- Martyn Ashton has been riding adaptive mountain bikes ever since his accident and wanted to show his friends how much fun these Adaptive MTBs from Bowhead can be! In this video, Martyn goes for a ride with Blake Samson, @SamPilgrim , @owilkins23 and Gustavo 'Guga' Ortiz. They take advantage of the amazing Whistler location and push each other to get SENDY! Though it does get a bit too gnarly at the end 😳

My favourite thing is how Sam is somehow the sensible one! “Slow down Martyn!”, “Oh no, I can’t do that bit!”, and Blake and Olly are just, “HAHAHAHHA THIS IS SO DANGEROUS AND SCARY AHAHAHHHAH!!”

Im so glad that there are solutions for passionate bikers that can no long ride a 2 wheel mtb but have a bowhead to continue having fun a cultivate their passion. And Guga is wild, doing Scandi flicks with that bowhead, awesome!
💯%! Adaptive mountain bikes have helped thousands of people get back out on the trails. Bowhead has been a great help with this! It'll be exciting to see how much more adaptive mountain bikes can become for people with different physical disabilities. MTB should always be about inclusivity! 🙌

Congrats guys, that was the coolest most interesting and inspiring video you've ever done. Too cool and looks like the best fun ever. Kudos for the designers of the bikes, to come up with something where you are literally sitting on your arse with only upper body movement for control yet being stable and fast is a fine engineering achievement. Brunel would be proud.
Sam gives such great commentary on the rides, but Olly's hysterical laughter was just awesome!!!
Love it!These things look super fun.These could catch on for everybody.Think about it,the lower you go, the perception of speed is far greater.Doing 35km/h on these things would be like doing 50 on a standard bike.Pure undiluted fun.Want!

Personally I think that UCI needs to open up a racing catogory for adaptive bikes. If we have the paralympics, why can't we have something similar for MTB?
So much fun watching this, and Martin not only leading the pack but peddling by hand too.I was just thinking to myself but Martins bike needs a "Knight Rider KITT " style ramp jump kit fitting for extra punch on take off.
I couldn't love this enough. I remember when my daughter started playing wheelchair basketball socially and the group had spare wheelchairs for parents and carers to join in. I had been in her wheelchair plenty of times and had some good skills but it wasn't until I was out on the court being outplayed by everybody that I really gained a new appreciation. These gents gave it a real good crack and I'm betting they have a new appreciation too. Hilariously awesome video.
So much respect for this video I know it’s just another day for Martin but that fact he had Pedals and still rips is so awsome to watch and all the boys that put down there downhill bikes and stepped into somebody else shoes I think is something very special good video

Fun stuff. Brings back memories for me teaching adaptive sit skiing in Winter Park, Co. We would have a large group of students come from Britain for a week each year, a great time was always had.
I was so excited to see that. Must be a brilliant insight for Martyn's mates. I will watch that again and again. I have had a go on a Utah trike, pretty different and basic compared to a Bowhead, but amazing fun.
Seeing Guga roll over twice was super gnarly. Glad he's alright. But Ollie going into the hedge was one of the funniest things I've seen on film in a while 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@GMBN crew, Hi, thanks for that vidéo. Might it be that adaptative mtbs are the biggest addition & innovation since bike parks. I knew some very dear people whom would have enjoyed this bikes if they were available then. Yet, it was just a dream in the 80's and 90's.

See adaptive videos makes me so happy. It gives me comfort that if I crash and can't ride a normal bike anymore there are still options to get on the dirt.

This episode is great because I used to have a catrike with heavy duty off road tires and an e-motor. Then my back healed then I got back in the regular mountain biking. But there are fun times I had on that thing. Several times I flew up hill where other mountain bikers couldn't ride because mine had a electric motor.
This is so awesome and fun to watch. Love adaptive MTB is getting more attention!
