Thank you for making this movie. I am a survivor of DV. I didn't know about this book, until all the movie drama making was in the news. So glad it all happened! Two of my friends also went through similar DV and we all saw this incredible art piece. It is hard to get out. I loved my person of DV. I kept falling back into the relationship for 15 yrs. I finally moved and ended the cycle. My person had his own issues that made him the way he is. It is very complex as to why people stay. I have never seen a movie that explains it. My Family still doesn't understand, but this movie, this book is a way to pull back the curtain into the lives of those that experience it. Thank you.(I cried so hard while watching and it had me reflecting about my old haunts- amazing art you have made)
I am struggling to breathe after what Colleen said.I really think it’s a very good and brave thing to write about such horrific events of your actual family life
That's called "word salad" and Narcissists use it to dominate the conversation. It's a circular conversation where they appear to go on and on and on....all while their co stars next to them are visably uncomfortable, and they aren't actually telling much of anything. The media keeps calling Blake's behavior as odd and "out of touch" and "tone deaf" but it's actually red flags of Narcissism.
as mentioned in the video description, these were shot at various points during production/post-production last year and earlier this year. Hers would've been earlier this year. Clearly something shifted in her approach to promoting/"discussing" the film in the immediate run-up to its release
This woman is delusional about domestic violence. I’m a survivor of horrendous domestic violence and suffer PTSD AND she hasn’t a clue about what LIVING WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS AND THE DANGER OF TRYING TO GET OUT. The most dangerous time of a DV relationship is when you try to leave. She needs a reality check.
I am working in media. Every interview will take 15-20 mins with many questions and answers but the editor only choose 1-2 answers for broadcast because the limitation of air time. they will always choose the juicy and funny one Instead of the serious contents. Might be Blake talk much about dv but the reporter didn’t choose it. This segment is a really long one like kind of footages. almost carry all their answers and it seem to be a special feature made after the drama( but the interview of Blake is record before the premiere if you notice the dress and the background)
You are telling me collectively all the outlets that interviewed her decided to choose the parts where she sounds like a shallow human being? I mean, that’s possible there aren’t that many independent outlets to begin with.
She has no idea what it's like to survive in a violent environment... and it's insulting that she wants to represent it when she doesn't even bother to try to understand it....😔😔
Good God she should have researched DV before doing the movie!! She doesn't have a clue and for her to assume only vulnerable women get in that situation is shocking!!!
@@Sarafactanonverbashe does say that. She says she hopes this wakes people up to the fact that it can and does happen to the people we least expect to include ourselves. Stay mad!
@@stephaniegalloway5677I'm confused with your comment. Blake said the right thing here. It does happen to confident people. It does happen to most anyone. It happened to me in very different relationships and when I was in very different places- weak and vulnerable, confident and strong.. it happens in some way..emotional abuse as well, Until we get help and heal our Trauma. That's only when it can End. Why should she stay mad?
This is the very best interview with Blake. She is being Real and is showing her connection to the meaning of the project. I wonder if Blake needs to just do interviews on her own. Maybe she feels competion around others? Or she just needs All the Attention herself at All times.
Um…it is easy to see that she has no idea about DM and so she should not address this much of the unknown because she is off base. And talking way too much without saying anything clearly. Just say you wanted to do the movie because you liked the screenplay…I still cannot believe you haven’t read the book. And even though Justin hasn’t gone through DV he actually states profound truth. With out going on and on about nothing I might add.

Yeah, that’s how they do everything now.
I think this was Blake’s most thought out interview. I wish this happened a few weeks ago tho.
Damage control to the max
When were these shot though? Says 2023 and 2024 prior to the film's release in the description 🤔
I'm waiting for Blake to do some PR stunt.
When was this filmed? This is the Blake Lively we wanted!

This is the right way to promote this movie.
Why did she use press events to push her booze line when alcohol is the most common instigator of domestic violence?
On Point. More research on her part was needed

So Very True. 😥

Make it make sense. There is a pattern with Blake Lively doing stupid things. Reporters are not setting her up.
I find her hard to listen to now
Where's Brandon?😊

she is LITERALLY saying it can happen to the most strong and confident women :/
She didn't say that. She said the tropes in lit/screen portray a very stereotypical instance of DV.

She’s super annoying

Is this a new tape? Or a PR new move?
This is the Best Interview of Blake. I wonder if She Needs Full, One on One Attention at All Times?
