    Very nice video. Two points:
Regarding the ending of Queen's Gambit, I don't know I agree with your interpretation: I found it quite symbolic. Chess is notorious as an abstract strategy game with huge emphasis of forethought and planning. I think Ms. Harmon's decision to do something out of the ordinary (get out of the car and instead walk to the airport, via the park) represents her doing something random/unplanned and contrary to how most of her life has been to that point. It's a response to her having fulfilled her ambition of becoming World Champion: she can finally stop living such a regimented life and make decisions that aren't necessarily aimed at achieving the optimum outcome.
As to how a musical might work, I'm less concerned about how elements such as Ms. Harmon's visualisation of chess moves will work. I'm interested in how music and song will be used to tell the main characters' stories and their challenges. Might be interesting if they use the opportunity to delve a bit more into backstory/motivations of certain characters such as Mr. Shaibel, her adoptive mother Alma and Townes.

I’m all for turning movies into musicals but what would get me waaay more excited is if they turned more singers/bands into musicals! Like I really don’t understand why that isn’t done more?! I saw the meatloaf one in London and it was magical! ✨I’d really like a Beyoncé musical 🎶 or the killers or Bon Jovi or Oasis, I mean there’s actually so many!

The Killers I’d love to see! For some reason they push their music to showcase their life. For example MJ, Tina Turner, Neil Diamond. I wish they did more like All Shook Up or Across the Universe.
