I think because I had been Frances carer for a number of years and promised that she wouldn't have to go into hospital or a care home I missed her so much when she passed and was lost for quite a while Cheers Iain
The air temp was low and the wind coming from the North East my hands were so cold that when I put them in the river it felt warm . I'm not used to being cold but it was good to get out Cheers Iain 🥃

I wish that I had chosen a different line Paul I don't think it suited the rods and I was forever having to force my cast and suffered for it in the morning Cheers Iain. 🥃
in the morning I used a sage 12.9 TCR (stiff rod) in the afternoon 15ft sage Z Axis . The Skagit was one of the first from Rio and the taper never suited the tip . the time I hooked the fish I was using a 5ft fast sink tip so wasn't fishing deep

I could hardly feel my toes Mike and it took a while with the heater blowing full blast before I warmed up . it was good to get out
