I've never written a review or a comment on the web but i cannot avoid to write somenthing about this Samara's performance becasue I feel that she is a rare pearl from another galaxy, bringing the spirit of Billie and all the other queens of jazz back to Earth to awaken in all of us the essence of our soul made of universal beauty. You know what I like about it? It's a little bit the PAST of jazz. No tricks. No envelope pushing. No gratuitous solos. It's THE SONG, with clear words, melody, harmony and rhythm, all rendered with the highest levels of taste and musicianship. That's the stuff for me. (Some say Bach and Brahms were backward-looking. I guess you could support that opinion if you have to -- but history has been very kind to those guys, and for good reason IMHO.)

I hear a lot of Sarah Vaughan inspiration in her singing. Beautiful voice all around natural. She won the Sarah Vaughan competition in 2019.
