While the grooming experience might be a little intense for some, the training process for both the goldendoodle and poodle is an absolute breeze, as both these dogs are smart and want to impress their owner. They also both love treats, which makes it easy to teach either dog tricks, commands, or really anything you want to try.

These are popular breeds, but it’s also worth noting that after the initial cost is the long-term upkeep of your animal. From trips to the vet, to grooming, to giving them the proper food and toys, you are going to run up a pretty expensive bill caring for almost any dog, and the poodle and goldendoodle are no exception.

We just brought a mini golden doodle into our home. We decided to combine our two favorite family dogs from the past into one. Hailey, our golden was stunning, loving
and joyous. Booster, our poodle rescue was smart, loyal and a bit neurotic. Both passed when they were 8 years young. Hailey with cancer after she had her leg amputated (living for one year after her surgery) and Boo from an enlarged heart (a common poodle ailment). We are hoping Bentley lives a long life. He is absolutely the most fun puppy I have ever seen!

We bought a brother and sister Goldendoodle pair without reading the warnings of siblings. One is “flat haired” and the other is traditional. He’s a douffas and she’s a brat. Love them insanely!

There are cream colored standard poodles. Why buy anything less? I am using my cream colored puppy to fake ignorant that think a mutt improves the breed. The creator of golden doodles thinks the poor inconsistent breed needs to disappear.
