I’m actually kind of glad I grew up in dysfunction from my entire family. Couples who don’t communicate or don’t even act like a couple. It’s really shown me the opposite of how I want my marriage to be and I wanna be a good husband who will work at it just like I’d hope my future wife will too

Hard to get out of once it starts . You become Mommy & Daddy , and your jobs, and your roles in your kids lives.....and then end up wondering " where did US - GO? " It went to work, PTA, drs, dds, orthodontists, little league, layoffs, taxes, insurance, bills , sick kids, rebellious kids, shopping for everything for everyone, chaffeuring everywhere etc etc ......you not only forget your partner is an individual with wants, needs, dreams....you almost forget you are too ....this? is a great episode!
the irony here is that the "perfect couple" ended up divorcing because the wife cheated on him with his best friend and was gonna have the best friends kid
I actually adopted this a few years ago for my failing marriage and honestly it was the first of a few things that fixed the marriage. Sometimes it's these little things that partners need to ensure a valuable connection.
Wayne and Darlene should’ve just stayed out of George’s marriage. They have no idea how much of a hard time Mary gives him with her self-righteous attitude.

So many good characters. It is not just about Sheldon and that's good. I love the core 6, but they've got great adjacent characters at school, work and the neighborhood. I also appreciate that they have introduced good characters and dumped the weak ones, like Paige and Reba McEntire and George Costanza.

My favorite character, besides Sheldon,. Of course, is memaw.. she's funny, sassy, and beautiful, and she has a lot of admirers. (We're the same age.) Well, one can always dream...🥰
While that was a beautiful and heartwarming moment, it ultimately turns out that Wayne and Darlene's 'idyllic' marriage isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Any couple that is so sickeningly sweet and lovey dovey with each other has a serious skeleton in their closet that you really don't want to find. At least with arguing couples, their problems are out in the open. May not be perfect, but you know what you're getting into. I wouldn't trust Wayne and Darlene because there's something deeply suspicious about that sort of unrelenting happiness. Something unnatural. No couple stays this happy for this long. Not this kind of happy, where they have to pour it on extra thick. A truly happy couple doesn't act like that.

Of course, he may be annoying and naughty at some times, but Sheldon never lies to his mom, and he still goes to church despite being an atheist to make his mom happy unlike the other kids. Sheldon does all the taxes, and he never asked their parents to get a share of his money, I remember in some episode when George took Missy and Sheldon for twin test, missy demanded George to give her half of what he earned from test. Mary doesn't have much favoritism with their child as many in the comments claim, there are many instances where Mary scolded and punished Sheldon. When Sheldon cut the hair of Missy's doll Missy punched on his eyes leaving a mark on it, but still Mary didn't take any actions against Missy and said Sheldon deserves it, if I was in the place of Mary, I would have definitely punished Missy. If Mary disliked Missy than George does, why did she said if her parents get divorced, she will choose to live with mom. I had never found an instance where Mary complaining the family that no one is helping her in the household work, I am sure that if Mary were paid for such work elsewhere, she could potentially earn more than George.
It's easy to think "Of course I appreciate you, I shouldn't need to say it" - but it was obvious George actually really felt comforted when Mary told him how much she appreciates him
