I have stretch mark prone skin and one thing I can say has worked for me is not scratching my belly when it itches but instead rubbing Vaseline on it and using tissue oil

I read that chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays which it then converts to heat before releasing it inside the body and melasma in pregnancy is mostly triggered by heat coupled with sun exposure…hence the aversion to chemical sunscreens in pregnancy. That’s another reason why physical sunscreens are recommended in pregnancy.
