I think it's just the brightly-colored, surreal, and glitchy aesthetic with heavy doses of eye symbolism. Yume Nikki has done something similar before, so I don't think think it's exclusive to DDLC.
I have had myself some experience about hypnotic recordings scattered here on youtube, and I actually appreciate what you did on the bridge part of the song, depending on the goal of the recording, the hypnotist can actually tease the person listening by counting up to ten (sometimes 5 or 3) and waking them out of sleep trance for a bit, encouraging the listener to try and get out of the trance altogether, only to fall on it even deeper, this song is some nice beats, I was surprised you dont even hit 10k subs you are highly underrated
