I love the way you two interact with each other. My wife and I have been married for 43 years and we are pretty much the same. Very much in love, very much still friends, and still very much each our own individual persons. You are latching on to your dreams and making them a reality. Kudos!
Un abrazo y mi admiración por su perseverancia a los dos.
Está quedando muy bién.
Saludos pareja, desde isla de Margarita, Venezuela
Do you plan to do a plank floor? It changed the whole look of the boat. You did a great job installing the floor. Marina, you did a fantastic job on cutting out those spaces for the storage lockers. I loved the little keys. As always, I enjoy the progress you accomplish. Bravo. Katie
Not sure on the floor covering yet. We'll find a product we like.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Thanks!
Thank you so much.
We're very grateful for your donation.
Cheers for watching 🙂
All hands stand easy ,the werthers locker is ready lol .great work guys keep at it make seabird great again 😉😊
Shit hot guys, Great job the both of you 👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌. Hey bin man,,,,, I think it’s about time we all did a bin run on camera again 🤗🤗 I love it when you bring shit home. I look at it on screen and say to myself what is he going to do with that crap 🤣🤣🤣 it’s all good stuff 👍👍👍👍👍👍. You guys are the best 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Stoked
Thank you.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Stu you have a treasure in Marina, I'm waiting for the next video
I do most days.
Cheers for watching 🙂
thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Our pleasure!
Glad you enjoy.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Getting there big time and maybe some dingy fun soon for a break on the water?
Here's hoping.
Cheers for watching 🙂
We are proud of you too 😂😊 Xx m & t
I love gloves, and I love boxes... now that could be taken the wrong way! 😅
Thanks for another episode its great to see you both seem to be enjoying getting jobs done a bit. The both of you work so hard on the boat and its showing the results now. Great work, can't wait to see more developments!❤
Wind is beter than mosquitos, I think. Also keeps you cool. And cool you are!
If you put your storage boxes the other way around when it’s raining or in a heavy sea you will have less water ingress. 😀👍🇪🇸
Hurry up back to the insulation and wood slates in that berth…
Thought you were going to do that weeks/months? ago…😁
I hate now having to wait a week between episodes now that I’m all caught up…lol
We'll be back on that very soon.
Thank you for reminding us.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Stu, if she leaves you I'll take you. Yeah I'm a little old but I'll still take ya
Thank you for your kind offer.
I'll keep you updated if there is any change in the situation. 😊
Cheers for watching 🙂
Hi Marina (and Stu). Make sure you have a good amount of solvent (MEK) to soften the glue on the previous repairs. It looks like there are various glues been used, hopefully this will soften all of them. Then use a paint scraper to scrape off the softened glue. The fabric is quite tough and can take it.
I would then perform a leak test with water and fairy liquid. to try and pinpoint the leak. I am a bit concerned that it is leaking at the same point on both sides. Hopefully the leak is at an exposed area of the tube. However, I have seen leaks underneath where the floor is glued to the tube. That kind of leak can be fixed, but you will need to peel the floor off the tube.
Fixing inflatables is quite easy, as long as you are logical and organised.
Good luck.
Super work, both of you! Marina's getting very handy with the multitool, and that floor's looking good already. It's a pity it'll be too difficult/expensive to use the old floorboards, but c'est la vie!
We agree!
Slowly everyone is improving. Yay.
The floor...
We'll figure something out.
Hope you've been keeping well.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Loved the video! :D
So glad!
Cheers for watching 🙂
Marina’s flip-flops are back ! 🤩😋😍😅. It’s finally summer ! 😅⛱️
The seasons are definitely changing.
Need to get out the summer clothes.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Your videos are an absolute joy to watch, thankyou
Glad you like them!
Thank you.
Tbh it's just the two of us having fun fixing this boat.
Cheers for watching 🙂
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

🥰
Thanks.

Quick and cheap solution for a floor is cork under flooring, you can go to a floor shop and buy it really cheap on a roll, just glue it down and give it a clear coat, preferably polyurethane, nice to walk and stand on, and will last forever, or at least til you can afford what you want.
15mm on the sole will be fine. As time and funds allow you can lay a nice veneer over it. Gotta love that multi tool. I just discovered some rot in part of the transom on my little plywood TS. It's worth its weight in gold, we never had them years ago. Love your keyed glovebox, now to build a key cabinet, or more lost keys lol. Love your work.
Good call!
Not sure on the finish but we are a way off from that.
Maybe cork...
Cheers for watching 🙂
Yaaay! Pump being used! Figured it'd come in handy, since I have no dinghy anymore and won't need one in the future either :) Nice work on the floor too, by the way!
💐🙌🏾
⛵️🐌🏴☠️🍻
Damn stu’s onto us Marina, he figured out you been visiting me 😂😂😂
I cannot believe that Stu throwed anything away
The time has to come.
Some old stuff just needs to go.
Cheers for watching 🙂
You're doin' great keep going guys amazing ... I did 20 yrs sailing racing etc. remember the end goal is worth IT!!!
We agree!
We miss sailing ⛵️
Cheers for watching 🙂
Now you can rename your dingy 'Poussin de mer' as she trails along behind 'Seabird'... You can always go with 'Oak 1.27mm x 36 in. L x 6 in. Water Resistant Wood Look Peel and Stick Vinyl Flooring Tiles( 54 sq.ft./case)' for a water and wear resistant floor finish that can go on over a coat of epoxy. It's surprising how realistic the stuff is these days...😁
Careful what you shove in that box cobber.
Do you think sweets would get stolen or something like that??
Cheers for watching 🙂
“No one’s taking my Werther’s Originals.” 😂
Marina is definitely a keeper, she is always willing to learn how to do things & does them great 👍🤪👏
Totally!
She's cool.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Nice progress guys. Another big step closer to sailing away.
That's it.
Step by step . . .
Cheers for watching 🙂
Nice as always and really cool to see how much progress you made in the last weeks. You are amazing 🎉😊
Awesome! Stairs are back! (Love your new boxes.) 😎❤️🥰😎❤️🥰❤️❤️❤️
Hiya,
Trust you're well.
We are happy to get Rod of that ladder. Still a huge amount to get done but we are one step closer.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Hi Stu. Jesus, it's great to see the floors finally down. At least you can move a lot easier. Nice job cutting out those holes. She is getting very good at everything she does, lol 😆 😆. Great video, guys. Until next week. 👏👏🥰👌🇮🇪
Well at long last a floor is down you must be so relieved both of you , I do hope you can find away to posh up the floor if the other is to far gone as your making such a superb job of everything and the floor is a big impact first impression when you board the boat 😊
Totally!
We get the wood coated with something to protect it.
We are searching for coverings.
Maybe cork.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Absolutely flying on the boat. With your weather improving you may also get the hull underway and finish it off over the summer and autumn. Splash next year. 🍻😎⛵️💦🤞
Here's hoping.
That's the basic plan.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Need to make sure you screw the box well or there will be trouble😂
It's a shame we can't get a nut and bolt on it.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Well done both of you the glove boxes looking good and nice to a floor 😊😊😊
Thank you! 😊
Glad you enjoy our videos.
Cheers for watching 🙂
The light at the end of the tunnel is getting quite dazzling now. Go well. ❤❤
It's a tiny light, like a dim candle...
But it's a light!
Cheers for watching 🙂
@@SailingSeabird a boat is never finished but the point whereb you can go sailing and work at anchor is fast approaching.
That's a nice week adventure !
She gonna take over your job as head cutter She is getting great at it. Look out for her she might get a job that pays
Hopefully!
Then once less thing gor me to do.
Cheers for watching 🙂
great milestone - floor is down and the solar arch is looking pretty smick!
King Stewart sit on his throne, at the end of the video, ha ha ha ha
Stairs.
So happy to have stairs.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Finally starting to come together. Good job 👍👍👍👍👍😄😄😄😄
Thank you.
Step by step.
2 forward, 1 back but we're moving forward.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Hi, when cutting plywood always score the cut line with a stanley knife or similar, before cutting, then cut on the waste side of the line and you will get a cleaner cut on the piece you want to use.
Hello to you both. Another interesting week and you each had your own project. Marina, did you caulk the glovebox openings? They will probably leak as rain and water splashes. Stu, your floor is looking great. I'm sure you will be glad to get it all down. Ok, looking forward to next Friday. Take good care. Ciao. geo
Thank you.
We haven't sealed anything yet, still got loads to do before then.
Plus, we might have to move the arch to get the engine in.
But at some point, everything will be sealed.
Cheers for watching 🙂
@@SailingSeabird Hello, I must apologize for being so "nosey" and commenting on your work. I am sitting home and doing nothing and just thinking about every little thing you guys do. I will stop that and just watch your videos.
Ok, take good care and keep up the good work. Later, geo
Love you guys. Great videos... Please don't ever become you tube content creator gods. Where to get the blue whale logo shirt?
We feel you so verry happy and proud to have reached to goal !! A certain Last an straight line that you Will reach ! Its so good ! Well done !! Bravo !! Attention to the type of glue for this annex ! Its not simple ! Congratulations !! The best is yet to come ! Good season and good week-end for you two !😜
Thank you for the kind message.
It's starting to look like an interior.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Nice to have a floor. Keep up the good work.
Stuart. Your boat anatomy is coming along great BUT..... in this case it's a SOLE not a FLOOR. Floor's are the bit's that the Sole sits on.
Great job though. It's coming along nicely 😀😀😀
Both are Marvelous....Look for yourself...Love ya's..
Thank you for the nice comment.
Cheers for watching 🙂
i like those glove box's, might have to pinch that idea for my little 30 footer...
The seem OK. We'll see...

Ear protection guys!
Your doing great
Thanks.
We are just giving it a go.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Coming on well
Step by step.
Things are starting to fall into place.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Love the boat, love the progress. Love you both.
Thanks so much!
Cheers for watching 🙂
She starts coming back together! 🤗
Slowly.
We are still a long way off.
Cheers for watching 🙂
@@SailingSeabird It's the moment that matters. The end of disassembly, having the hull structure sorted, being in a position to start looking beyond these jobs. Here in Germany, the moment of a house build is celebrated with the "Richtfest", when the bricklaying is done and the roof frame gets in place. You just had your Richtfest. 🙃
The floor looks good 👍🏻
Keep on the good work 💪🏻
Thanks! Will do!
Cheers for watching 🙂
nice, real progress being made, well done.
Thanks!
Still have to paint the bilge and tie up loose ends.
Plus the aft cabin to do.
But, slowly it comes together.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Awesome. I've been looking forward to see a floor.
You and me both!
Cheers for watching 🙂
@@SailingSeabird Were can I get the Boxes you install in your cockpit? Love your show.👍
Absolutely lovely dinghy repair Marina, you certainly are getting the jobs checked off prior to this epic splash! Cabin floor looks marvelous, simply marvelous. She's really going to be a seaworthy vessel.
Yay!! So excited to see the progress. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Will do!
Cheers for watching 🙂
Always good to see you!!
We appreciate that!
Cheers for watching 🙂
WONDERFUL VLOG! AGAIN!!!!!
Thanks again!
We are glad you enjoy our videos.
Cheers for watching 🙂
looking good 😎💚💙👍👍👏👏👏👏🍺🍺🍻🍻
Thanks 👍
Slowly it's coming together.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Looking fantastic. Thanks for a great vlog
So nice of you.
Cheers for watching 🙂
7⭐ Well done Guys. Perfect 👌
Thank you.
Little steps forward.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Measure your cuts, tape your cut line on both sides of the cut.Mark your cut line on the tape, when you make your cuts there will be no tear outs on your finished plywood. Love the videos.
Thanks for the tip.
Tbh, I just started using the tape trick.
Cheers for watching 🙂
@@SailingSeabird you are welcome
Awesome you two.
Rory
Thanks 👍
We are glad you enjoyed it.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Yeah, you found your feet, on the floor anyway, excellent. Also, great hole cutting Marina, you're a keeper lol. Now things will really move at a pace now most of your floor is in, however, the tagging will frustrate the shit out of you. It looks like you're both in a much happier place at the moment I'm pleased for you both, keep up the great work guys. xx
Damn, forgot it's Friday, now we're back. Sail on M n S!!! If I remember rightly an instant remedy for the dinghy's patches , is crossed fingers!
10:41 locks are made for honest people.
Very true!
Cheers for watching 🙂
Doing a really good job👍
Thank you.
We are just giving it a go.
Cheers for watching 🙂
⛵️ ⛵️ ⛵️ Phil...
Hiya Phil.
Hope you had a good week.
Thanks for the comments.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Love the music, good choice.
Thank you.
Glad you liked it.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Very nice glove boxes 🤣🤣
Thank you 🤗
They should do the job.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Oi oi from Thailand Seabirds! Crack on innit!
Hello there!
How have you been?
Slowly all the pieces are coming together.
Cheers for watching 🙂
I've had tremendous success polishing with a headlight restoration kit and 3m buffing compound. It's cheap, and the sponge head conforms to radiused surfaces . I've also used a polish called flitz, and it brings out a mirror polish. A friend with a motorcycle gave me some to try.
When cutting holes such as for those glove boxes round the corners
Why is it better.
Interested to know.
Cheers for watching 🙂
@@SailingSeabird because it distributes the stresses around the opening better. A square corner concentrates the stress at the apex which can lead to cracking. That is why all the portlights are rounded
Floor is down! Excellent!
Not totally.
It will need to be lifted more than once.
We still have to paint the bilge, etc etc but, it's coming along.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Nice
Thanks!
Cheers for watching 🙂
Thanks for good entertaining!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cheers for watching 🙂
❤
Lots of rugs
That's the plan.
But hopefully, we get t looking pretty.
Cheers for watching 🙂
It's all looking great ! So excited to see the flooring going down. 🤗💖👍⛵🐬🏝️
A floor means no more bilge dancing Marina 😂 Keep up the good work....all coming together ❤❤❤
Yes! Thank you!
We can do normal dancing but soon there will be a table.
Dance on the table.
Cheers for watching ❤️
Great episode!
We are glad you enjoy our videos.
Cheers for watching 🙂
No use of glue/Sika when mounting the «glove-box»?@@SailingSeabird
great
Thank you.
Cheers for watching 🙂
LOL. Not a lot of point in having a key when the screw heads are exposed. 60 seconds with a screwdriver and anyone could steal the whole box! Love the channel.
We don't get the whole key thing.
What's someone going to take?
My sweets??
Cheers for watching 🙂
I know, my point is that the amount of screws is way too little. At least 6 extra are needed. And the polyester will offer too little grip, so put wood, teak, oak, mahogany, at the back.
What about a vinyl floor?
Thinking about the different options but, we are a while away from that.
Cheers for watching 🙂
You both are doing an amazing job on your boat. As part of the repairs will you purchase a refrigerator/freezer or will you custom build one? There are a number of companies that can provide new efficient low energy equipment you just build the cabinet. Oh, one suggestion, have a top door and a front/side door. Easier to get items from the bottom. Good Luck
We have a fridge, one of our first purchases.
And we were given another top loader that we might make into a freezer.
All 12v compressor type units.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Sorry, not enough screwholes in the 'glovebox' edge. That's gonna leak. And please put some wood at the backside of the polyester, this wil provide more grip.
The "glove boxes" aren't sealed yet. Once sealed they shouldn't leak.
Cheers for watching 🙂
@@SailingSeabird for good sealing you need at least 6 more screws. 4 screws (in such a large glovebox) is too little, and the sealing will gonna leak in half a year, especially when there is a lot of sunshine.
And please put some wood at the backside of the polyester, this wil provide more grip for the screws. Otherwise the screws will come loose after a couple of years.
Wind any day!
Welcome to our world.
Wind or mozzies.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Did you calk in the glove box???
No! They need to come out very soon.
We know it all needs to be sealed, but not yet.
We have the engine still to go in...
Cheers for watching 🙂
The stairs look not centered. Is that the correct position?
Its correct if you look the door hatches are offset from the boats center line.
Not centred, off by about 3 inches.
Gives a tiny bit more space in tha galley.
Plus it's how it was.
Great observation.
Cheers for watching 🙂
