I hope that McFarlane Toys will add Doomsday, Darkseid, and Etrigan the Demon for the DC Multiverse. And also, a possible new McFarlane Toys Spawn figure too.

In Jay C's interview with Todd McFarlane he stated actually he was in the process with talking to a sculptor on making one of those big DC characters since Jay C brought up on doing a Bane or more bigger DC characters which Todd said he would and wants them to be giant but affordable but he also haves to check in the packaging since it haves to be uniform with the line.
So he haves to make sure the box fits the figure if he's gonna make it gigantic. Honestly, I would love to see him make a Killer Croc but with soft goods pants that's all torn up and weathered up.

I have just got this Superman figure today for £10 should of been £16, been wanting this figure for ages trying to find him. Went to my local Tesco store and saw it there on the shelf so grabbed it before somebody else got him, I love collecting my figures, I have predator figures, Batman, tmnt, Hot Toys robocop, Jason voorheese, going to get a display cabinet to put them all in, but the Multiverse superman by Mcfarlane is absolutely amazing.

Completely agreed with people being overly critical. I’ve got Marvel Legends since Toybiz series one. I’ve got Spawns too. Because the sculpts are unparalleled. This Superman figure looks awesome!! The only thing I don’t like is the scale size. That logo does don’t look painted on. Was it a sculpted piece? For a first run it does it’s job. It gets me excited about better toys to come...

Superman, the superhero drawn to look like the perfect humanoid specimen, has a fucking potbelly. Not only do these figures not have the standard level of articulation, but the articulation that it does have looks mechanical af. I’m a huge DC fan and I am so sick and tired of getting these garbage DC figures year after year. Now we have no domestic, 6-inch, $20 DC line. Thanks McFarlane. People are definitely being too hard on MacFarlane. For 20 bucks, the only valid comparisons for these figures are the Marvel Legends and Mattel's DC figures. Are they better than Marvel Legends? No. But it's not fair to expect that MacFarlane would copy Hasbro. He's obviously trying to get the same type of articulation, but going about it in a different way. Are they better than Mattel .... I would argue mostly yes and that's how collectors should see this line: A step above Mattel, but a step behind Hasbro which is good because Mattel was like 3 steps behind Hasbro. Mattel became complacent over the years and only at the end (when they were going to lose the license) did they try to improve on their figures, but I don't think they were passionate about the DC line compared to the WWE line. Based off of MacFarlane's FB and Instagram video looks and sounds excited and passionate about the line and wants to get the fans good figures. I think he just needs time and he'll be able to provide the kind of figures fans really want.

Of course the animated figs aren't gonna be super posable, they are meant to look like the cartoon above all else. The comic figs should be fully posable though. While good looking, it's a disappointment that McFarland didnt give red meat to DC starved collectors like double joint elbows and drop down hips. Guess I'll be waiting for the mafex figs I have on pre-order to do what no one else seems willing to do, give me a great classic superman, probably the #1 character in the world and no toy maker treats it right with all thst money on the table. Of the line it looks like Superman has some of the better proportions, especially compared to pin headed Batman, tiny arms Nightwing, etc. His legs/lower body seem a bit too small but it’s not as awful as that gross comic Batman.
I like the head sculpt, I like the metallic Superman logo, the colors are pretty nice. The articulation is decent enough I think. I don’t love the plastic cape but that should be easy enough to replace. It’s odd that he comes with only one fist, so technically you can’t even perfectly recreate the basic classic hands on his hips pose from the cover that’s on the trading card it comes with. Overall it’s a decent looking Superman and if I see it out in the wild id probably pick it up just to have it tbh

McFarlanes first batch of DC figures do appear to look better. Paint colors aswell. However the 22 points of articulation on theses figures do seem to limit your ability to effectively pose these figures properly without fear of breaking the figure or joints. I saw comments on another review that someone has broke the leg or joint. If your a box collector your fine. However if you like to pose your figures, I'd be concerned.
I think the Superman and Batman symbols are too big that they are preventing the proper size of the butterfly joints from being integrated and used. Double jointed elbows and knees should be standard. The abdominal crunch should be designed consistently. Not sure I like the wrist pegs colored. May need to explore flesh color. Heads cannot be properly placed in flight poses. They don't go back far enough Multiple heads (passive and aggressive), pairs of hands (grabbing, flight hands and fists), effects and accessories would be nice. I agree with flight stand standard for all figures. Some of the figures legs look pretty weak. Batman head is too small for his body.can we get cloth and wired capes? Can he provide an elite or ultimate collector line down the road at 6.5 or 6.75 addressing many of these issues in the future?
Many of us fans/collectors have been waiting for some decent DC figures to replace old dated 6" DC Universe figures, but it seems we are getting 7 inch well painted stautes from McFarlane. Very disappointed. I want McFarlane to be successful with this line, but not impressed with his first offerings. I suspect there will be improvements over the next 3 years, but time will tell. Hopefully he will listen to the fans constructive feedback for future releases.
I understand these are 20 figures, but I did expect more. I would gladly pay extra to have some of these issues addressed. I suspect there are other collectors who would agree.

Since like Anthonyscustoms said with human anatomy on buff men, typically Superhero male characters they have wider torsos I a V shape and the legs need to be thicker too. @@EXPENDABLE50 you have to get superman right. If you don't you're sunk. I canceled my sups order and without sups, what's the point in the line at all. Superman and batman ARE DC. Screw them up you might as well throw in the towel. And this is indeed a screw up on both counts.

@@EXPENDABLE50 but they're not. They also have weird proportions so the asthetic junkies are out. The articulation is weird, so the articulation junkies are out. And the style is strange and inconsistent, so that group is out as well. On and on. It's a fail. He's got three more years though, so we'll see.

Cant wait to get this figure. I like my DC essentials superman but mcfarlanes just looks alot better imo. I dont mind the 7 inch scale ppl need to chill out about that lol. The mafex superman has dull looking colors and its gunna be on the smaller side it looks like. Great review!

Yeah.... it’s not like DC Direct, NECA or Diamond Select don’t have a 7 inch Scale.... or the various Hasbro 6 inch lines are visibly shorter and taller from one another....

In terms of 7-inch scale DC figures, the NECA and recent Essentials figures are much better. Essentials has actually gotten alot better in recent times too; Their Nightwing and especially their Red Hood are really well done.
