Hey, Nice job on the Plugs and Spring swap. In my 50 years of wrenching I've changed many spring packs from cars to heavy trucks. Half the time reusing the U bolts. if they look good and not detreated. I know many will cringe at that, but, using common sense works for me, never a problem. I too have kaegi's remote reservoir. Nice safety upgrade. Cheer's Happy Thanksgiving, TGP
Thanks for the video. I’m studying all of yours closely.🙂 Starting to tear down a ‘48 myself. I’ve read elsewhere that we shouldn’t reuse the spring u-bolts, but sounds like VPW recommended it?
I like to use air hammer to tap in freeze plugs.
Cant wait to take mine out for a ride, its been apart for 20 years
Better get on it!😉

You are so cool!😉
Enjoyed the video! Question - is the small tank on the firewall a brake reservoir? I’ll be curious to see what your engine upgrades will be. Take Care
Yes it is

Yes they did. They sell some for other models but not for these.
Do you know how much higher your truck sits in the front with the new springs?
@@mikescott4007 no more than an inch or so. It’s probably correct height now.
OK, thank you
Springs are in backward better turn them around
There is no backward
