I really like these kinds of breakdowns. Big help to other folks looking to get into scrapping. I personally dont have any space for it but i enjoy seeing things recycled ♻️
=Instead of cutting the crowns off, consider, take a big quality butcher knife and a wooden baton and just hammering the knife through the middle of the unit, splitting it in half. I've found this to be quick and easier than cutting the crown off. Just a suggestion.
You made 10 dollars a little over a half an hour. Is it worth it maybe maybe not I guess it’s all according how much time you have and if you’re not out picking something up just standing around the shop with nothing to do I would say it’s a good idea so I’m saving my motors and I’ll try to do the same thing. Thanks for the video. Enjoyed it full watchwhile I was cooking breakfast this morning. I have a bunch of motors to do. I’m looking forward to it.
Nice vid but you did fib a touch. Lol you don't strip down the a/c comps there is a good bit of copper in them with a plasma ya make short work of them. Good vid keep it up
Great way to compare the motor values. The breakdown is the way to go.

In Fort Wayne Indiana we get only 10 cents a pound for motors but we get 2.40 cents a pound for no.2 copper.
Ouch hearing these prices makes me happy I am here lol

I dont have a plasma or power in my shop or I would
Don’t forget to add your labour in to the equation. Everyone has to get paid.

I wonder how a portable band saw would work for the crown

Co. Thanks.
Overall, not a bad return.
Very dangerous
Mate
Right
Everything is worth scrapping if you have enough time and energy.
I mean, not if you could be spending that time scrapping something that would give you more $/hour. If you were doing this as a hobby sure
Absolutely
True but that's why I save motors and micro Scrapping stuff for times when it's down time
its not worth it, give it to me
Lol
