Thanks for the Sub Randy! Yeah this weekend we are heading up to Idaho down a sled till the shock gets back but hopefully we don’t have as many issues this weekend haha.
Nothing quite like being tired at the end of the day. Been there. Have to start early just in case it doesn't go as planned. Snow is falling this week. Going up this weekend. Mill Hollow or Soapstone.
That’s the truth! Have you ever had to sleep the night out in the snow? About half our avalanche class raised their hands saying they have had too because of bad weather! We are heading to Island Park, so I’ll be on my back up sled or rent a new sled till mine is back up and running. Should have some fun videos coming from that.
Costs of sledding: 1. Break yourself - I've done this one. Distal radius fracture on the left arm. Costs more than any sled breakage 2. Break the sled - I've had to drag a sled back before and fix it 3. Getting stuck - Too many times. Got better at getting unstuck. Have fun!
I thought so too, but the lower A arm got bent so bad it bent the shock too and caused the right ski to be bent down and be back about a foot or so haha. So it did keep diving like an anchor basically. It took me like half the ride back to figure out that’s what was happening.
Yeesh... at least you limped it off the mountain to the trailer. What a day !! New sub. :)

@801 Films I went to island park last year but it hadn't snowed in 2 weeks so the snow was horrible. I'll have to go back sometime!

That’s why our wives say we have an addiction haha.
Man those avy courses can save a lot of lifes
Did you blow up a ski rubber? Looks like it from how the right side kept diving.

I’ve had my snowmobile break before and it’s the worst thing ever! The description said some sleds wouldn’t start? What sled did that happen to?
Scotty’s Skidoo wouldn’t start after they got it stuck in the stream, so it probably added an hour to us getting out!
Trees are for traction not spindles lol
What a wild ride
Great!!!!!!!
