Alex, Lorraine and team, Its the first time we see the front double wheel system and we are so proud to be motor of choice for such a ground breaking project! 🔥
This may have been the coolest thing I've ever watched!! They've promised me that a wheelchair is in my future, so seeing this, and Lorraine, was nothing short of inspiring! Thank you heaps!!
Lorraine is incredible. With all she has accomplished careerwise in biking and bike design, then post accident recovery, developing an infrastructure for wheel chair moto cross in Switzerland, shredding on the sit ski, she also trained largo as an assistant dog herself. Truly someone who gets it done.
This is incredible and great to see how this will allow others to regain the enjoyment of biking following an accident. I’ve followed Lorraine’s journey since her accident and this is great well done to all involved
As a Fellow biker when i seen the 😃 Smile on that young lady when she said , " I got something back i didn't think i would! " It filled my glasses with Tears of Joy !!... 😊 Hugs
This is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for helping put others back on the trail. This really is incredible. My heart goes out to both of you guys. I am missing my left arm and without my homemade adapter, I would not be able to ride my mountain bike. I’ve had my arm adapter stolen before and it was completely devastating For years not been able to ride. When I finally got back on the saddle, it meant everything to me. My heart is very warm for that young lady and the amazing inventor.
This brought tears to my eyes, so beautiful to see Lorraine able to ride again - I commute to work by bike, I love riding, I know what it means to me, I can't begin to imagine what a blow it must have been for Lorraine to have been told at the time that she wouldn't be able to ride again... and now, she can! THANK You to everyone who made this happen, for Lorraine, and for everyone else who will benefit in the future.
Fantastic achievement for all involved. We take for granted being able to enjoy our bikes, this is a real eye opener. Congratulations to Orange Bikes, Alex & all involved, just brilliant! My partner & I both ride Orange mountain bikes & I will definitely be investing in another for our keen 10 year old daughter! Way to go Orange 🍊 👌🤗
Wow. That is a Beast. Congratulations to Alex & Orange & all involved for building this for Lorraine. LEGENDS. That front end with the twin 38s & the technology. Brilliant. Who in the world gives this a thumbs down ???????. Maybe another bike company. Shame on you.
Holy crap, it's amazing! Since highschool, I tried to build a bike with two front wheels; I have a couple forks and tubes, but I still lack the means to put together the mechanism. I made CAD drawings, even a cardboard model, and the design is basically identical to what you have built! The major difference is I don't modify the head tube to attach the linkage, to preserve the add-on nature of the mod, but instead move the attachment point below it on a tube, and fit two smaller diameter wheels so that they can be kept closer together to allow for steering and pedalling, and to compensate for the extra height derived by moving the fitting below it. Doing so allows me to add another linkage between forks and center tube behind it for added strength, instead of only a single parallelogram on the front. Suspension can be fitted directly on the linkage to allow the use of rigid forks and to keep the bike upright, depending on how stiff it is... just don't hit bumps at the same time with both wheels! Does the steering follow the Ackerman geometry? I doubt it would be noticeable with such close wheels, but I haven't experimented yet. I really like the extra handle for manual support, great job!
Incredible work. The engineering to produce something like this and for it to work that well is completely understated in the video. Great work to Alex and everyone at Orange Bikes.
I clicked cos I've always loved Orange designs, but I never thought I'd be tearing up! What a heartwarming story of reuniting someone with a lost love, I'm happy to know this is currently happening, good for everyone involved.
"Feeling like being on downhill bike that just eats everything.." The phrase that gave me goosebumps and sums everything up for her passion as well as for the designing and engineering creativity of this bike..!
That is so awesome, you are still able to ride, you are so blessed. I ride in town a lot , like 7-20 miles a day and I do it to lose weight, I have lost 30 pounds in three months riding. God bless you.
Massive kudos to all involved in getting this young lady back on a bike and back on the trails! You've all won yourselves some massive, positive karma! Thanks also for sharing the story, you brightened my day!!!
Love this this is the true essence of engineering it's about more than making things better for us who are fortunate enough to be able bodied it's about giving those less able the same opportunity to have fun we do.
Really exciting design. I think something like the cannondal lefty forks instead of the typical beefy dual stanchion could make this even more appealing, weight wise. Love orange bikes. Cool to see this.
This is so cool. I've posted on the Facebook page of the Downtime Podcast to get them to feature this project as I'd love to hear more about the development of this.
Looks like a stage 6 factory with an extra fork. I was looking at this and thinking its amazing and weldone but its 7k just for the base bike. Then an extra k for the extra fork. And then the cost of the adaptation. I feel its not gonna be cheap. Brillant work. Giving somthig back to someone like this is brillant.
There's another version for people with higher level spinal injuries that doesn't require transfer between bars. Most winch into the bike rather than climb. There's a Q&A on the Orange website with the designer or email Dezmotoracing if you want to try it 🤟
Love seeing new adaptive designs. It’s seems you would have to have quite a bit of core function. I like having the eassist and being able to pedal on my off-road cycle. That being said. I miss being upright when I ride and would love to try it
If you email info@orangebikes.com they're collating a list of people who want a test ride. There are different versions including one which requires less core function for those with higher spinal injuries 😊🤟
Incredible machine. The only question I have which the video left unanswered is what the front to back balance is like. Some adapted bikes are very nose heavy, which could well be the case here. But a big motor, the battery and the seat position could all have been chosen to minimise this. Would be great to see how it handles in the air.
This is awesome. Nice work!!
good to see you man
I saw Jerry built something similar for his wife ☺
Would be great to see your wife on one of these Jerry.
Never expected you to to be here :o
Alex, Lorraine and team, Its the first time we see the front double wheel system and we are so proud to be motor of choice for such a ground breaking project! 🔥
We're stoked to be working with you on this one, cheers!

Maybe cancel out some noise of the motor somehow it was limited to quarter throttle anyway i get u need the torque but not that winy rc car noise wth
👏👏👏💪
Martyn Ashton needs to get a hold on one of these
I also had that thought!
@@heymadam Likewise
Absolutely. GMBN and Martyn Ashton need to be contacted.

This is the most impressive adaptive bike I have seen. Looks totally shreddable! And how about her dog @ 7:07??
Lorraine is incredible. With all she has accomplished careerwise in biking and bike design, then post accident recovery, developing an infrastructure for wheel chair moto cross in Switzerland, shredding on the sit ski, she also trained largo as an assistant dog herself. Truly someone who gets it done.
This is bloody brilliant! What an awesome bike. I am so stoked that Lorraine has found a way back onto a bike.
This is incredible and great to see how this will allow others to regain the enjoyment of biking following an accident. I’ve followed Lorraine’s journey since her accident and this is great well done to all involved

Not only is the bike incredible but to hear Lorraine speak with passion n see her ride is inspiring. Oh n Largo is amazing......so smart.

This is absolutely amazing! Shout out to everybody involved in realizing this bike!
Brought a tear to my eyes, exceptional vision from the designer and well done Orange getting on board 👏🏻
Absolutely fantastic!! Well done to all involved, it’s simply spectacular! Seeing her dog assist is very special too.

That’s incredible! I know many other designs, those are cool too, but this here is a game-changer! Great to see!
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring. Fantastic stuff Alex and Orange! Go Lorraine!

Huge respect, that linkage is genius! Well done everyone.
Lads in Halifax, you absolute bloody legends
This is absolutely incredible. well done everyone involved and to that one person who accidentally gave it a thumbs down .....we forgive you

Very very nicely done! People like you move us all forward!

Play stupid games win stupid prizes. She should be careful or could end up in a wheelchair.

Remarkable! I love Orange bikes. I hope Orange bikes will be available in the Philippines soon.
Everyone involved should be super proud of themselves, and all they have achieved here. Inspiring and heartwarming, Hats off to you all!

Massive kudos to all involved in getting this young lady back on a bike and back on the trails! You've all won yourselves some massive, positive karma! Thanks also for sharing the story, you brightened my day!!!
I thank you for showing us how the front suspension works and not leaving me with a ton of questions!!! Tony
Better than any of the ‘make you smile’ videos on TH-cam! Love the concept but also love the name of ‘Adaptive Bikes.’ Is so inclusive.
That’s awesome nice to see some innovation in the industry.
plus that dog is cool.
Amazing, massive to credit to all involved, totally blown away 💪👍
The world need more people like Alex.
Bless this girl and that very clever and good doggo

That’s awesome !!! I love Orange and am super impressed to see they have collaborated to build this bike. 😀
DANKE das es solche Leute gibt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job. Appreciation and huge round of applause 👏.
Congratulations Awesome job, I saw you from Argentina , fantastic great job👏👏👏
Amazing achievement! But nothing beats seeing a rider happy to be riding again!
I just can’t understand who would thumbs down this video
Inspiring story! I love it when engineering meets humanity and says we can do this!
Это трогательная вдохновляющая история, она мотивирует многих почаще катать на байках!

Great to see it all come together, looks fab and hope to grab a test one day ;)
I saw photos of this on ig, I was amazed on how it looks. This is nice for these people
This is amazing! Well done. Awesome engineering too
Just awesome, this is probably the best thing I’ve watched for weeks, the rider is a legend let alone the bike being an amazing adventure vehicle....
Truly outstanding! I hope you all find much success with this endeavor!
I think this changed my mind about e-Bikes. Well done.
Thank you guys you make this world a better one
What a fantastic video, well done everyone!
The design is so simple and obvious. I can't believe this hasn't been done sooner
Fantastic work by all involved - brought a tear to my eye.
Congratulations Alex and Orange and Fox to develop this bike for her. Would be a great idea to market this for elder riders too
Brilliant job, you should be very proud of your work.

Amazing work Orange Bikes!!
amazing! Glad you can get back on the saddle! :)
Brilliant engineering design for those of need. Very cool.
Sooo good guys. Looking forward to more videos of this.
You could shred Ourimbah on that mate.
cjapps82 ha if I could get on it! I think you would need some good trunk function for this.
