Dude. Your sense of humour is so creative, but as soon as you said "Catapilla Action" my bottled up appreciation for your comedy exploded in out loud laughter. Brilliant 👏
I will not rest until I can gaslight a poor painter into thinking that it’s actually caterpillar action. Then I will hang up my cape and stare out into the sunset. Thank you so much for the compliments! I’m so happy to get chuckles from folks, sometimes when I’m writing this stuff I get doubtful that it will land, it turns out that if you write a million of them it can’t fail :)
Cool video and narration style mate. Your explanations are easy to understand, and you get it across well. Your humour was all over the place, but it is better than many other monotone painting vids we see. I definitely enjoyed the ones you slipped in without setup.... the polygon and bank jokes were certainly the two stand-outs in my opinion. Got a snort out of me. Keep up the good work
Getting a snort = win! Thanks for the critiques, I truly appreciate it! I get where you're coming from with the humor, it's certainly more of a stream of consciousness when I write because I've honestly not written many scripts before. Working on improving it, as I know some don't land anywhere at all - but hey, we're all on a journey of improvement! Appreciate the words of encouragement as well!
Absolutely, for one it's not stealing when I followed the recipe from the guide in the paint set :) Two, it's not stealing even if I didn't because if it was then that would mean that I stole everything in my painting journey and that places me in a moral quandary I'm not prepared to address at this fragile time. If you post your progress anywhere let me know!
Thanks for hopping in and taking a gander, and I very much appreciate your compliments! I can't wait to grow either, I'll finally get to be tall enough for the ride :)
Can’t steal something that was freely offered! Maybe think about adding some white to the green for further highlights, for ghosts and ghouls this extra step going into more pastel color can really emphasize the spooky types. If you have a way of sending updates I’d love to see/hear about the final results and what you learned!
This is so much better than the other lists I’ve been on in the past! I won’t go into to detail but it rhymes with FCI Botch List. Seriously though, this is the best compliment ever :) It makes my heart grow three sizes too large. I’ll try my best to give you content as quickly as I can, but making videos can be difficult, who knew? It may not be as frequent as other creators, but it will certainly be content.
I’ll shoot, you run! Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for being a fellow Coheed fan!!! Their music continuously melts my brain. Their comics continuously confuse me happily.
@@SubParNinja Not only are your commentary on painting techniques so helpful, you add personality throughout the entire vid! The mark of a great content creator. @@shirokhorshid2997 this means the absolute world to me! Making videos has been one of my lifelong passions (believe it or not I used to make Warhammer videos for myself over 20 years ago 😳). I sort of let that passion fizzle as life flew by, but decided that I should prioritize my love of this stuff and stop hiding in the shadows!
@@SubParNinja Of course! I love painting and recently tried to share it with the world on some other socials. I may not be very good but that's why I am here! You rock!
@@shirokhorshid2997 thanks, but firstly - what’s with this “not very good” stuff? Hogwash! I saw your stuff, the odogarons are legit! And don’t discredit your chibi eyes. Revel in your awesomeness my friend. I’d wager that no one else but yourself says you’re “not very good.” We may not be Angel Giraldez, but we can get there! Sometimes we think that because we’re not the best that we’re not good at all, but that’s black-and-white thinking right there, and as painters we deserve to think in more colors than that. Keep getting better, my friend - and I’ll be here to give you an internet high five along the way :)
Working on the next one for ya! For the base, it’s actually super simple. I just glued a Micro Art Studios 25mm base on top, it gives the model height and the impression of being on a plinth. Plus, I don’t have to do any extra work, and someone who is better at making bases for the sculpt does all the hard work ;)

Your method for painting leather was really interesting, so I am going to steal it.

The channel definitely needs a Lamborghini ;)
Great video, keep em up. The bit on planning color picks is v. helpful. More cat footage is always great too
Thanks! The cat is the most important part :)

I love this comment and malifaux and this video and you :)
Great content dude 👌
Thanks so much buddy!
Bro, you get a follow just for the Coheed and Cambria hat! But your painting skills spectacular, too, so I'll stick around. Good eye, sniper!
