Wow, I haven’t watched Lies runs in a few months and these new skips are insane! Congrats on the sick time and congrats on going to GDQ! This run was cooked all the way up until some of the abbey skips but pulling off so many tricks in one continuous run must be super difficult
If you are considering doing 100% achievement you don’t have to actually listen to all the records all the way through, you can just play and skip through them for the achievement. Therefore, you’d probably have to pick maybe just a few songs (the shortest ones) to get your heart is pounding. Likely you’ll want to use that time to do upgrades and levels.
Oh, that's great to know actually. That'll help with routing for sure, do you know if it's actually required to listen to any of them? or can you get that level of humanity through just lies/sidequests?
@@Blanxzfrom what i've seen, i don't think questlines alone can get your humanity to max. i'm pretty sure you need to listen to most of the records. on one of my playthroughs i missed doing one questline but had every other thing for humanity and listening to the final music records and giving sophia peace gave me the golden weapon
Sorry for the late reply. I do not think you need to listen to any records to get "your heart is pounding but its worth testing out. I think you can get enough from just doing the side quests and lying as much as possible (also choosing to kill the girl before the very end is the single biggest humanity gain)@@Blanxz

Honestly, killing Sophia gives the largest amount of humanity in the game. That plus a couple of the faster side quests (puppet baby, wedding ring [which also allows you to gain humanity from a dialogue with the merchant at the hotel], getting the cure for Antonia, and doing Venini's plot) might do it.

So you don't have to necessarily listen to all of the records. You just have to play them and then leave the vicinity. You will get the same prompt as if you have listened to the full record. You xan cut a lot of it this way

I plan on making an any% tutorial in the future, but for now if you join the speedrun discord on speedrun dot com there are resource channels for save tools and other helpful things like practice tools. Good luck!

Regarding All Achievements You only need to start the record, no need to listen all the way through, for them to count towards the all records achievement, so the run is not out of the question. It's basically a NG, NG+ and NG+2 run with one of the runs being high humanity for the true ending, and collecting all of the records and weapons It would propably be a nightmare to rout given that you need all boss souls for special weapons, all cryptic vessels, all weapons, all records, and humanity. But it would be a hell of an achievement. Propably like a 3-5 hour endeavor at least.
I'm wondering what the inputs are when you're leveling up, it feels like you select the desired level really fast, but I don't see how you do it 🙈 Mouse wheel?
Genuine question, right now, I think my 1050ti gets 40-60fps on medium, is perfect guard just really narrow window, or does a higher FPS make it much easier? I also feel like the aegis is really slow to get up when I use it, but any video I see of it, it seems to come out way faster so it's made it easier for me to just dodge around a bunch, it feels like it takes 2 seconds to pull up and it just feels too slow Vs 90% of the game that hit right as it drops or right as I'm bringing it up, but again, any videos I see of it, it seems like it's up instantly..

If this run had a headline it would be "Guy claims to be one of the best players in the game, while refusing to actually play that game", this was definitely interesting to watch, never knew lies of P had this bug with going off map.
I didnt even know you can parry in this game. Yeah theres a perfect guard which would technically count but what the fuck. Lies of P has an actual parry (or.. what looks like an actual parry. Im talking about the first 2 attack counters at lexasia)
