cloaks that were done by the frog method. The 25% buff applies to EVERYONE, including those who did the frogs all weekend so that gap in player power is juat gonna be the same if not grow. Having people in game walking around with thousands of stats and over 100k stamina is broken. It ruins it for everyone else that didn't exploit the frogs. It's gonna take the entire time the event is running to not even get close to that kinda power....it was an exploit...they need to fix the cloaks.
Realistically, what percentage of players farmed frogs? This can't be such a widespread issue that you can't find non-frogger pugs.

I dont care about nerfing those specific player, but to hear they went and complained that blizz detected fun and nuked it..thats not fun, thats taking the fun out of it..
You can't just roll back people who exploited something that was in existence for around 10 years and Blizzard was just too stupid to even think about it when designing the event. That's on them, not the players who exploited. I only did it a little bit, but I'm not slamming raids like we've seen cause I also didn't upgrade my gear. I bought mounts

I personally think MoP Remix perfectly replicates the WoW feeling of constantly feeling weaker everytime you level in an expansion. It's guinely an incredible recreation of what players have felt for years.
It was fun to try once! Create a new character, grind Broze forever, and then what? What happens at the end of the event?
Hearing about the frogged cloak situation and seeing the comments about it makes me wanna drop the game again. I just want to join a raid, but cant since im not juiced.
Just make your own Raid. There are a lot of people trying to find a raid. So just build your own. I do it just like that and I get every raid cleared everyday besides ToT because the last bosses are PAIN with randoms 😅

Blizz really said, sorry, no having fun in this for fun mode.
I'm not really sure what the term "for fun mode" means when you will be able to use the characters that have been leveled in normal gameplay after the event ends. There's a reason they level all the way to 70 and can have comparable gear levels by spending Bronze. The spirit of the game mode is yo have fun, sure, but the characters made have real impact going forward, just minus all the interesting bonuses from the game mode.
@@Kaelyn91 all of the power is in the cloak. which will not carry over. the only impact it has is that it makes alt leveling a little easier.

@@Smash0360 That's what I said... These characters without the added power are going to roll into regular servers. This game mode has an impact on regular servers, therefore labeling it as "just for fun" makes very little sense. The event is an alt leveling bonus and/or a way to revisit an expansion that one enjoyed or may not have experienced. This isn't Plunderstorm where the gameplay is totally different and the only rewards are cosmetics. You get a fully leveled, fully functional character out of MoP Remix, plus the ability to earn permanent rewards in the form of Cosmetics, Mounts, AND achievements (which will also roll over into your permanent account).
So can this even be enjoyed casually and have any kind of rewards? All the youtubers are making videos about min-maxing it, which make it sound like an absolutely horrible experience
Yes. I’ve been playing it normally and going through content as intended. I’ve been awarded accordingly and the only thing I “sweat” to complete are dailies. All the TH-camrs and influencers literally racing to finish this content are ruining it for themselves and everyone else who follows suit.
Let’s be real. The transmog stuff is easy to grind out, especially in War Within when you attain all mogs, so just focus efforts on rare mount drops and limited sets etc.
Can they add chromie time to before the frogs were nerfed?

I got a ton of achievements after not raiding for many years, very fun too. Hats off to Blizz and the dev teams.
I do wanna point out and correct you on one specific point. Not everything is equally obtainable out of timerunning. If I buy a warrior tier set in timerunning, I can mog it with my pally. So I will be able to attain full sets of other classes that I am locked out of getting in retail. Unless they change that retroactively.
well, it will be possible to farm other class sets (or rather their appearances) in TWW anyway, so you will be able to get them in retail as soon as the expansion (or the pre-patch) launches
I had quit WoW for about 8 months now and hadn't planned on coming back for a while. MOP Remix sounded really interesting so I came back to give it a shot. This is my opinion but I finally leveled to 70 and feel like everything is soooo expensive for how much bronze you get. I bought the few things that I could afford and now I'm just waiting for WWs to release. It was a good go. 😂
Tried counting up the MoP remix reward costs (grain of salt I am not good at math). To purchase everything you would need roughly 1,509,350 bronze. Blizzard should apologize to the people who are left behind now blizzard was certainly aware of the possibility of the exploit. It was told to them by the people who played the Panda Mix beta but they flat out ignored it and people are rightly angry about it and it is blizzard their own mistake that should have been fixed before pandra remix was released and that they need to make things right by kicking back the people to square one who abused the exploit, that's just fair and square
I'm going straight after the world boss mounts I'm missing from retail, it's an absolute no brainer for me. I've already spent an unhealthy amount of time over the years farming those bosses that I'll never get back.
The gear will all be useless after remix but the mounts I will have forever.
So what is the recommendation here to maximize exp and time? You should play alts to what level before starting a new alt? At what point do you return to earlier alts and push them to 70?

Tbh just using it as a fun way to level alts and getting some fun stuff along the way.
Honestly I'm just aiming to level some alts. It's a gret way to power level classes I otherwise just never really gave the time of day to previously. One way or another its worth the playing for me and i'm playing more now than I have since Legion.
I also intend to use this time to level alts i don't already have leveled up. Discovered Enhance Shaman is a lot of fun and its almost 70, while my previous experience with ele shaman was so bad I left it at level 20

I’ve been playing since TBC and MoP remains one of my personal favorite expansions. I wasn’t one of those who were butthurt about giant talking panda-people in a game with giant talking cow-people and giant talking goat-people from outer space. I loved the music, and one of my favorite things was to just hang out in Halfhill when there was a thunderstorm rolling through the zone. I wish that we could still work on the Tillers faction and grow veggies again but it is what it is. I’ve enjoyed the crap out of the Remix and have gotten myself some great transmogs that I just never completed during the expansion or farmed afterwards, and a new mount to boot. I plan on getting all of the sets for transmog and the remaining mounts before Remix ends. I hope that they do this for other expansions perhaps once, maybe twice a year.

It seems like a pretty big problem if the optimal way to play the "unlimited power! infinite scaling! crazy gems!" limited-time mode is to keep rerolling low-level alts and deleting them at 40.
The optimal way to game is usually mindnumbingly boring and/or convoluted

My goal with this is just to enjoy the remix, get a bunch of alts to 70, and then get a couple of the cosmetics I want.

Won't spend a single bronze on gear. Mounts > toys > some gear sets and im OUT.
when you do domination point, you can go attack the beachhold of the other faction. we came across this randomly on monday night. we got a LOT of bronze and threads and all the mobs hyper spawn in close proximity. we woke up tuesday after reset expecting it to be nerfed. it wasnt. also using the bee's item and the yak helps a lot to mass gather and kill. we are horde, and the mobs spawn on the docks, the city, and the beach before u can clear each area. no idea how it compares to goats but its certainly a lot and really easy no group needed.
I thought it was supposed to be accelerated leveling experience. This shit is slower than retail.

Ah yes a 20% increase to bronze. The people who farmed frogs are already done with the gearing a 20% increase doesn't matter and you will forever be weeks-months behind. I legit feel like I'd rather play retail until they fix this, because at least there I can join a group to play content.
Nah this is horrendously bad, why tf did they tie the same currency with upgrades and cosmetics? Why is there even a humongous grind for power in a time limited event? It feels like it was balanced by buffoons with 0 design goals.
The ward stacks with all healing, not just selfheal :D

I love Remix and will hit 70 in three more levels, after which I’m going to start it again on an Alliance Timerunner because as a Horde player I’ve mostly forgotten the Alliance’s story over the years. Getting lots of sets for transmog that I never completed when MoP was released and didn’t farm for after the expansion ended. I hope that they do this for other expansions as well, perhaps about once a year.

I'm hearing to stop at 65 instead of 70. I hate dungeons and raids. Being casual it takes way too long to play through them! Also some players bitch when there is a wipe. Right now I'm level 65 and I just want to know which way is better stop or continue?

Since mop was the last xpac I played seriously I luckily don't need to unlock that much.
so I thought I was doing pretty good by jumping in an leveling up to 70 fairly quickly. My Brewmaster monk is closing in on 1million HP which I thought was respectable. Today, in a raid, a shammy healer was the top of the DPS/heals chart. He was sitting at 5.6 million health. Gear up level 542 except the rings, trinkets and necklaces. Needless to say, I was humbled.
Just a point...you cannot group a standard account toon with a time jumper toon now. I am not sure if thats always been but these videos dont specify. Is that new? How do I level alts that I already started last expansion with this method vs creating all new ones?

Anyone complaining that you dont want to play because other people have "frog cloaks" and you dont make no sense.

The power isnt kept past the 90 days
Someone else being stronger doesnt mean you can't get strong.
You can play the game for yourself and not worry about what other people have 90% of damage on bosses ends up being the gems anyway so stop worrying about power and enjoy the fun limited time game mode.
UPDATE: with the new Spools of Infinite Thread, do your Daily Dungeon, Raid and Scenario as well as World Boss kills on your main to catch up to the Frogslayers and eventually Solo MoP Remix.
The way Blizzard handled the exploit really soured my enjoyment of the event. Add on the scaling issues making me feel weaker as I level and the idiotic decision to use bronze for rewards and upgrades (anima anyone?). I may just end up finishing the run to 70, spend what bronze I have and quit. I don’t doubt blizzard will tweak things later but later is too late. I’m spending my time in the event right now. ‘Later” I’ll be done and gone.
Idk when this video was recorded, but blizzard has been nerfing hyperspawn farms left and right, even the ones mentioned in this video are already nerfed to the point of not being worth the effort.
Blizz needs to make the exp bonus on the cloak turn into a bronze % bonus at level 70...
And decrease the upgrade costs, its actually so stupid that the currency used to buy the cosmetics is the same for upgrading gear.
Its clear the teams in charge of plunderstorm and mop remix are different people. Plunderstorm team clearly loved the playerbase, but Im not convinced Kotick himself didn't come back to blizzard to personally design remix as a final fuck you to players

They shoul have put a cap on the cloak, thus avoiding a separation between the jobless/nolifers/grinders, and regular folks
I wasn't there during the frogs farm of Remix and all of that stuff. But I don't know, it's iconic to MoP, why nerf it to the ground ? Maybe they should have slightly nerf it and/or buff the rewards you get from dungeons, raids, quests and so on. That way, people who want to farm frogs can still do it, can feel tedious but rewarding. And if you don't want to engage with that, at least the usual stuff would be more rewarding
ok honestly most of us that missed the frogs think the 25 percent is a laugh. Like a posted somewhere else it would be nice id when we got 70 it would be alright for the reset of the cloak with increased stats and the next 70 would let the cloak reset a little higher than the last reset.
All this news is depressing. 8 hours of raiding for about 25k. And getting blown up after crossing a certain level threshhold...man

You should make a comprehemsive list of what items are unique to MOP Remix and what ones can be farmed in retail. With locations you can aquire them, i feel like that would be a great resource guide for people like me who are not knowledgeable enough to know but dont want to waste bronze on something they can get somewhere else.
I think wowhead has a guide up with these details.
I personally don't think you should have to do the achievements to get the rings trinkets and neck every toon
Can we get a list of purchasable items that no longer drop or are really low drop rates? That would give us a list of priority items to get here in Remix and allow us to use retail to get the low hanging fruit later.
What addon is that where the spells are dropping down vertically as they expire?
I know it’s not crazy efficient or anything but what’s working for me is just qing up for scenarios, dungeons and raids at all the same time. The scenario eats up the dungeon timer, and the dungeon eats up the raid timer. If not just re q for a scenario. Like I said maybe not efficient but it leaves me with zero dead time and constantly getting scrolls and bronze

For the most part Mounts, however there are a few things that are obtainable again that were not previously like the heirlooms that dropped from Garrosh. Along with unlocking entire class set transmogs is a lot easier since you just spend bronze for a full set unlock instead of farming each individual piece

I haven't had time to try the remix yet, but the only cosmetics I'm interested in are the pally weapon recolors, and getting a few alts ready for the War Within. Though I wonder how much bronze I'll have to blow on gear upgrades to get through those last few levels.
how do I know what is remix stuff only? someone said there is a mark at the gear etc at the vendor but can"t find it
By the time ive farmed the necessary resources to upgrade my gear, i spammed the mop raids and dungeons so many times that i dont want to play them anymore.
Can you get the heroic and mythic variants for the raid sets from the raids? I know you can get the lfr and normal set from the vendors.
Love how people with lives can never gain a single time to feel powerful. I was pushing hard to get to 45 just so I could farm frogs to make shit easy but of course they nerf it before I can get there. Now it’s just like each and every season / expansion where I get to complete open world stuff do normal raid some dungeons and the. Hit the wall where I can never get into heroic or mythic then quit because I know that I’ll never get the best gear or am able to kill shit easily. I might as well just quit now and cut my losses

The buff to benefit the people that missed the frogs wasn't enough. Take a look at some of those players cloaks....... A small buff to bronze for that? Also, still scratching my head over the level 70 scaling.

What most people don't get is that it DOESN'T MATTER what Blizzar does, WE WILL NEVER catch up to people who farmed frogs.

nerfing the frogs to being worthless before the weekday workers could have a chance to do it kinda blows since now there are a handful of insanely overpowered players having tons of fun, while the rest of us just get to do things the slow way, and 25% increase to bronze is an abyssmally low consolation prize considering how expensive things are. The fact that blizzard let it happen to begin with is insane considering this farm literally already existed in the original mop.
There is no busted in this mode unless you’re available the second a new exploit drops. They’re patching any sort of fun within 12 hours of it being discovered. Why couldn’t we just get what was on the PTR…
idk i'm only lvl 50 but it feels busted so far.
What would benefit any player that didn't engage with the frog farm, which is now apparently an unintentional bug, would be to revert bronze gains. Buffing other areas that make more sense (that should have been better from the start) doesn't mean it helps a player keep up with someone that farmed frogs hard.
It isn't a favor to have an obvious game breaking bug be "nerfed", aka fixed. But to consider the quests/dungeons/scenarios/lfr bronze buffs as a "happy ending" counterpart (aka "oh we farmed the crap out of those frog but hey you got something too, see?") to said frog farm bug is , sorry to this, kind of a dumb thing.
But reverting such bronze gains is impossible, given that it has already been used by players , aka "bronze laundering".
In other words, there is nothing beautiful about the frog farms...they fucked up everything and there is no going back.
Good luck getting a raid invite without having a "Frogged up" cloak. Can't believe your lack of calling Blizz out on this. If you didn't or couldn't do Frogs, your character is USELESS and forget about it.
If youre gonna leave pissed comments, at least know why you’re complaining. The power these players have isnt due to their threads, it was the obscene amounts of bronze they farmed. The ilvl difference is like 80% of the power due to gem scaling
@@StarlessSky2000 it still comes from the same thing the combination of the ilvl and cloak level is just absurd and the guy in the comment is right blizz should have either leave the frogs alone or rollback the froggers

The other day you mentioned using the Pandaria Scouting Map to get Bronze, has that been fixed or is that just broken? Super annoying if people got a big pile of Bronze for clicking one button if they did it quick enough.

This game mode was so fun initially. But now all we have is either weak good for nothing lvl 70s that will cost an eternity of raid spamming to upgrade, or overpowered froggers. And all they do is add little hotfixes like "here have a lil bit more threads, in a few months you will ge to where the froggers are" No ones enjoying this anymore and the disappointment in how theyve handled it is immense in the entire community. Sad, as the idea was such a good one.
Any specific limited time achievement for clearing raid beyond normal raid?

when scrapping upgraded gear what percentage of bronze do you get back in return?
Only spend your bronze on Garry Heirlooms, that’s if you can pugg the raid with out a frog cloak.

They advertise it as being “slightly overpowered but fun” and then nerf the more fun parts while also shafting max level players with a dumb gear grind. They need to nerf the amount of bronze it takes or significantly increase the bronze received.
They wouldn't even have to roll back cloaks just boost everyone up to that lvl. It's a limited event that is supposed to make everyone feel OP af anyway so just give those that didn't use the "exploit" everyone's happy and problem solved.
easy fix would be to make bronze drop more from your xp threads if you hit 70
I put my main at 460 ilvl, and damn I was ego tripping for a day... Then I levelup a reroll and make a lot of reroll is better than doing all the raid everyday
