  • Social media, in general, is making a lot of people in our generation feel like there is something wrong with their life.
The same is happening with all these beautiful travel photos you see online and that's exactly what I would like to talk about in this video.
Because I have been fortunate to have lived "that life" and can tell you that all of that making you happy, is far from the truth.

I always tell myself, they'll never blogg about their irritated digestion and diarrhea from bad quality water and spicy food 😂

Traveling should be use to refresh, not to find happiness. And vacationing now and days can be very costly.

The more I travel the more I appreciate home. There is no place like it. I hate travelling. At the age of 5 went by road to Pakistan from the UK. Nightmare.

first fix your life and your mental state then you fully can enjoy vacation

I hate travel because i just like my routine of my simple life. Work, gym, enjoy my days off. Travelling i just dont feel impressed for that long when i see a view

Travelling is super stressful. Just thinking about it makes me depressed.

It's the same with reading books. If you do likenot reading books, everyone will despise you.

Dear Aliena, wise words for a 19 year old girl! Looks like you've found your passion and your balance for now which is exceptional at your age, which is younger than my youngest kid.

I don't enjoy traveling. I am a frugal person who cannot tolerate crowds and is fearful of both flying & cruises. I prefer to walk, to wander. I'm a homebody who loves his blankets and his slippers and his bathrobe. The problem is...I am also a widower. My wife passed away about a year ago, and she was really my only friend. I have been trying to re-set my life, make new friends, but I have experienced antipathy and rejection from people because 1) I don't travel and 2) I don't drink alcohol. As if those two aversions preclude me from friendships or even love. I do not jest. I've had people say to me, "You've got to be kidding," "Good luck with that", "Your life is doomed to suck, congratulations" I mean, these are REAL comments from people with whom I've attempted socialization who want NOTHING to do with me because it's just UNFATHOMABLE I don't want to "see the world." I am asking for your help, your advice. I value your perspective. Thank you for reading.

To appreciate travel you must first know struggle. Travel is a hiatus from our normal reality when we can see a part of the wider world of wonder. We can then fight to retain the best of our home town, and country as we can appreciate what we have.

I find myself asking “why” do we travel.

As an introverted homebody, I always struggled so much with the "Experiences and NOT THINGS" mantra. Because the experiences I was told would make me soo much happier than "stuff" were usually travel and/or involved some crowded places. I don't even really like eating out. The food is good, but I'd enjoy it more on my friend's porch with 3 or 4 people I love than in a crowded restaurant. So the experiences I like tend to be low-key and low cost if not free. Favorite childhood memory: going to the woods with my mother to find wildlife.

I have no interest in traveling and never do, and when I tell this to people some react like I've told them something shocking. You'll probably get more sympathy if you tell people you have HIV or have done prison time for m;rder. Lol.

  • @1KingCharlesSpaniel

A lot of good points, when you travel you take yourself and all your problems with you.

  • @tim_despair

No one around me understand my point that there are a few reasons why travelling is bad for you:

The only true happiness is inner peace in a personal relationship with God.

thank you so much for sharing! that's exactly what I've been thinking of for a while now. for the past five years I felt like sharing all that travel stuff... but the behind the scenes... ufff... and it actually was always an escaping of reality .... sometimes I learned my lessons as well, so growth still happened, but I didn't enjoy it. last week I visited my sis in TFS but I rly didn't want to and just saw it as a big challenge instead of enjoying the trip. only a few beautiful moments in nature. the place I'll always feel more safe.
