- SHE'S GOLD! Vinyl Wrapping my ZX-6R Chrome Gold
With a white car, having a black motorcycle just seems too modest. Vinyl wrapped the ZX-6R a chrome gold finish. First time wrapping something so large/irregularly shaped. It was definitely intimidating to start and ended up being more time-consuming than I anticipated. While it's not perfect, it was a solid effort and it only gets better from here.

Definitely need to practice more but man, you did a good job for your 1st time. But what I do is I’ll wrap it, leave it and practice wrapping more intricate pieces or just random things and then I’ll go back to it. Just keep practicing. I’m about to actually wrap my 2nd set of fairings that I’m turning into track fairings. The "Kawasaki" on the gas tank is the sticker clear coated over. I don’t like how they did that but I’ve grown to understand it’s gonna help protect the badging. But good job dude

I know this is an old video, I was just wondering how long it lasted before it started to fade? Or if it started to fade at all? I’d like to wrap my zx10r but top brand stuff like Avery Dennison is like $800 for the wrap alone. This stuff is much cheaper but I’m not sure how long it’ll last.
Hey! I have wrapped it once more in a diff type of gold but same quality. It was also a cheaper cost vinyl. It’s been a few years now and it still looks as good as the day I wrapped it. The more expensive stuff differ mostly in terms of pliability and how easy it is to apply. Cheaper ones may not stretch as well but still doable. Good luck!

Rapping does take time as long as the words go together and the people don't try to Copy your Style..But vinyl wrap is a Son Of A gun..takes patience and heat..

I bought approx 5 ft x 10 ft but only ended up using about 3/4 of that.
I'm just feeling like, its a bit too much green, not really gold gold.
Is it just the video post-processing or color balance?
You’re 100% correct. It did have a green-ish quality to it. I had it wrapped with it for approx only 6 months. I have since bought a new vinyl that was more true to gold and wrapped the fairings with it instead.
