    Hey mate, love you're approach to planning a paint scheme, especially for something as complex as a malifaux model (lot's of textures, articles of clothing and the base!)
    You're use of a zenithall and brush work is great to see!
    Also, so glad to see Malifaux models getting videos.
    Your voice over is brilliant and your editing is solid.
    Keep up the good work!

    I really liked your style: very pedagogical and detailed. Good explanation, analysis, and the paint job itself. Makes me only want to buy Tiri crew even more 😅

      *does NOT look up the definition of pedagogical*
      Totally what I was definitely going for!
      Thanks for the compliments, you should totally give Tiri a try if you’ve been interested because the crew is pretty solid.

    Very nice! How would you recommend stripping paint from a Malifaux model?

    • @SubParNinja
      @SubParNinja  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RotToFThEgOdS I don’t want to sound facetious, but I honestly just paint over my stuff these days, it works well enough if you kept it thin the whole time.
      However I’ve previously stripped models successfully using oven cleaner to soak it in, just make sure to use nitrile gloves. I’ve used Simple Green too, with less desirable results but also less chance of chemical burn. Use a toothbrush after soaking for a few days!

    • @SubParNinja
      @SubParNinja  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Scratch that, maybe don’t use a toothbrush, a lot of Malifaux models will break with that stiffness

    what other mediums did u tried? if i use one then pro acryls glaze & wash medium or water, lahmian Medium is simply too expensive for what it does

    • @SubParNinja
      @SubParNinja  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The ones I recall trying are Vallejo Glaze Medium, Vallejo Thinner Medium, and recently Green Stuff World Master Medium. I think that the VGM worked out rather well enough, and I used it exclusively for about 6 or so months. I was extremely disappointed with the Green Stuff medium, and it had a super strong smell to it. I guess I tend to default to the GW medium because it just works so well with GW paints, it basically turns any of their paints into a perfect wash, and I prefer the finish it gives. But yeah, GW stuff tends to be overpriced.
      I may be in the minority, but I tried a single paint from Pro Acryl and wasn't a big fan, but I'll give their medium a try the next time I come across it! Thanks for the tip!

      @@SubParNinja Oh, I thought it would be easier on bigger models since you get a lil more room to play with. Well, at least I am having fun painting some gremlins, since they are dirty lil guys I can pretend like the messy paintjob is on purpose :)

      @@birddispenser Unless I’m using an airbrush, for me the bigger surface areas always end up being more work no matter what. It’s like, painting a single color on the side of a building is a lot more painful than 10 colors on a model car lol.

    Great idea for the bases ! Raises the height a little bit, is it for practical purpose playing ?

    • @SubParNinja
      @SubParNinja  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s exactly right!! In fact, they’re Micro Art Studios bases. I get them whenever I can, because they’re the perfect width and height to place inside a 30mm base and the combination gives me a feeling like it’s a plinth while still being playable. Adding height makes your model stand out further but when it gets too high it looks a bit goofy. Plus it gives me one less thing to do, I’ll let someone better than me design a base, it will probably be better than my cork :)
