- My thoughts on the Chaves Ultramar Redencion Street. This new lineup from Chaves knives made by Reate has some greatr potential. I would like to see some other finished, but this is an amazing start!

Great knife, I don't hate the clip but I prefer when skulls are a bit more subtle like gavko or olamic does so the knife doesn't look like a death machine even when pocketed. I'm a bit biased I guess since most of my knives are 2 tones and somewhat mild .
But yeah sure is awesome for the target demographic for overbuilt tank.
It's his signature. Kind of would be silly to get rid of it at this point. I EDC'd the original Redencion Midtech spanto and I enjoyed the clip a lot, always drew a smiley face on the clip to make the skull happy lol.

I just ordered the sangre this morning. I am very happy to be able to be able to pick this one up before they are all gone.
I believe blade is same on new Reate Augustus, which will sell for $375. Its an M390 Flipper. You can get Rendencions with thumb studs for $299. I enjoy flippers but really a fan of thumb stud knives with this kind of ceramic bearing action. I’m a retired cop and have no problem with the pocket clip. Think “Punisher” Knife Center points redeemed 😁 Satin Tanto Green Micarta inlay on the way to the 🐺 🚪
I've often wondered why skulls became such a ubiquitous symbol/meme. Chaves knows his target market. Hoist the Jolly Roger!
Would definitely get one if I had the budget. Just other knives I want a bit more. And $300+ for production knives is getting high end. Usually for that you see something a step up from s35vn, but still a kick ass knife, and sold out quick.
i used to want one of these. really glad he went with Reate and made them more available to fans cost and quality wise. but honestly its probably the most popular knife on instagram... and its just over done it for me, ive also over done it with tactical knives in my collection. if these were available last year i would have jumped right on it.
Tactical Center getting there too man. Overbuilt is going the way of the dinosaur.

Great video Doc thanks. I really like that it's a bit smaller. The only thing I didn't care for was the inlay. Not that I don't like inlays it's just that square of Micarta on in the end of the knife looks odd to my eye. I'd prefer it ether cover the handle more evenly or go plane like I think you mentioned. Other then that I'd love to snap one up whenever I get an opportunity. 😎👍

Looks pretty good except for the pocket clip. Kind of reminds me of Emerson customs.
I like it a little more with that size than the 228, but I’d have to get a cf inlay version if I picked one up

Did the size change on ultramar streets recently or are his measurements on his website off? They never seem to match any of the reviews I watch, whether it’s Rendicion or Street. 🤷🏻♂️

That knife is impossible to disassemble without jacking up the scales. The scales have to be removed to service the knife and get the knife apart...
I really like the way the tan-to is executed. I would have to have satin or stone wash though. Overall I think it’s a pretty great effort. Really good price point. Did you mention the steel type? Another fantastic review FF 🤙

When you opened this up did yours have strong detent? I just received mine from knife center and it is extremely hard to open. I don't think it is normal

Knife far to expensive i would not pay more than 125 for it a Buck 110 is much better
