- Attorney Chad Delesk of Balin Law discusses what Social Security requires to approve Disability Benefits after having a Stroke.
The severity of the stroke and how long the impairment is expected to last is the main factor in Social Security's decision to approve benefits.
Chad reviews what that means exactly per Social Security's rules, and provides details on all of the SSA's requirements for Disability Benefits - in general as well as specifics unique to strokes.
I had 2 strokes 5 years ago. Mos5 people wouldn’t know it by observing me, but I need frequent breaks and can’t possibly do more than 20 hours a week. If it’s a rigorous schedule, it might be I possible to do any…or be counted on. I used to love working 70 hours a week. This is a vast and sudden change, but I feel like because I can walk and talk ok, my major problems don’t count. It’s very frustrating.
3 years after I’m stilll struggling.
