- Continuing with slow time in Moab. I'm on vacation and Mike and Shawn are catching up on maintenance on the fleet and shop work. Some people are digging the shop videos, some people are missing the recoveries, trust us we are missing the recoveries also. We will get back to them as soon as we get called. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Moab is in good hands with the twins holding down the shop.
"Learning is expensive!"
Amen brother!! Absolute truth!
Im usually not a fan of spinoff shows but The Mike and Shawn Show popping in every now and then is Hilarious!!😂😂😂😂
It's always been the Mike and Shawn show and Rory makes occasional guest appearances.
@@glenjamindle 😅😅😅
What's the name of that other dude? I can't remember. 😂
Isn't it Josh?
Go check out their channel! Dirtbillydelux! Mike is building an awesome off-road camper and Shawn does upgrades and projects on a few of his rides.
I vote the trail mater team as number one for greatest 1 liners. It's not just one of them, it's the whole team
Rory you really got a great crew. Just thought I'd say. Awesome work guys
Nice to see you fixed the rear drum brakes on ol' blue instead of converting to discs ( like every other channel on TH-cam would have done) I like this truck as much as Mater
Thumbs up to the Mike and Shawn show! Thanks for taking us along on some work around the shop!!
Putting the shim behind the race moves the race out of the contact seat for complete support on the race. Yes, it's thousands but it was designed that way for a reason and some bearings you can do that.
If only you had a way to haul that anvil to the shop 😊. After 2 back surgeries you can bet i don't do that anymore.
Duck Mike!!! The safest guy getting hurt the most.
Taikuu Mike and Shawn, thanks for showing us what the mice do when the cat is away.
Great video guys. Always love the Mike and Shawn show!!!
It's almost Rockin Robby hobby lobby wrecker building time🎉💈🎰
Thanks from England.
I learned a trick from a guy in the Seattle area. I was subcontractor to the guy really knew his business. He owned a company called cheap tow Lloyd Baldwin. He said when you adjust your rear brakes ring your parking brake up about three clicks, adjust your brakes and then let off your parking brake and everything will be nice and even that way worked real good and six in a row gym again
Always an enjoyable show
I actually enjoy all the hijinks in shop as much as the recoveries
The Mike and Shawn Show comes through again, good team work men !!!
Trail Mater shop shenanigans! When dads away the shop kids play!
Always a good time at the Trail Mater shop!! You guys are doing an excellent job! Rory will be proud!!
Mike gettin hit with the tail gate got me laughing so hard.😂 great job boys.
In my teens As a young Gearhead in training the first tool I added to my “standard set of craftsman tools” was a Brake Spring Tool. Great tool still have it 50 years later.
Shawn and Mike show for the win!!!
I especially like the quote "God loves cars.... and hates mechanics". LOL
Great job on the video, fun as always, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Ole BLUE SAYS "THANK YOU FOR PUTTING IN THE MAINTENANCE WORK ON ME!"BY STARTING RIGHT AWAY...
lmao, mike and shawn show, love it :)
Good that Rory has the trust in Shawn & Mike.
old blue sound like trailmater good job mike & shawn Thank Jeff
Yous guys are so Funny and always in a good mood. This is why i like watching this Channel any your Channel. Sorry for laughing so hard at you Mike when the Tailgate fell 😂
Thanks for the video Guys great job getting it done 👍❤❤.
Look at all the work y’all got done.
Impressed you guys didn't burn down the shop!! Good video!
"if you compare this to anything in wisconsin." this explains so much about mike.
The CAD - To Do List was an exact pattern for the work week.
WB Rory
Oh wow. The old brakes on Blue looked totally wrecked…. Great work you guys
Paul Cox puts bearings on pinions by heating the bearing on his wood stove. Then he just drops it on - it goes all the way down.
great job again.
Nice work guys, Rory should be pleased with your accomplishments.
Trailmater and Dirt Billy are the only 2 channels I'm still subbed to. I used to follow Morr, stopped when Trevor and Skeeter left, Robby Layton, stopped because it was just a constant advert for avalon or OnX, Heavy D just adverts and hype, RAD just didn't enjoy him working solo, Fabrats because there's something off behind the scenes with Ben leaving and MerlinOSG was hit or miss. The humour and content mix of you guys makes the content fun and you don't bombard us with sales pitches. Thank you for the content.
Life is too short to be bothered by such trivial things😊
I’m diggin the Mike and Shawn Show!
Quick,...before Rory gets back. Switch Blue's horn with a VW beep ;)
Common Name: Horsetail
Plant Description Name: Equisetum hymale "Horsetail Reed"
Very distinctive Jointed bamboo-like stems, Cylindrical habit when grown in a container. Prefers very shallow water to moist soil. Tolerates a little shade. Up to 5' tall, Zone 4-9
Great job guys! Didn't realize it till Mike mentioned Wisconsin that he sounds like a Wisconsin dweller.
Well done guys. I'm glad your sticking to your story that the electricity went out and you had to take the afternoon off. 😉😜
Mannaise! I need an anvil like that
The bamboo looking plant is Arundo donax, grown commercially in France an Spain for musical instrument reeds. Bagpipe, oboe, sax etc.
Great show, keep up the great work
put grease on the splines at the clip it will center the clip, also helps
Nice mix of stuff - def worth seeing. Thanks, and welcome back Rory
Great job guys, hope you had a good weekend.
Great job guys looks like you got all of your Rory jobs done.
I did giggle at "Hold my sandwich!" more than I should have... 😂😁😜
Lol Justin walks towards the shop with the heavy ass anvil and then walks back with it. Also poor Mike. That tailgate slamming on the noggin had to have hurt.
Heck, I enjoy seeing the shop work because it is change of pace, and since you goofballs are not in front of a customer we can see your true selves. That are fine.
You guys are great!!
We loved it!
Video a day keeps the bordem away !!!
It’s all fun and games until shit don’t fit right but you boys managed to get a lot of work done while the boss was gone!
We have stealth killer tailgates in South Carolina too. Their prey are the Yellow Bellied Rock Peckers ..
hay Mike, I see that tail gate had your name on it. oucH......... love your video's.
Always fun to watch you guys ❤
You guys are a great team (Oh, and Rory too). :>)
How to know you are a landlubber:
They say, "You know what snow means!? Donuts!"
And I think to myself, "wow, they are going to take another break and get some warm and fresh! Sounds great."
Mike and Shawn put out a good video and still having fun! Old Blue now has brakes and so does the trailer! Good job!
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
Where is Mike from? I grew up on a farm in Crivitz, WI. I hear Mike lived in Crivitz.??!
Love the repair videos keep it up while it's quite 👌 👍
You know that you can make a spreader tool that fits the hole on either side of the differential. That way you can get the gear set to slide in easier. Its crush tubes that faught me the hardest
Hi, from Wisconsin the land of cold, salty roads, and more rust than you'll ever want. LOL
You’re going to have to recheck that welded part sometime in the future to make sure it didn’t break again
Save the bearings and take a cylinder hone or something like that and open them up the inner race so they can slide on and off really easy and then you can use those to set the rear end up with for the shims that way I was usually just slide it off and slide it on and it works real well this is six and a rowJim from Kennerdell Pennsylvania
Some places sell setup bearings but I agree that making your own is easy. Flap wheels work well too for increasing the ID slightly.
Being from WI, he's spot on!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Well, i guess I’ll have to go back to watching DbD to get more Mike snd Shane Show shenanigans.
That "bamboo" looks like a weed that we have in Ozstraya that is called Arundo Grass
Just set the bearing on the wood stove for a few minutes and then it will drop right into place! Physics is fun! Bamboo will grow in Utah no problem!
Great job
Mike, I totally understand your rust comments, a couple years ago I bought an old truck from Utah/Arizona, and I drove it back to Canada and it's always remarkable when I work on it. 30 year old bolts just come off no problem, it's a rare sight up here. 1993 GMC Sonoma btw :)
I'm from central Minnesota, I know all about rust!!
So good. As always thx for the video.
11:05 safety first! Safety first, then teamwork 👍
Hey shop work is fun too sometimes. Mostly when it’s cold outside.
I'm impressed! You actually verified your backlash @ 4:45 ! GJ! 👍
Coffee Crisp from Canada is my favorite candy bar.
A slight breeze blew through the shop.. So Shawn said it was going to snow.. Native weather man.. haha
Hope Mikes head is ok? 😘. Look out for flying tailgates. Maybe now a helmet?lol Stay safe have fun.
Rotate cv shafts with slight pressure and will slide right in, clips centres itself without hammering on!
You can use a zip tie also to hold that clip compressed and when you push it in the zip tie will slide on the shaft and then cut it off
Sweet !!!
You guys should definitely do a rear disc brake conversion on old blue!!! Plus change out the front calipers to the upgraded 3/4 ton brakes!!! I definitely have found problems with the factory front brake setups on the Dana60’s!!! It not real hard to swap out either!!!
Yep good stuff.
Nice anvil 🤘🏼🇺🇲
Awesome video guys. Yeah it's bamboo. Grows wild in my back yard here in New Mexico. How I don't know. I don't water it or anything
Bamboo 😂 there reeds Mike its a grass 😅gardening book 📖 for Mike 😊
RORY…. Go on more Vacations! # LoveShawnandMike 👍🥰
I noticed the toilet behind Shawn @ 13.00 😂
We have an 08 GMC that has severe frame rust and right rear upper shock mount is gonna, yes from Wisconsin
Good job guys!
Thank you Trailmater
When I put bearings on pinon I put bearing in the oven and pinon in refrigerator 20 mins and the bearing will slide rite on!!!!
I like your style too😂
That plant is "Horsetail Reed Grass"
The Mike and Shawn show rocks. (Filmed before a live studio audience.)
Trial & Terror mechanical skills. Live & learn setting up gears can be a pain. Excellent repairs
