LOP is my first Soulsborn type game. When I first played the demo, I got my ass handed to me by the first Police Officer mini-boss on repeat and wondered how anyone could enjoy this kind of game. I then played FFXVI, got used to that combat and once I finished it, went back to the demo of LOP. I found it much easier to understand and beat all the bosses/mini bosses in either the first run or in under 5 attempts tops. The result is, I just HAD to get the full version of LOP on launch. Loving the game and your vids. I finally get the appeal and enjoying the progress. I can now be satisfied with incremental improvements and watching your times get faster and faster is motivation for me to git gud. Rock on dude!

Just doing a lot of random s***, plus knowing that these type of gliches are present of plenty other games, still kinda of fascinating, considering this Game is not very popular as a speedrun
Probably looking into the code, and lots of the glitches used are also used in other, similar games speedruns (like zip glitches quitting out of the brotherhood boss fight to disable the ai, and going under the map)
Speed runs kinda make me scratch my head because they go against the design of the game, but it is impressive to watch how ppl can discover so many unique ways to get them done.
ok how the fuck do people find these skips. like the one that launched him directly to the black brotherhood boss fight. and speaking of the boss AI glitching i am not sure how game companies have not figured out that instead of having the AI activate when you go through the boss door they make it so when you are in the boss room they activate it would make all boss AI glitch freezing useless. well unless you fuck up the AI during the fight i mean.
I've never really gotten why this kind of speed run gets recognized. It's like a celebration of figuring out how to cheat or something. Like.. lets say a speed run for those working on perfecting speed runs takes around 1 hour. If it involves beating bosses while underleveled and otherwise performing flawlessly, then that's all mightily impressive. But if you then discover a GLITCH allowing you to skip two boss fights saving you 15 minutes, and runs now take 45minutes - It's not like you got 25% better at that first speedrun; its completely changing the rules by discovering a glitch, right. That discovery is what changed; not your skills. Just like if you run a half marathon (21km) in 1 hour. I'm not gonna be any more impressed if you find a shortcut/cheat and run 15km in 45 minutes. It's - if anything - EASIER to perform flawlessly for 45mins than for 1hour. In a sense, what you are now doing - is less impressive. That's what this looks like to me. 8-) Finding cheats and glitches to actually lower the requirements to perform, by reducing the time needed to perform well, only for the sake of an arbitrary and inflated achievement of seeing the end credits as quickly as possible - with no rules or restrictions involved to actually measure the performance up against others. A new world record in this genre due to a glitch, simply means someone found a way to bend the rules of the game even further, not really breaking the past record, but making a "new game". And whenever you get to make or define a new game, then you are instantly the worlds best in that game. Again - In a competition with a total of 1 person competing - I'm not all that impressed when you win :S (not impressed by the speed, at least). Probably an unpopular opinion in this speed run community - but shoot me. I'm curious to hear from all the ones getting butthurt by this :D PS: The actual boss fights were amazing! That' shit was impressive for sure.
If you don't like the glitches, check out the glitchless runs of this game. This argument is in every speedrun comment section. Some other people feel the same way you do, and that's cool, but there are categories for a reason, and the rules aren't going to magically change because a few people don't like glitches.
The reason stuff like this is allowed is to push the game to it's ABSOLUTE limits without any outside tools interfering with gameplay. It's all shenanigans and no actual cheating (using outside tools that directly affect the game, so stuff like timers or metronomes are allowed, while things like cheat menus are not, unless of course, shenanigans). EDIT: also 100% runs and glitches are held to a higher regard I feel, so even though I like glitched runs, I still feel like 100% speedrun is harder and cooler. EDIT 2: Also glitches don't necessarily make a run completely easier, the gameplay becomes easier, but now you have to execute the glitches which let you skip the gameplay. Some glitches can even reach frame perfect timing or complete luck, so while glitched runs might be easier in some aspects, they are also WAY harder in others.
It's actually the opposite, people assume glitches are easy and fun go do, but alof the time they're stupid precise and only look easy because of the 10's of hours of practice. Also, there's glitchless runs if ur not into any%. Bro doin a whole lot of wafflin bout something he knows nothing about 💀💀 like go watch football or something bro

It's actually patched now for PC and console. So, technically no, you could do it on 60 FPS, but the only way to use this patch is by playing on PC
