Mel, I think it would be helpful if you include a picture of the person you're interviewing in your thumbnail. For one, it visually differentiates each video a bit more. Secondly, on the off-chance that someone doesn't follow you but they follow your guest, you've got a new listener/subscriber when your video pops up in their feed. It would also help to put their name in the title. All this to say, I really appreciate & enJOY your podcast!

I can tell you that psychology of money is so real. When I was little our neighbor put in a beautiful pool and frequent outdoor parties that we did not attend, so I asked my mom if we could put a pool in. She told me the only reason they put that pool in was because her dad died and the life insurance paid for it. Not sure whether that was the truth or not, but ever since my subconscious told me that to have a rich life, unfortunate events needed to happen. Later, as an adult when my own father died the inherentance was used for a down payment. Subconsciously I felt so undeserving of that house that circumstances caused me to foreclose within 5 years. My whole life has been one financial struggle after another. I am grateful for this podcast episode.

Last night I listened to Robert Kiyosaki, amazing man but the way he delivers is what gave me anxiety and it demotivated me. Good morning Mel…you once said on one of your podcasts that you read every comment, so I wanted to share this helpful concept as you continually strive to reach the vast in this world…
I believe you, and you bringing variety to help people in many areas of their life. And many times I would love to share your content, but what I have found personally is your choice of words can be offensive to some, and because you’re audience brings all kinds , it would be so helpful if you stayed neutral with some of your language. I am a believer in Christ and I can’t forward this information to other believers because they would be hugely offended by your “F” word often.
Your reaction may be it’s just language, Debbie… But I believe that words are powerful, and they have double meaning and we have to realize that our goal is to help everyone not just people who will not be offended by your language. I speak from the heart, and from a nonjudgmental Place but from one entrepreneur to another the saying, is you get more with honey than you do vinegar. From the bottom of my heart, I urge you to take that word out of your vocabulary when you’re talking to the world and you will touch more lives. ❤️🙏

    • @kimberlyhenninger6346
      @kimberlyhenninger6346 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

I agree. I love both of their podcasts, but I don't always like the language. I can't play it in the car when kids are in. And some may say, "kids have already heard all that before!" And they are probably right, and that proves my point. They are ex[posed to seedy and bad language a lot, why don't we give them some examples that show some of us still believe in the power of words. Satan can't read our minds, but he can certainly hear our words. I don't wanna give him anything!

When I was a child, I remember going to the beach and most of people in the restaurants were Americans. Me and my family didn’t have money, so while I was eating my watermelon y visualized myself going to those restaurants. Few years ago I went back and I invited my best friend to eat at a nice restaurant closed to the beach. I told him, you can order whatever you want ( it’s my treat). I ended up drank and singing with the musicians. My friend said “ the money they you spent on a dinner, that’s the money I make in a whole week of work. I felt great being able to invite my friend:)).

THIS IS GOLD! They should be teaching this at schools. I have had a very bad relationship with money where I spend without a budget, without looking at my finances... and sometimes landed in debt. This has made me feel more at ease and comfortable when dealing with money, learning to divide it into the 4 steps makes it less scary, more tangible and gives me more control over my life instead of going at it blindly.

My grandmother and grandfather raised me. My memory of 💰 Money, my 2 sisters and I split $150 A month to buy clothing for our selves. My grandmother told us, we couldn’t get anything extra because she didn’t have it. She stressed Poverty. She told me I had to Work when I was 14. Therefore, my teen years were a complete nightmare. So I’m working at 14, up until today, I’m changing the way I THINK about Money. I do not believe in the system that I was unfortunately brought up in. I felt robbed. For this negative mindset as a child, this carried on in my 20s and 30s. I am well aware it’s due to the fact that I grew up in a poverty mindset house hold. This will Stop TODAY.

This is interesting. How does the advice work for people in their 60s or beyond who have long struggled with money, have debt, haven't saved adequately (or at all) for retirement and are scared and regretful? Is this exercise more for people in their 20s to 50s?

As it's been a life time goal that I've thus far been thwarted from achieving by allowing large obstacles to knock me off my path. I've been a healer & LMT for the past 13 years & I know I can do more. But I struggle to set these very kinds of goals for myself. As my past traumas and learned behaviors and life hardships have allowed me to become unmotivated. Well, I'm tired of listening to the *naysayers* that *currently* reside in my head. Working on those evictions hardcore this year and facing some hard truths, hard challenges but with amazing resources like TH-cam, podcasts and people like you, it's the exposure people like me need to move in more personal cheerleaders. I want to be more like you soon in my journey to also help people figure out and manifest their best!

Most people don't understand the power of compound interest or are just impatient. However, I think it's better for the average person to invest in the S&P 500 and wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long: many years, or just hire an investment advisor and accelerate wealth accumulation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

    Just saluting you Mel!
I've watched countless episodes of you, and am convinced that we connect psychologically.
What I love, particularly, is your determination to extract from your interviewee, or your prevailing message from a solo podcast is: what can a person do NOW & HENCEFORTH!
Very often persons get caught in the loop of SHOULDA, WOULDA, COULDA, and become overwhemed with inertia then subsequently paralysed.
Keep on being that Lighthouse and Beacon of Hope, continually providing alternative, empowering perspectives to those who have the courage to recognize that adopting a mindset-shift is the ONLY way to progress meaningfully.
    Keep up the great work!

Yeah Mel’s guest was respectful about how he presented his information to a broad audience. I feel Mel is disrespecting me by using a crass and vulgar epithet- and it takes me out of the “moment” with her. She should have a bit more self control and respect for her audience (which include children and sensitive souls such as myself).

The dessert thing from Mel was super cool. I love dessert and my mom always had several different kinds of ice cream in the freezer. I’m going to start doing that one. Especially when we’re out with family or friends ❤

I have read SO many interesting finance books in the past year....at least 10+ geared for Canadians. Most of what he's mentioning, I already knew and have done!

Hey Mel my name is Jon I’m a lot like you the same thing happened to me. Last year I fell in love with a woman that taught me this psychology. It didn’t work out and when she left I lost my security. I’ve spent 10months working everyday from when I woke up until I went to sleep to start a business because I knew I needed a business to be around other people like me. After all the hard work and months of fighting I have created something. I’m going to see someone today to see if they will help me.
I’m a big fan Mel and if anyone hasn’t told you lately your a total babe. 😜
Always great to hear your content,
    Keep it up.
    Best regards,
    -Jon

This is law of attraction and visualization. I have a whole notebook where i write all of the things i want with no limit - mansions, travelling the world, cars, businesses, relationship, everything. It feels great to let yourself dream big. I realized how small i was thinking

I find her cursing unnecessary-not very attractive on a successful woman.
