hi i thought about this song for a very long time and it is incredibly relatable, so here's a few ideas that popped in my head while listening - some people seem to believe that teens aren't going through a mess of emotions and new experiences, and they blame it phones - the singer (anri) is confused on who they should be, and they don't have a reason to keep on existing if they can't break down the false assumptions - division versus unification ends up in mental and physical decay/rot, and the singer just decides to throw sanity in the trash. theory time! - i think this is about a teenager who is not being treated well. i think that they also have gone through some verbal bullying, gaslighting, and manipulation, and it has crushed their mental state. - the singer doesn't want to be apart of a world that treats people like pawns, and if they can't do anything about it, then what is the worth in living? - i believe the title, "ashes", refers to the dead ones who built the society the singer lives in, and that people are making opinions and manipulative lies based on the words and laws of those before. anyways that's just my little ramble!!! it may not be accurate, but it's just my interpretation thank you friend for this amazing song (not to mention the artwork of anri, the art is goregous)
