Recommend the new Oil tear that’s new in the dlc that coats everyone in oil for increased fire damage. It’s dropped by one of the new Furnace Golems, I forget which.
It’s in the ruins where you have to wake up the furnace golem with hefty fire pot

@@Mrmiamiw The one you wake up drops the bloodsuckling tear, while theres another lying on the floor to the right of the ruins which drop the oil one

I'm running the sword and helmet as well. The Winged Serpent Helm is by far the best looking armor piece they added with the dlc.
Also you can alter it and remove mesmer's hair replaced by ur own which is nice

Does it just come down to personal preference between using flame spear or skewer? Do you miss not having many points in Strength for when you don't use the Ash of War?
What other weapons/talismans do you like to pair with this besides the Misericorde?
Since I only use Fire Serpent and messmer's orb I use Fire Knight's seal

How are you running NG2/3 when you have 4 magic scorpion talismans?
Can personally vouch that this build slaps, would recommend, going Turtle and Defence talismans alongside Alexander's and two handing though, damage already feels suffient with ashes of wars and buffs active.
The other talismans came from trading. I'd stock up on meta items to trade faster without having to reload a save between each trade.

i have a mix of 50 strng 60 faith and 25 endurance is this optimal?
I see you have a Misericorde equipped too, i'm assuming you use it for crits when you stagger, what's the ash of war / infusion and does it matter?
Yes for crits, infusion whatever scales best, in this case Flame Art. For Ash of War, I usually put utility like Parry, and sometimes a Frost or Poison depending on if that's more important than criticals.

Use gauntlets and greaves of solitude instead of the tree sentinel armor. It matches very well with the fire knight chest and wing serpent helm
Yeah it's better poise but it's also heavier. That and everyone is using Solitude, just because it's so efficient.

Been running this build most of the DLC and loving it. Have been struggling on the last boss fight (scadutree level 16). Any advice other than get good? (Lol) For instance, is it even possible to get off a chatged flame spear?
Flame Spear is not a good idea for that fight. Then again not much is. You have to play perfect which is why most people deviate from their build to run a parry or guard/poke DoT build. I had more success with Flame Skewer.

You mentioned something about hitting 50 poise being related to damage, can you elaborate on this?
Hm, not sure I said anything in relation to damage, but 51 poise is just the minimum breakpoint to aim for.
@@Xenoswarm Oh I see. Well then on the topic of fashion, the Drake Knight Greaves fits the aesthetic of the Fire Knight Armor well. It has some red bits and the thigh bits don’t clash with the chest area.
@@KestonCharles yeah they do look good, but with those, the Fire Knight chest, and the Winged Serpent Helm, there are no gloves that can push you over 51 poise, hence the challenge :D

Well it would be less about which is better and come down to which you prefer as they would essentially be different builds. The 2 handed moveset is a huge factor as to why I play the weapon to begin with. Power stance would also require a lot more investment in stamina, strength and talisman sacrifices
Power stance collosal sword is not good against fast bosses, which is basically almost every bosses
Mesmer Helm also increases Fire Knight's ashes, right?
It does, however it does less. As the Mesmer Helm "slightly" increases both Mesmer incantations and Fire Knight skills.

My problem is I can't decide what ash of war to use between flame spear and flame skewer.
Anyone got any arguments for one over the other?
I like the ranged option of flame spear. It seems to shoot out that projectile which is cool. The other one is basically giants hunt with fire. Which is cool too but I think the ranged one is cooler.
What is the dagger for you have equipped?
Some enemies give you more time to do your critical attack when you break their stance. In those situations I switch to Misericorde Dagger for extra Critical damage
Lions claw works really well with this build as well
use fireknight great sword, win game.
Does the chest increase flame skewer too?
No, though it does benefit Mesmer incantations which is nice if you wanna run Fire Serpent incantation etc
If im level 250 , where i should spend the 100 extra levels ?
At that point it's personal preference really. If I was anywhere between NG+ 1-5 I'd put those points into utility (Stamina, Mind). Higher than NG+5 i'd probably invest in reaching my damage caps.

Yes, this is a faith main stat build. Flame Art is B scaling Faith. Fire is for Strength.
aren't you better off using a different talisman and incants like lightning spear or black flame? with 70 faith you'd expect more versatility
I mean, yeah. It's just a thematic template based around the Fire Knight. I did say I use Godslayer's seal specifically because I like to use Black Flame incantations :)

@@dioxyde0 if you're wearing lighter armor (or sacrificing a talisman for Arsenal Jar) and can manage the smaller stamina bar, then it looks all good!

Fire Knight is for Mesmer Incantations, and it has weird stat scaling. But i'd definitely consider it for a Mesmer build
your str is 15.. but the weapon requires 22 whats up with that?
Two handing it multiplies ur strength by 1.5

I believe they've nerfed the true combo potential, which only affects PvP (though I'm not sure because they only stated they addressed a bug, and we assume that is what the bug was).
It’s actually does more damage now with Flame art affinity
