people complain that "they don't make music like they used to" but they're just not looking in the right places. Allah-las are a throwback to the better days while keepin' it fresh. i love their style.
Imagine my surprise when this and Mac Demarco were played at the beach on my holiday in Greece. Thank you to the awesome boys who were working at the bar, cheers
Out on the water's where you're gonna find me All alone with with my mind, headed for a bounty I've been living so long all by myself I can't think of living with anybody else I'm an oyster pearls locked up in a shell You better bring that diving bell, oh But I want you near I wanna whisper to your ear Wanna hold your hand I wanna be your man, alright Out on the river's where you're gonna find me All alone with my thoughts, headed for a bounty I've been living so long in a habitat Where the land's mighty rocky but the river stays flat Can you show me something make me part with that, oh no But I want you near I wanna whisper to your ear Wanna hold your hand I wanna be your man I'm gonna get you girl Like I got you Wrap you up in paper, bite you You're the pretty little thing that I've gotta have 'Cause I want it
restores my faith in the notion that young and cool contemporary artists can make grest music. Rythm, melody, lirics, just super f____ing cool !!!!!!!!!
I had november after-noon sleep of few hours. Realized life pushes too hard sometimes, I shouldn't get so hard sometimes. time flows by. sometimes I just abandon myself to it, to everything. for what are thoughts? so let it go. I lived with eyes sleepy. And now I'll go out in crystal air. a african farytale man awaits, and music on thursdays. Time repeats but is never identical. Your fractal spirit circles to peace. Realize
think ive seen that same exact tree house on here somewhere else. Like it is the guy who first started the whole treehouse movement 40 yrs ago. anyone know more about it? age is a state of mind..this music is retro sounding to me...going back to the 60's...like Ventures dropping acid or something. Thinking that adults climbing, building and living in trees is a healthy thing. It keeps us young and there is a bunch of studies from the Harvard School of Psychology that associate reversing aging with activities and mindsets that take us back into early times of our experiences and references. So puff on that, fatty Daddy!
kaan boşnak bu sarkıdan esinlenmiş olabilir ama ustune kendine ozgu bir kac şey eklemiş bu tum sanat dallarında vardır daha dikkatli dinleyenler daha iyi anlayacaktır
I don't see any kind of similarities whatsoever, neither musically, lyrically or stylistically. Beyond the title I'd say the songs were entirely different. What is it about the YM song that made you draw that conclusion?
Although I do like this tune, just wondering how far can copyism go? When will we hear the actual Allah Las? Because so far I am hearing only other bands...
Standells, Count 5, Nobody's Children, The Accoustics and 5000 other garage bands. But that's not a problem - I do realize that not anybody can be listening to garage rock as long as I do as I am an old guy that has been listening to this kind of music for like 35 years. I do like this tune, but it's not original, which is not a problem in itself anyway.

Yeah and I barely found 2 people that can relate with me music wise, everything is fucked up, happy we got bands like Allah Las at least
When this song plays full volume, it will always feel like summer no matter where I am
Barry Purr It's the reverb haha
Imagine my surprise when this and Mac Demarco were played at the beach on my holiday in Greece. Thank you to the awesome boys who were working at the bar, cheers
So weird I read this comment, literally just getting into both Mac Demarco and Allah-Las this week. Been waiting for guys like these for a long time

Out on the water's where you're gonna find me
All alone with with my mind, headed for a bounty
I've been living so long all by myself
I can't think of living with anybody else
I'm an oyster pearls locked up in a shell
You better bring that diving bell, oh
But I want you near
I wanna whisper to your ear
Wanna hold your hand
I wanna be your man, alright
Out on the river's where you're gonna find me
All alone with my thoughts, headed for a bounty
I've been living so long in a habitat
Where the land's mighty rocky but the river stays flat
Can you show me something make me part with that, oh no
But I want you near
I wanna whisper to your ear
Wanna hold your hand
I wanna be your man
I'm gonna get you girl
Like I got you
Wrap you up in paper, bite you
You're the pretty little thing that I've gotta have

restores my faith in the notion that young and cool contemporary artists can make grest music. Rythm, melody, lirics, just super f____ing cool !!!!!!!!!
The band said they hate this song…like what? This song is a banger!
i think its just the most overplayed song from them.
I don't see how this band doesn't have more views. They sound awesome to me. I grew up listening to "oldies" though.
Allah-Las has been my greatest discovering this year. this decade! you can hear velvet underground and the british invasion all over it.
un truc revenu des années 60 vraiment super
favorite song from the new EP Tell Me, and awesome vintage-look to this vid. people who have parents from the 60s appreciate their new style & sound

is this inspired by the yawning man/kyuss song catamaran? I can hear some similarities
I don't see any kind of similarities whatsoever, neither musically, lyrically or stylistically. Beyond the title I'd say the songs were entirely different. What is it about the YM song that made you draw that conclusion?
I think they need to start extending songs with jams
Awesome

Although I do like this tune, just wondering how far can copyism go? When will we hear the actual Allah Las? Because so far I am hearing only other bands...
what song this one was copied from?
John Verhoef this IS Allah Las lol, their genre is literally 60s revival pyschedelic rock.
Standells, Count 5, Nobody's Children, The Accoustics and 5000 other garage bands. But that's not a problem - I do realize that not anybody can be listening to garage rock as long as I do as I am an old guy that has been listening to this kind of music for like 35 years.
