    Some rules goofs:
    - You get a to hit bonus for standing on objects.
    - There is a minimum threat level so I am not able to go below it.
    - I should not have been able to fire a ranger weapon at the zombie unless I moved away first.

Thanks for these. I am currently 3 corridors into this quest already had my Rogue fall through some collapsing grating , a disturbance in the void, then 1 exploration card added to 3 doors during rest, lowered threat by 5 to min of 2, (at 42:50 you lower it to 0 !) then rolled a 1😬. Faced 3 Giant Pox Rats and 7 Giant Rats (4 from Wandering a Monster and found 20 Coin in a discarded backpack, no Rooms but does feel like creeping through underground cellars.
TIP: If no encounters and you have a remaining 1AP it is wise to adopt a parry stance as next turn you could open a door to an enemy encounter e.g. as in your playthrough at 51:15 7 is less than 60 when an encounter was triggered.
Watching for any rules missed before continuing yesterdays session and for some reason forgot to check PER to avoid traps despite having played 1.63 PNP , it's even on the play aid.
It always amazes me how the narrative in some games fits the theme in your game in the study you find ingredients which clearly indicates an Alchemist's location and my Ranger was Diseased by a Pox Rat and ironically she has the Weak background. Why do you split spending AP between Heroes, a house rule or did you miss the rule that each Hero completes it's activation before the next one activates?

Thanks for watching! I love those thematic moments too! It’s a wonderful game although, as you’ve noted, there’s a tremendous amount to juggle.
      Thanks for the tip!
I believe I mentioned it in the video, but I was trying to juggle what I wanted everyone to do, which is why I skipped around before ending activation. I’ll try to get better at that if I’m able to capture some more.
      Thanks again.

Awesome video! Just wanted to post a comment for people who come here later. The rule on repairing has been errattaed. It now costs that much to repair 1 durability, not repair it to full. This is a change.

Whenever a trap is sprung through a threat or search roll, draw a trap card. Then randomize who has triggered the trap. That
character can avoid the trap by making a successful perception skill check with all applicable modifiers. If unsuccessful, the trap
is triggered and damage is dealt. The door or chest can then be opened, or the square can be traversed as normal.
If the perception skill check is successful, the trap is not triggered. It remains where it is until triggered or disarmed. A trapped door
or chest cannot be opened until the trap has been dealt with. If the trap is in a square, the hero may leave the square; mark it with
a trap token. Anyone entering that square triggers the trap. All enemies avoid traps except lower undead who behave as
though the square was a normal square. Enemies and heroes can also be shoved into traps if they are standing next to them.
Enemies suffer damage just as a hero would. Mimics that are detected with a perception skill check are not able to attack unless a hero attacks first.
Disarming a trap takes 2 AP and the pick lock skill. A success removes the trap; failure sets the trap off.

Also, a couple other rules issues I noticed.
    1) @8:19 You were not able to buy that beef jerky. Once any hero fails an availability roll, that item is no longer available for anyone until you return to a settlement at a later time.
    2) @ 18:02 The wizard needed an extra movement point to climb on that table. Since the table art takes up more than half the square, climbing on it is the only option, thus the Wizard didn't have enough movement (needed 7 and only had 6) to make it to that square.
    3) @21:07. You had your dwarf move through the space your wizard was occupying to get next to the ranger. Friendly models cannot move through the squares that other friendly models occupy.
    4) @21:47. You can't break up hero actions. The Ranger would have to wait until the Wizards turn was over before it moved and opened the door. The Wizard could not search, wait for the ranger to move, then move and take his spot, then have the ranger open the door. You must fully complete a hero's activation before moving to the next one.
    5) @39:00 It's 4 separate squares that the trap falls on. You don't get to skip a square by doubling up on the same one twice.

Another excellent video, thank you 😊 Super impressed how many rules you remembered, these play throughs are a great way to learn the game.
The only small mistake that jumped out was when rolling for the encounter check before entering the burial chamber. I think on the roll of a ‘7’ you would have definitely found some monsters, but glad you still got a fight in anyway! 😂
Also, not an error but in the rooms/corridors you can also do a general search for treasure as you had a few unlucky loot rolls! It’s not easy to find in the rulebook (p85 for rule and p176 for results table) in case you had missed this.
    Looking forward to part 2

Thank you! I’m surprised myself. 😂😂 So many rolls!
      Thanks for the heads up!!
Perhaps I had that roll mixed up with a scenario roll. Although now that I’m thinking about it, isn’t an encounter roll a d100?
I had searching in the back of my head, but was nervous to after so many fails and spawning a zombie.

Great play, about to start this coming up weekend with my group.
I been watching a ton of vids for anticipation and rules.
I believe with fear you only roll once per hero on each monster with (fear ability) and they are either feared or not feared through the entire fight vs that individual monster.

    • @saveyourgame5578

Great video :) As well as other things which have already been mentioned, I thought I'd just point out that you can't use your ranged skill while adjacent to an enemy. Also the zombie was supposed to be placed randomly by the coffin (not a chosen space) and fear tests are only rolled once per character, as soon as the enemy is placed. Keep it up!

    • @saveyourgame5578
      @saveyourgame5578  ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks for the info! I couldn’t quickly find that info about fear so I made it harder on my self instead of easier.
That make sense about the ranged skill. Didn’t think to check on that.
I did roll for the spaces around the coffin but was mumbling a bit so it was hard to hear. In these long sessions it gets hard to not start talking quietly as fatigue sets in.
I really need to buy the PDF so I can do quicker searches.
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@saveyourgame5578 Yeah the fear rules aren't that clear but the bestiary mentions testing when the enemies are placed and somewhere the designer confirmed that it's one test per character. The ranged thing is in the 'General principles of combat' section - " Shooting in Melee: Both heroes and enemies can shoot at targets that are in melee with other models. However, a Ranged Weapon cannot be used while adjacent to an enemy, unless specified otherwise by other rules." The PDF is a must! Looking forward to more videos :)

Best video explaining the game play really helped me a lot to get starting. I am still trying to learn but at 51:18 roll for encounter if you spawning enemies 0-60 and I think rolled a 07 were you supposed to spawn enemies . Thanks again for the great rules explanation 😊

    • @saveyourgame5578
      @saveyourgame5578  ปีที่แล้ว

I believe the typical way you "succeed" a check was in my head. So when I rolled under the goal my mind went to best thing for the heroes. But sure enough when reading again it looks like rolling under the chance spawns enemies. That of course makes more sense when thinking about adding 10 for each room or corridor that doesn't spawn an encounter. Thanks for calling that out!
Actually I just noticed another comment mentioned this and in that reply I mentioned that the scenario roll was probably in my head. Who knows! There are so many rolls!

Two things I noticed (that no one else mentioned):
    1) You only lose a lock pick if you fail, which you did when the celling trap was triggered. You do not lose the lock pick when the elf pick the door, so you're only down one lock pick, not two. (If I'm remembering the rule correctly.)
    2) This dungeon has a minimum threat level of 2, it could never be a zero.
However, you made less mistakes than other people I seen playing this game. And with all the fiddly rules to remember, that quite an accomplishment. I'm looking forward to your next video.

Are you sure the door number on your exploration card includes the door you enter? I understood that it's the extra doors inside the room excluding the one you entered. This means you would have had 2 ways to go in the Dinning room instead of a dead end.

I believe the reason your dungeon was so linear is because you're supposed to add a number of doors in the room equal to the door symbols on the card instead of making the number of symbols equaling the amount of doors in the room. You don't include the one you came in through I believe.
