But to put "Beauty", as a criteria for success, along side years of practice and journeymen work is in IMO a detraction. As a jazz musician yourself, I don't think you'd opt not to purchase a ticket to see a very talented MEN's jazz combo -- simply bc the members were less than handsome? The old joke, "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? - Answer: Practice, Practice, Practice". Yours were not the only comments listed that called out the physical beauty of the artists, and I agree 100% with that in the here and now. But I'm thinking of the young girl who dreams of one day singing or playing piano like that. Shouldn't investing in the craft of making beautiful music be enough?
