Bro you’re spot on with this Colombian info I just got back from Colombia to the states I’m Colombian American and what you say is very accurate. I got ran up on with my girl in cali walking to my hotel at night two guys on a motorcycle came up to us came after me with guns and we got into it my girl smashed a bottle on one of them left them bleeding and they ran off when they saw we wasn’t holding back crazy story but we are survivors
Damn bro yeah Cali can be dangerous even for the robbers haha, glad you guys got the best of the situation brother 🙏🙏
Much Respects To Everyone! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
What about Barranquilla and Santa Marta? I Been to both and was safe and nice vibe overall
Great video. Armenia is great. Great people, food, malls, movies, Papas Pizza, KFC, McD’s, nightlife… very very friendly and diverse Afro-Colombians, Indigenous, etc…
Great info!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent info as usual! 😎
Appreciate that John 😎😎
So glad to get another Colombia video from you!
I'll be keeping this mind if I return to Colombia in the future. Right now, I'm still learning so much about Medellin. Some of MDE suburbs such as El Retiro seem very nice & safe.
How is the trip going bro? Damn just made me realize I completely forgot about Rionegro and towns out that way
My guy is just professional with it, he needs to organize some tours for a fee.
@@BushidoNomad Trip is all good. I'm around Poblado now in Manila. Very nice over here. Yes, I've also heard great things about Rionegro
@@BushidoNomadany intel on Rio Negro for a family. The airport is a plus
Bro, thanks for putting this video out. This is probably the most informative video about Colombia out on TH-cam to date. I want to check it out but with all these acts of violence, I'm not sure which cities are safe. Since I'm taking Spanish lesson online from a lady from Bogota, It looks like Bogota gonna be the place I will visit first. Originally, I wanted to go to Cali because I was told the northern section of Cali was OK. Keep posting more content about Colombia. There are a lot of us who want to visit who are not into the "pay for play" crap.
Thanks dude I haven't even heard of some of these places!
Happy it helps bro 😅
Just checked out a few of your vids. def the realest channel on here covering colombia. First went to pereira a few years back (first time in colombia) and saw so much crazy shit. Great times though. Also agree on foreigner rep in the dump now. Passport bro weirdos coming for the wrong reasons but it is what it is
Appreciate that brother yeah its a good time forsure haha
Great video!!! I want to travel solo and go to Spanish school how safe is Guatape or San Carlos? Any suggestions? Thanks
Both are safe brother!
I'm curious to know how long have you been living there? I was in Colombia for 4 months around 2015 and I heard many stories of it being unsafe then but once I travelled around I didn't think it was as bad as people had made out. Do you think it is much worse now and if so what caused the change? When I was there I spent most my time in Cali, Medellin, Bogota and then the coffee region and the north (Santa Marta and cartegena). The only time I felt on edge was in Bogota walking back to my hostel at night time and that was only once.
Hey brother the main difference between now and then is there probably 10 - 100x more publicity on the subject even if crime has increased its irrelevant compared to the massive increase in publicity. Remember just because you didn't see something when your own eyes doesn't mean it wasn't happening all around you (one street down etc.) and you didn't notice. If you speak Spanish to you can hear people talking in the streets saying "I just got robbed" "he got killed last night" etc.
thank you for this video I have been planning to go to Bucaramanga but wasn't sure because people don't really review it
That's one of the spots I'd looking at living forsure if I ever moved back
@@BushidoNomadyou wouldn't find it boring?
I appreciate your videos brother! My mother is Colombian but I spent my entire life in the U.S. I have to admit your video made me nervous. Since I been traveling and visiting family in Colombia. I discovered a city much like Medellin with a similar climate. Honestly, I hope this city doesn’t get bombarded by Americans and other foreigners. Tourists in Colombia are like flies getting caught in a web. They attract the robbers and the prostitutes. Look at Cartagena it use to be a nice place to take your family for locals. Now the city is full of prostitutes and sexually deprived perverts from the U.S. and other countries. It’s like South Beach in Miami on Memorial Day weekend. Moreover, gringos should not travel to small towns on their own. The ELN and other groups use to primarily occupy towns near the Venezuelan border and in the pacific region of Colombia. However, even the city i frequent that’s similar to Medellin. ELN recruiting literature has recently been posted in the Centre of town. Tunja is very cold and it rains most of the time. Keep up the good work
My wife is Colombian. Both our kids were born in Tunja, now she wants to go back with the kids ..... the place is safe but it's cold. I wish I knew a place as safe as Tunja with better weather.
@@nampmaljr9294 Yes! Tunja is very cold, however, there are much warmer and safe towns in Colombia. Especially in the department of Cundinamarca
6:09 Looking straight outta Encanto super beautiful
Really is brother
I've already been to Colombia, I'm not going back unless it's to a secure Airbnb/ Hotel with security and calling a Casa to send me some entertainment while I order Rappi. Then fly my ass back out.
I'm from Colombia. I lived in Bucaramanga for about 12 years and it is kind of dangerous specially for the "ñeros" and the Venezuelan motorbike robbers. I visited Ibagué and it seemed safer to me, nevertheless, like anywhere you should watch out. I would like to visit Tunja and Manizales, they are known for being the safest capital cities in Colombia.
Thanks for sharing brother 🙏
My guy is just professional with it, you just need to organize some tours for a fee.
Respects brother 🙏🙏🙏
Man, I’ve lived in Bucaramanga for 2 years and moving back in 6 months…..it’s kind of safe but not crazy safe by no means
Well said brother
Good talk, as a norteamericano be extra vigilant about Hispanics that speak perfect English and can describe cities, streets, and landmarks in American cities, chances are they got bounced out of the USA because they weren't citizens and had too many felonies. Not wet behind the years as experience in the Philippines made me alert to card shark games or quick hand money changers on the street and survived downtown Panama City during the Noriega years by being careful who I talked to. In a cool city in Colombia on the street someone said he recognized me, he said I will pay for lunch, sorry my credit card doesn't work, so I paid for pizza, he said he was big in finance, I will pay for your massage he said, ok, then at the start of a lousy massage a light bulb went off that said things don't add up, I am being conned, I settled up with massage desk for half an hour, looked out on the sidewalk and saw him waiting for me, his easy mark. I took a back dark staircase, crossed several construction sites , cut into a mall crowd and made my way back to my hotel. I am out about 25 bucks but can say I had an episode out of the movies escaping.
Very helpful brother thank you sharing for that
Great vid. I feel like with Colombia the negatives seem to heavily outway the positives. Is anything really worth having a gun pulled on you or some girl potentially setting you up at anytime?
That's the contract you sign when going there forsure
Curious about Bucaramanga and the safety element ? --- Direct flights from Florida supposedly exist. ( ? ) Spanish is needed I hear except for 1 hospital perhaps English will do ? Climate is reported to be nice - a bit warmer @ under 5000 feet elevation. -?- 🧐 🙏 👍 🤔 👀
If you're taking precautions Bucaramanga is a great option and many people do get by on English in Colombia
I actually don't want to mention this city because I felt incredibly safe and it's modern as well. Barranquilla is a hidden gem 💎
Thanks for sharing brother, I haven't been there but I've heard the nice part is very nice, enjoy your time there 🙏
@BushidoNomad I been to both sides of city & enjoy very much. I'm actually dating a local there currently.
dangerous af
Bro, Mde has been 30 C. hot everyday midday last 2 weeks..not sure i wud like even hotter Cali. 😢 took a moto ride up to santa elena then Retiro..amazing how temp drops heh?. What is ur top pick of a Colombian city lower temp than Mde?
@legion0101 Manizales bro. Thank me later.
Yoooo...
Yoooooo
I have a friend thats from Bucaramanga and he tells me its safe but there is a place in the city where he would not go for safety reasons!
That's one of the top spots I'd consider living if I ever moved back
I might go this year, and if I like it, I’ll consider investing in some land there👍🏼
North Bucaramanga
@BushidoNomad what if you had a family (Caleña wife 2 kids 8 girl 16 boy) we all speak Spanish, where would you live?
Hello, do you know what cities that are away from all the hustle and bustle that hold Afro Latinas?
Palmira just out side of Cali might be worth checking out brother
Don’t think it’s that safe in manizalez barrio San Sebastián jaja San Jose they kill for one joint I seen it 😅
OYE AMIGO MIO WHY YOU SHARING THESE GEMS FOR JAJAJJAA.....DONT LET THESE FOREIGNS MESS UP COLOMBIA LIKE MEDELLIN Y CARTAGENA JAJAJAJ
