- Martyn Ashton has been riding adaptive mountain bikes ever since his accident and wanted to show his friends how much fun these Adaptive MTBs from Bowhead can be! In this video, Martyn goes for a ride with Blake Samson, @SamPilgrim , @owilkins23 and Gustavo 'Guga' Ortiz. They take advantage of the amazing Whistler location and push each other to get SENDY! Though it does get a bit too gnarly at the end 😳

Im so glad that there are solutions for passionate bikers that can no long ride a 2 wheel mtb but have a bowhead to continue having fun a cultivate their passion. And Guga is wild, doing Scandi flicks with that bowhead, awesome!
💯%! Adaptive mountain bikes have helped thousands of people get back out on the trails. Bowhead has been a great help with this! It'll be exciting to see how much more adaptive mountain bikes can become for people with different physical disabilities. MTB should always be about inclusivity! 🙌

Congrats guys, that was the coolest most interesting and inspiring video you've ever done. Too cool and looks like the best fun ever. Kudos for the designers of the bikes, to come up with something where you are literally sitting on your arse with only upper body movement for control yet being stable and fast is a fine engineering achievement. Brunel would be proud.
I couldn't love this enough. I remember when my daughter started playing wheelchair basketball socially and the group had spare wheelchairs for parents and carers to join in. I had been in her wheelchair plenty of times and had some good skills but it wasn't until I was out on the court being outplayed by everybody that I really gained a new appreciation. These gents gave it a real good crack and I'm betting they have a new appreciation too. Hilariously awesome video.

See adaptive videos makes me so happy. It gives me comfort that if I crash and can't ride a normal bike anymore there are still options to get on the dirt.

…and now I want an electric trike like these. Three wheeled vehicles don’t require a special license to use on roads here (South Carolina) and navigation of the laws concerning two wheeled electric bikes can be difficult. If capable of speeds greater than a certain limit or having more power than a certain limit, entails getting a motorcycle license to ride the two wheelers, but you can’t use it for the qualification test. This eliminates that issue and looks genuinely fun to ride.

Essentially this vid proves that no matter how old/how talented/how able you are, Some wheels + some dirt + some friends = fun
Love it!These things look super fun.These could catch on for everybody.Think about it,the lower you go, the perception of speed is far greater.Doing 35km/h on these things would be like doing 50 on a standard bike.Pure undiluted fun.Want!

Wow What an epic a day as a disabled person myself my left leg is shorter than my right and my spine is slightly bent so know what it feels like to have mobility problems but it’s still doesn’t stop me from riding my bike don’t let your disability stop you from doing what you love doing there are lots of people that can help You. and support you get down the trail It hasn’t stopped me so why should it stop you #Odubs The bush baby lol

Fun stuff. Brings back memories for me teaching adaptive sit skiing in Winter Park, Co. We would have a large group of students come from Britain for a week each year, a great time was always had.

There is no way I'm doing that without a roll cage, flares, a parachute, packed lunch, and some magazines for when they rescue me out of a tree.

I was so excited to see that. Must be a brilliant insight for Martyn's mates. I will watch that again and again. I have had a go on a Utah trike, pretty different and basic compared to a Bowhead, but amazing fun.

You are allowed to, I believe; but consider that you may be taking a bike someone needs. I would just check with them on the day about availability/ stock and decide responsibly.

This episode is great because I used to have a catrike with heavy duty off road tires and an e-motor. Then my back healed then I got back in the regular mountain biking. But there are fun times I had on that thing. Several times I flew up hill where other mountain bikers couldn't ride because mine had a electric motor.
