Frost DK feels so good now. I always hated having to play around the Breath, making sure to be capped on resources before popping it, manage them so that it last as long as possible and having to wait for the cd. Now you just go in and Obliterate everything.
Been playing with Glacial Advance talented in, and in regards to Icy Talon stacks I've noticed after killing a pack and having excess Runic Power still you can actually just send a stray Glacial Advance at nothing and "maintain" your Icy Talon stacks that way if the distance between packs is too far.
Gonna get a good addon to keep track of razorice stacks, D&D timer and pillar timer. DW oblithetare is so much fun. Thanks for the guide. Cant wait to the m+ videos
Even doing the rotation properly, I feel like I’m often teetering the edge of having no resources, or sometimes having no runes when I have bad RNG. Everything else feels great, but the resource strain is tough sometimes
Ik this comment is a week old, and I'm currently leveling so this may not be useful for level 80, but to help speed up the opener I'm using this macro --- (used after the spells before in the opener ofc) and it really helped with resources. If anything it's hard not to overcap sometimes, obviously it slows down during the main rotation but yeah, maybe this could help :) #showtooltip Pillar of Frost /cast Pillar of Frost /castsequence reset=5 Empower Rune Weapon,null /cast Raise Dead /cast Howling Blast

my little suggestion on next guide that the way naguura presents can be as a reference. She provides deep dive of all M+ scenario. if single target, then which rotation is top priority if multiple target, then if 2-3, ur rotation is if 4-5 your rotation is if nore than 5, then your rotation is. also suppress using blah blah blah even it pops ok, then repeat the above but this time, your using CD, and during this window, what u should do due to this, i get my first 3000 as a balance druid back in shadowland. that was a great mindset even when i apply to other char. i will explore the above way to max my dmg and efficiency in m+

Would love to know/learn the reasons in more detail into why you want to skip spells while inside Pillar window , just to make things a little more clear . Great video as always , thought i knew about my fdk , clearly i am still a noob .
Because spending a gcd on an ability that doesn’t spend or build a killing machine proc is a waste inside pillar. In your pillar window you want to build/spend as many KM procs as possible.

Been playing Frost dk for about a week now definitely one of my new favorite specs. Are there any weak auras I should have to be tracking anything? I only ask cause Warrior uses one for bloodthirst and it helps out a lot. So, I'm asking to see if there are any weak auras that would make the rotation easier to do. About the breath rotation. On other resources I saw, the advice was only to press the Rime procs above a RP threshold, else keep spamming oblits. In the video you mention pressing it when its up. Do you stand by this?

Is there a difference between these play styles or no? Also, if you say that Soul Reaper execute isn't necessary, then what alternatives can be used? All the WoWHead talent builds you made have soul reaper

WOW didn't know remorseless winter is now to be used outside of pillar, i was still using it with pillar, then naked when pillar was down. Since im thinking about switching to dual weild, is it frost strike, switch target and then frost strike again, since it seems i have razor ice running on multiple targets in packs?
True, that’s why I like the rider hero talents. Once you fire away wyrms fury you have 20-25sec of a free, mobile DnD and sometimes outside of that randomly.
i don't see on my tooltips or in practice where obliterate procs killing machine when pillar of frost is active. was this removed in the last 13 days or something??
From someone who doesnt understand these things fully - does it matter that Frost is a lot higher on the DPS lists than Unholy? I really like unholy but is it better to be Frost?

hey great guide thank you. Little confused by one part. For ST, do you want to use Frost Strike at 5 stacks OVER a normal Obliterate without Killing Machine? Or do you want to use normal Obliterate and use those runes.

@@TrevorSimko MAXDPS with Death Knight addon is the best I've seen so far. Gives you a green circle around the spell when you need to cast.

Dw is better in both atm. You can go 2h if you're playing riders

I'm enjoying FDK. Hit lv80 on the first day. However, the drop to 6% haste is jarring as hell lol. Runes recover soooooo slowly.

No big diff in play style, 2H is a few % behind

99.9% of the time it doesn't matter. Unless you're one of the top top players those rankings mean nothing. Play what you enjoy.

Dual wield is best. You can run same talents or swap shattering bland and shattering frost for cryogenic and glacial advance
About frostwyrm CD, shouldn't hold it for end of Pillar of Frost anymore, because higher str? Can I just use it at start of Pillar of Frost?
End of pillar in AoE makes sense since your DnD runs out at that point
