@@whiteglint8714 from what i understand Ea works on the principle of truth that the world they live in is actually gaia's reality marble and the red light it gives off is actually light from the real world. the fate lore can get a little convoluted some times but from what i understand it doesn't warp reality so much as force the truth into the reality marble and with everything as we know it being a part of it its powers seem to work that way but in actual reality it doesn't have that power. there is no question it would wreck UBW but its actual ability is slightly different.

Izayoi's Another Cosmology(Aurora Pillar) works like this: He creates a light constructed in the shape of a small Pillar, this small pillar then enlarges to the point of reaching skyward, after that, he swungs it down at his opponent. If I remember correctly, it's said during his fight against Azi that his Aurora Pillar was able to penetrate the sky in Little Garden and that it had enough power to destroy the stars(I can believe Izayoi being able to destroy a star with it since we as fans of the Light Novel already know that the author estabilshed this level of power to tier characters, now multiple stars? That I don't believe.....for now since we don't know how strong Izayoi is in Last Embryo lol). Lets not forget, he was using Rins mana to cast this. That means that she has enough mana to create a reality marble (iirc in the VN she said it could only last 5 minutes but still). The type of magic that was Archer's (Emiya) as well as Rider's (Iskandar) Noble Phantasm. I feel it is vastly undershown just how op she is.
Tbf the more impressive feat of sustaining a reality marble is still archer. Without a master he had to rely on his personal ability to generate mana. Summoning the marble twice in a couple of days, fighting saber, bullying shirou, surviving gil, saving rin and steal the kill from shirou.

A more notable believable possibility is that Shirou might be a descendant of Muramasa. Even for me, I can't find ways to why Avalon, the scabbard have to developed of all things a sword as the boy's newfound origin and element. Sure the scabbard is used for sheathing swords. But that's it, it's just a piece of something that to hold weapons. If anything, sword shouldn't be the main component to changes someone's Origin and Element. In fact, a believable process would be something define as like *absolute* *defense* as it this scabbard primary function. This should be the thing as Shirou's origin and element. But oh well, Nasu do likes swords more than shields.

I love it when they explain how Shirou can possibly beat a Heroic Spirit. If it was any other Hero who had mastered a single weapon, Shirou would stand no chance, but he can match weapon for weapon with Gil.

In his mind, the moment he uses Ea, he respects Shirou, and he can't do that. He loses because his character flaw limits Ea, and Gate of Babylon is hard countered by Unlimited Blade Works.

The moment that Shirou implied that he had surpassed Gilg in ANY way was the moment that Gilg HAD to put Shirou down with a battle between UBW and GOB. This is also why he hesitates to draw EA, because he realizes that simply by reaching for it he has already acknowledged that Shirou's UBW does surpass his GOB.

And apart from being cut up during the fight itself, he was right, he was about to win anyway, Rin's mana given to Shirou wasn't enough to actually bring him down and after the Grail tried to take him, he was coming out, or at least bring Shirou with him. Effectively, Gilgamesh is defeated only because Archer remained around - showing off his Indipendent Action skill - and sniped him, which anyway possible exactly because Gilgamesh was eaten/consumed by the Grail. To Gilgamesh it was personal, and he paid the price.

Yeah it was done perfectly, even the music is fitting. I don't like how Deen's version had Shirou immediately grab a sword and run in. This particular shot of Shirou standing there just makes him a lot calmer, like it really is his own world.
oh god,the ubw movie...its a shame really :/ i feel as if it had the potential to become a unpolished masterpiece(in my senses) like 06,but instead it became something that isnt even deserving of a remake to polish it to be entirely honest
I also don't like how Gilgamesh go rushed after him as well to trade in a stupid swordsfight. If he personally attacked Shirou like that, then doesn't that mean he is taking him seriously? It ruined the reason why Gilgamesh lost to Shirou.
There's quite a few of those "signature shots" to be fair, in particular the one where Saber is summoned and Shirou looks up at her with disbelief is one of the most famous ones I'd say.

**Spoilers below** I was so amazed to see that the Rho Aias that was casted on shirou while he was chanting the ubw marble was actually casted by archer, and was so precisely timed that it won't give gilgamesh any hint that archer was still there. It was such a great hint given to all that I think it skipped most people's mind that shirou just cannot cast a rho aias at the same time as creating reality marble, that too one with 5 petals.

He has many ways to kill shirou if he wanted to... Plot armor is too strong. Fan boys would just say its not, its just gil is arrogant bullshit, ot ubw is direct counter. Counter my ass. Gil has too many np to choose from just to kill shirou. He could have used nukes, used space distortion weapons, suits up his golden armor. etc... None of his A+ rank np are shown. A more notable believable possibility is that Shirou might be a descendant of Muramasa.
Even for me, I can't find ways to why Avalon, the scabbard have to developed of all things a sword as the boy's newfound origin and element.
Sure the scabbard is used for sheathing swords.
But that's it, it's just a piece of something that to hold weapons.
If anything, sword shouldn't be the main component to changes someone's Origin and Element.
In fact, a believable process would be something define as like *absolute* *defense* as it this scabbard primary function.
This should be the thing as Shirou's origin and element.
But oh well, Nasu do likes swords more than shields.

I love it when they explain how Shirou can possibly beat a Heroic Spirit. If it was any other Hero who had mastered a single weapon, Shirou would stand no chance, but he can match weapon for weapon with Gil.

@@dinothunder629 It's not plot armor. Gil is too proud to use Ea on a "fake". He prides himself in being the original hero. In his mind, the moment he uses Ea, he respects Shirou, and he can't do that. He loses because his character flaw limits Ea, and Gate of Babylon is hard countered by Unlimited Blade Works.

The moment that Shirou implied that he had surpassed Gilg in ANY way was the moment that Gilg HAD to put Shirou down with a battle between UBW and GOB. This is also why he hesitates to draw EA, because he realizes that simply by reaching for it he has already acknowledged that Shirou's UBW does surpass his GOB.

And apart from being cut up during the fight itself, he was right, he was about to win anyway, Rin's mana given to Shirou wasn't enough to actually bring him down and after the Grail tried to take him, he was coming out, or at least bring Shirou with him.
Effectively, Gilgamesh is defeated only because Archer remained around - showing off his Indipendent Action skill - and sniped him, which anyway possible exactly because Gilgamesh was eaten/consumed by the Grail.
To Gilgamesh it was personal, and he paid the price.

Yeah it was done perfectly, even the music is fitting. I don't like how Deen's version had Shirou immediately grab a sword and run in. This particular shot of Shirou standing there just makes him a lot calmer, like it really is his own world.

I also don't like how Gilgamesh go rushed after him as well to trade in a stupid swordsfight. If he personally attacked Shirou like that, then doesn't that mean he is taking him seriously? It ruined the reason why Gilgamesh lost to Shirou.
There's quite a few of those "signature shots" to be fair, in particular the one where Saber is summoned and Shirou looks up at her with disbelief is one of the most famous ones I'd say.

I was so amazed to see that the Rho Aias that was casted on shirou while he was chanting the ubw marble was actually casted by archer, and was so precisely timed that it won't give gilgamesh any hint that archer was still there. It was such a great hint given to all that I think it skipped most people's mind that shirou just cannot cast a rho aias at the same time as creating reality marble, that too one with 5 petals.

Gil has too many np to choose from just to kill shirou. He could have used nukes, used space distortion weapons, suits up his golden armor. etc... None of his A+ rank np are shown. He never needed EA to begin with.
