Mortalis, meaning to die, or death. As you know, several words in several languages all have multiple definitions. In english, this is also the case. A necklace is a chain or string of things worn around the neck. On the neck you can hang a pendant. An amulet is any protective talisman and might be a necklace, or a pendant, or neither...
Necklace can have an amulet or not. Necklace is just jewelry around the neck. Amulet is the thing that hangs on some necklaces; but doesn’t always. An amulet can just hang on a leather strap, which would not make it a necklace. Just an amulet. Hope this helps. Source: just riffin
10:20 - AMULET VS NECKLACE. A necklace is precisely that, a lace worn around the neck from which additional jewelry can be hung. i.e. a pendant: an architectural decoration projecting downwards. (Old French ~ the verb pendre meaning 'hanging') eg. pendant earrings. An 'amulet' is an object thought to be infused with magic or blessed to protect the wearer from danger, evil, or disease. Often made from durable materials like metal or hard stone, amulets can be worn as pendants, but they can also be worn in other forms, such as on the arm or leg.
What I believe the difference between a necklace and an amulet is a necklace is a decorative piece of jewellery where an amulet has a function or even has magical properties or powers
Sorry, all of them are great. I think its so great to see how Selene's story finishes. There is great, interesting lore in the last one, as well. I mean, if you've come this far (after watching 3) may as well go all the way! They're all great fun.
Hybrids are combinations of vampires and lycans (even Marcus has lycan blood from the guy who was killed last movie whose blood dripped into his coffin). Alexander Corvinus is an immortal human, and Selene drinking his blood just makes her a more powerful vampire - including daywalking. She's not a hybrid, nobody in this movie is looking for anything to create a hybrid, and the reason the lycans were looking for a descendant of Corvinus' blood in the previous movie is because his blood allowed the hybridization of vampire and lycan - what created Michael - otherwise the mixing of the two types would kill the attempted hybrid. This was all explained in the first movie and somewhat in this movie.
Alright guys, you have read the comments in the community post. Now you HAVE to do THE Evolution :) (a movie from 2001). It is absolutely golden. Also for Simone - IT'S GOING UPSTAIRS SO SEE YOU LATER
A necklace goes around your neck and an amulet hangs off of a necklace. An amulet doesn't have to be magical or special but it usually is a rather large single piece of jewelry.
That would be a pendant. The thing that makes an amulet an amulet is its power to offer protection. Think of a necklace of Saint Michael, or any other saints for that matter. Essentially a pendant is an ornament on a necklace, and a necklace is just the chain or cord, and an amulet GENERALLY is a pendant that offers "magical protection" that hangs on a necklace -- all colloquially referred to as "necklace". It can be slightly confusing if you're not an anal pedant like myself.

I really enjoyed the back-story! While the elaborate prison was also cool, how in the hell did that trapped Were survive all those centuries, in that tiny box? How did it eat? How did it not choke to death/drown in it's own waste? Little details like that always challenge what's being shown/said, and if they don't address it well enough, for me it really strains the illusion and enjoyment of the tale. Still, this movie has some very badass settings and scenes (That helicopter decapitation always impresses!). All-in-all, a wonderful trilogy! (I refuse to address the others, but that's just me) :-)

@@Brian-qn7fn dude, make other comments, don't just keep saying the same thing over and over again. Matter of fact if you hate these movies so much why are you watching reactions to them in the first place.
@@Brian-qn7fncope.
Alexander had seen enough suffering and death throughout the centuries. He was ready to rest.
George "Now there's a vampire helicopter".
There is a British Comedy film I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle (1990) if you are interested.
46:36 - TRIVIA - Tony Curran also portrayed a vampire in 'Blade II' as 'Priest', an Irish-accented member of the Bloodpack.
Vampire helicopter is the funniest George has ever been.
A little Canadiana for ya: The leader of the Corvinus guards is John Mann (RIP) - lead singer of Spirit Of The West. Song reference: "Home For A Rest"
A necklace is a chain or string of things worn around the neck. On the neck you can hang a pendant. An amulet is any protective talisman and might be a necklace, or a pendant, or neither...
one of my favorites in the series I love this movie and the 2012 sequel as well and Blood Wars too
The first one had the Selene even-better-than-superhero landing, so it wins out on that alone.
What a fantastic reaction you guys! I hope you keep watching the series!
Love the lore expansion in this one even though its a TAD more hokey. Just gotta enjoy the schlock.
This is my favorite of all of the Underworld movies.
Necklace can have an amulet or not. Necklace is just jewelry around the neck.
Amulet is the thing that hangs on some necklaces; but doesn’t always. An amulet can just hang on a leather strap, which would not make it a necklace. Just an amulet.
Hope this helps.

A necklace is a piece of jewelry you wear around your neck. An amulet is a necklace that usually has some mystical or religious significance.
Sorry, all of them are great. I think its so great to see how Selene's story finishes. There is great, interesting lore in the last one, as well. I mean, if you've come this far (after watching 3) may as well go all the way! They're all great fun.
Underworld is one of my favorite series of all time, I don't care how many they made and they could make more of them as long as Kate is in them.
Mayonnaise on an escalator is the most random reference I caught due to my friends sense of humor 😂😂😂
@12:18; Michael is struggling with the food because there is garlic in the the entrée.
This is my favorite of the series that I remember.
Mayonnaise on escalator is the best intro yall should do role models just for the LARP scenes in could see simone going to LARP
An amulet is what is hanging from the necklace, you can have an amulet that isn't even on a necklace
Chekov’s helicopter rotor. (Never thought I’d type that. 😂)
A necklace goes around your neck and an amulet hangs off of a necklace. An amulet doesn't have to be magical or special but it usually is a rather large single piece of jewelry.
thank youfor the extra time of your film reviews.
I understood what you meant about the unique keys Simone! 😂
Pretty sure the amulet is the decorative piece that hangs on the necklace. Could be a number of things all considered to be amulets.
I haven't seen these since they came out, but I remember liking the prequel the most. I think that's the next one.
In skyrim the vampire woman you meet, the daughter of lord harkon is called Serana, i know its not quite THAT close to Seline but i mean .... with everything else skyrim-esque in this movie i can see it
"Mayonnaise on an escalator."
I kinda want to try doing that now. Thanks Simone.
Actors Tony Curran (Marcus) and Bill Nye(Viktor) shared a heartwarming scene on an episode of Dr Who, even tho their characters didn't interact. Re: Vincent Van Gogh
You misspelled the name for Viktor's actor. It's "Bill Nighy". Check the credits if my words aren't enough to convince you.
During the filming of underworld Michael Sheen and
Beckinsale had a child before underworld, and after meeting the director Len Wiseman, him and Kate got married for 11 years before divorcing
So the secret is to work with her?. 🤔
I remember when I first saw this in the theater, I thought it was interesting that they made such a point in the beginning of showing how badly the sunlight burned her. Then later, when it showed her in the flashback as a little girl drawing a picture of the sun, I guessed that by the end of the movie, she would become sunlight-proof, and I was right!
George and Simone, if you guys want this kind of Epicness with good deaths and to the point action. Check out the Riddick series starting with "Pitch Black".
40:54 "He's strong enough!" but He's not heavy enough. I love these movies but I always have to push the physics to the back of my mind.
This one is a bit of a doozey but the prequel, Rise Of The Lycans, is an actually fantastic film.
Markus, and Alexander Corvinus, were both in "Gladiator", Markus as a Pretorian and Corvinus as a Senator.
Markus was also in " Thor: The Dark World " as Thor's grandfather and in Blade 2 as a vampire called Priest.
Marcus (Tony Curran) was also in The 13th Warrior and in a tv series about an SAS unit called Ultimate Force.
Oh and in Doctor Who playing Vincent van Gogh
"Nochnoi Dozor" (Night Watch) and the sequel "Day Watch" "(Dnevnoy Dozor) are movies that you should check out. More or less in this genre. Amazin effects (watch the movies with the subtitles on) and an peculiar history.
Another banger cold open from Simone 😂
I really enjoyed the back-story! While the elaborate prison was also cool, how in the hell did that trapped Were survive all those centuries, in that tiny box? How did it eat? How did it not choke to death/drown in it's own waste? Little details like that always challenge what's being shown/said, and if they don't address it well enough, for me it really strains the illusion and enjoyment of the tale. Still, this movie has some very badass settings and scenes (That helicopter decapitation always impresses!).
All-in-all, a wonderful trilogy! (I refuse to address the others, but that's just me)
:-)
An amulet has magical protection qualities.
You should recognize the vampire from Lock Stock 2 Smoking Barrels at 20:11.
With each film, the budget increases, and so do the effects. But there is also something to be said when you have practical effects as much as the first film did. -OG
Hi George & Simone, really great to see you continue with this saga. I`m glad you are continuing to enjoy it. Despite what other`s have said, I enjoyed all the films & seeing the final one in particular. However, if you don`t want to react to them I understand but I would suggest completing them in your own time (If you still have any ??).
Kate and husband director practically adopted Scott Speedman (Michael) as a family pet after the 1st movie that it got so awkward for him to do the sex scene in the 2nd.
Also, I think i miss Simone saying, "He's in Grey's Anatomy."
Have you seen the movie " afflicted " ? If not i recommend it . Its a vampire flick but in a documentary / found footage k8nda style and is so under rated . Its on my top 10 vampire movies 😊😊😊😊
