Good shit. A lot of 60s vibes
Hell yah bro, right on track with those "I thought were dead" sounds and vibes.
Great lyrics too
Y'all are so freaking good... I am addicted. ~/*\~
These guys have a slightly better lock on the pure essence of good 60s music than good 60s music itself. In this album I see the Rolling Stones/Cream/Eric Burdon faction of the band has ceded territory to the Strawberry Alarm Clocks/Sgt. Pepper/Pink Floyd faction. I'm okay with that.
Yes, that's about what I think. There's other new bands harking back like The Temples, but somehow much more sophisticated which isn't what we necessarily want. In the 80s and 90s Dukes of Stratosphear and World Party explored that zone. Then maybe the more rocking Kula Shaker. But Allah Las maintain the carefree naive vibe without being too naive. It's really cool.
the allah las west coast experimental band
best track: place in the sun
you forget to mention "Pop Art" in the title... and that's another cool band ;-)
@@MrMicalo you forgot to mention "Bitzmika" too ;)
you forget to mention "Chupamesta" too...
Best track is Could Be You, by far
