Please do an in depth guide for newbies. I’ve tried so many videos and none of them are up to par for a newbie like me. You’re the best I’ve found and would love a in-depth guide for newbies. Going over everything including the weak-auras etc.
for me the worst part in guides is that i dont know what skills i should have on bars lol in rotation u use like 6 spells but u can see like 20 spells on action bar
@@aquino2789 I think it's hard keeping track of procs too with my weakaura. My DPS is also severely lacking compared to other DKS with similar gear.. I have a macro opener and spend my runic power on frost strike, rime on howling blast, obliterate on killing machines procs, always have remorseless up, use reapers mark on cd etc but i seem to do so little dmg

i like the calm way of explaining things and you got an ability tracker (finally someone understands for a guide..) but you just run in and press your buttons. as someone who has never touched frost i have no idea what a pillar window is, why press obliterate or howling blast or frost strike, you explain none of the basics i feel like

Breath feels pretty bad in pug groups and I’ve had better luck with Shattering, but everyone says you need to tab-target? Is there an alternative with DB or Rider that doesn’t play Shatter or Breath? Perhaps for low to medium keys I could just play Rider with GA and the talent that does bouncing hits? If I’m playing DB I tend to prefer running Horn over FWF. At a certain ilvl it feels like it falls off without playing improved.
Fantastic guide, clearly explained and you’re not running around jumping and strafing in combat. How do you get your 5 stack razor ice to glow? I’m assuming this is in Plater?
Could you explain how to setup the macros? I’m new to WoW and your guide has been super helpful. Still learning with so much info but never used macros
Great guide. Be great if there are some niche tips that min/max u could speak about. Showing the rotation in real time is tough like u said, maybe record yourself doing the rotation guide and then play the recording in your guide so you can slow it down while u explain.
One min max tip is when you have 5 stacks of your razorice spread around and you are talented into shattering blade tab target between the enemies and frost strike the enemies to get more cleave. 3600 io exp player :)
You're probably never going to see this but I see some add-ons showing all the abilities you already used what atoms are you using can you make a video showing us how you set everything up

I wish we could just be free from Breath of Sindragosa, it's just handicapping the spec so much for it to change or get back to the original playstyle, It's absolutely not what made Frost enjoying back then, it was the big and rewarding procs and now you even ignore those procs because pressing other stuff is better :(
Yeah I agree I don't understand what their obsession is with keeping this annoying playstyle. I've never met someone who has said they enjoy breath over obliteration spec. Just scrap it and give us something else, or just scrap it entirely, no one would shed a tear

The core spells are stock blizzard bars I setup. The import code is here if you want to see how to do it. Take Fallen Crusader on 2H. The talents don't differ a ton, simply drop Shatting Blade/Shattered Frost for talents that fit the content. Usually something like Cryogenic Chamber, Chill Streak, or Absolution Zero.

I've been out since Shadowlands, thinking of returning, I was wondering how much worse is 2h than DW? Are we talking about less than 5% or are we talking about 15% or more? 2h in the past was one of if not my favorite melee spec in the game. But 2h frost has been more or less a shell of DW nearly every Xpac.
You miss out on GCDs that could be cleaved Obliterates. If you do not have The Long Winter then you can drop DnD before, since DnD will last 14 seconds and Pillar lasts 12. However, The Long Winter returns us to what we had in DF with Pillar lasting longer than DnD so we use DnD inside the Pillar buff.
Do you have a 2H build if your unlucky with getting a weapon? I only got 2hand weapons from m+ chests so far. I switched out Shattered talents with Absolute zero and Cryo.
when adding ur plater script to glow at 5 stacks of razorice. I add it but nothing shows any tips? It even show that i have added it. Would love that script to razorice to glow on my plater nameplates like that.
If its loaded and not showing you might need to reload your game. The only way for it to not show is if the script is off or you don't have shattering blade talented.
Why do you use Mark before Pillar? Does Mark not benefit from the strength bonus from pillar? Is it just because you want to fit as many Oblits into pillar window as possible so casting mark after pillar is a waste of a GCD?
Reapers mark also fires off a double hit uncapped frontal that scales off ap tho. That's what I don't understand, why wouldn't you just use it with pillar, at least in aoe? Granted you have to use emp rune weapon on the next gcd, but id almost say just use that first
Turns out, you do want to use reaper's mark with pillar in aoe. It took a few hours of apl debugging but it is a solid gain. The double hit frontal is quite strong when buffed by pillar. But, you need to be careful that you aren't starving yourself of runes to do so. Good eye and thanks for bringing that up!
@@Khazakdk glad i could help! another question, is it worth trying to purposefully mark a low hp target to have it die fast to get a second free mark on a pack? it has a 3 min cd on this interaction, but this just seems like a hidden 3 min cd we have the downside is that the first mark wont explode for as much, and by the time you get the second one to explode, everything might be dead

Since death and decay gives a 5% haste buff (if you’ve talented into this) do you think it’s always worth using death and decay on cooldown, or is it better to keep one to use before you get into your Pillar window?
All the sims are saying dual wield frost out performs 2 hander in raid as well as in m+ and your auto attacks procing icy death torrent is a big part of your dmg which is why the auto attack speed of dual wield is superior . +@@alikhairuldeen8312
Not really. Pillar is off gcd, mark isn't so you can't macro pillar after mark, and you want to macro pillar before a km builder/spender to not waste any procs/time.
@@Johnnybgood8 the upfront hit from mark hits hard enough that it’s not the worst thing to macro them. But, ideally you use it before Pillar. Especially in aoe.

@@99PierogiesI think that the procs inside pillar must be maximized in order to get the most dmg out of the class. There is nothing more efficient than spending procs in pillar so you don’t want to interfere with that and miss one proc.Although he did mention dropping Frost Worm in certain conditions is worth it.
Because if you use pillar before deathbringer, it won't take full advantage of the deathbringer proc. It takes a few seconds to activate. So DB first then use pillar after your opener.
Like I said in the video, video content is tricky because it can quickly be outdated. The latest info is you should use deathbringer before pillar with Breath of Sindragosa, otherwise use deathbringer with pillar so pillar buffs the first hit

Frost felt so foreign at first, but it really starts to make sense after using it for a couple weeks. The debuffs seem key to unlocking it's potential

I am not sure. I personally feels that the frost fever never falls-off and I basically don't use blast during pillar window. But I don't know why.

Nerfs are less than 5% overall, so we will be fine
