I tell you right now bo. That thing there would have been a handy thing to have, back yonder when I was a little sprout. We did all our corn by hand. Picking, shucking and silkin, blanching, and cutting. We were some wore out gators at the end of the day. I always got stuck totin the cobs and mess out to grandma's chickens. Those were definitely the good ol days. Now that both ny grand parents are gone, and I'm a lot older, things have gone a different direction. Our lives are pretty much in high gear non stop. I miss sitting and talking to the older generation, and I definitely miss fixin corn. Ya'll have a good un.
We got it this year and it definitely speeds it up. We’ve still got to do all the other by hand, but the corn stripper makes cutting it easy! The older generation went through so much, it is crazy to think about their way of life. More people raised their own food to live off of, and I know all of my grandparents worked hard their whole lives. They went from outhouses to this new age of technology, they saw the world change entirely. Keep watching we will have more videos. I hope you have a good en too ole buddy. You keep postin videos, I'll keep a watchin. I have to agree, that life slows down at some point. People tend to miss out on a lot.
