found your channel while planning my trip to Singapore last week and it really didn't disappoint! so many vloggers, especially westerns (no offense) just don't know asian tradition/culture as well as asians or are just biased and recommend stuff that end up being tourist traps but after watching your videos, I feel like I've found a new tourist guide for my upcoming journeys as many of the places I wanna go, you've been to already! I grew up in Shanghai too!!! I am Korean but I lived in Korea the least so they treat me like an outsider there. I was always a foreigner in China despite spending most of my childhood there (all the visa runs lol). I've been in US the longest but I'm not American, either. I really relate to what you said about feeling like you don't belong anywhere. I used to say that I'm a citizen of the world. These days I feel more like a zombie. Omg the sitting in a dark room editing other people's exciting lives - feltttt😩 I've been grinding away as a freelancer in NYC for years and I feel soul death looming. I'm sure a lot of people would love to be in my position, and this city will always have a special place in my heart (just like Shanghai), but the rat race has been detrimental for my spirit. Lately all I do is daydream about taking off and seeing the world. The algorithm do be crazy, cus man... this gives me hope. Thank you for sharing your leap of faith.
