I'm not a beach person either. Too much boredom, sun and sand in my shoes. I'm big into Greek myths so much appreciate your Zas cave visit. And I too would prefer low key Naxos to shallow Santorini. Thanks for your video.
We took our teens to Greece. A blog said Naxos has a steady breeze for Windsurfing. We all loved the place. Daughter windsurfed, boys rented a motorcycle and explored. Wonderful food on local Main Street (not by beach). I’m enjoying going back to your previous videos. ❤❤
Came for the Portugal homestead stayed for the wholesome family vibe and travel delights…oh, and can’t forget the chickens. I’ve really enjoyed this channel when I have a little spare moment.
Good thing you didn't go into labor, Tara! 😜 Your little one will be very healthy from all the exercise. I am actually watching and writing this after you had Crusoe!
You guys are fun! We were talking about island hopping this morning and that chat has brought us here! Great video and some gorgeous hiking (quite a lot of up hill!!) Really enjoyed it. New friend and sub here xx
Morning Postcard and a pint! Thanks so much for watching this video. Great to hear from you friend. Greek Island hopping ….. doesn’t get much better than that! Thanks for subscribing. 👍
John once had a sore throat in Israel. They gave him a pill that made his throat disappear, he couldn’t feel it at all. Like his head was floating!! 😂😂😂
Hi Clare, good to hear from you, sound like you have some exciting travel plans on the horizon, at last hey?!! Naxos was great and one of our favourite Greek Islands. I don’t remember the app we used; sorry :(. It’s a small island though and people are very friendly, worth also hiring a car to get around and explore, it’s cheap and easy, you can do that when you get to your hotel. Have a great time!!! 🇬🇷☀️😎
Hey Soren! Thanks so much for watching and great to hear that you’re headed to Naxos! We were there around that time and did find that a lot of smaller places had closed, and some of the activities centres but there was always a bar and restaurant to go to and of course the gorgeous beaches snd hiking stay open! Have a fantastic time and thanks so much again for watching and getting in touch with us.

Hey Karen, Thank you so much, what a lovely comment. How amazing is Naxos hey?! Your husband is cool, excellent place to propose, well done for saying YES! Great to have you along with us. Thank you. 🙏
Hi Anna, Great to hear from you! Kiitos! You’re right about the subscribers, we could certainly do with some more, please if you know any one who might like to join us all on this journey do let them know about us. Thank you 🙏
Hi Lee! Thank you :) that was a tough walk, but we loved it. Next week is a big one (sneak peak... we head to AFRICA!). Great to hear from you friend, thanks for the support. 🙏
You've seen Santorini during Covid. Nope. Santorini is beautiful but it is definitely not the real Greek island experience. Overpriced, extremely crowded with a destroyed local culture. The original villages on the slopes of the caldera have come to a point that now they are an almost contiguous urban area made of hotels and restaurants. If you have to visit one island only because you want the authentic Greek island experience and not just sun and hot weather then definitely not Santorini. And not even Naxos to be honest. But between the two, Naxos definitely has kept a lot of its character. I would suggest people to do their research and visit less known, less destroyed by mass tourism islands, like Andros, Folegandros, Astypalaia, Sifnos, Kythera and dozens more. Where you can explore great nature, taste real food and more importantly support local businesses that are not owned by large tour operators. Prices are ridiculously lower and they are as much accessible by ferries as the more famous islands.
Alexandros, EXCELLENT advice my friend, thank you very much. We shall certainly be taking it all onboard. We loved Greece, and hope that we can explore further when this COVID time is over. If you didn’t already, please do like and subscribe, we would love to have you with us. Thank you!
The last of our Greek van life adventures. Filmed just before the Greeks moved into lockdowns, we were very lucky to have had this amazing experience, it’s a really fun video!! Be sure to keep watching to the end and find out where we head next week!

Princess of Naxos. Great value, small walk out of town.
What is the app you use to discover the beaches and information about the island? It looks incredible!
