About this subject from a local priest that I trust "We have entered an age where speaking the truth will get you persecuted by those within the church".
Thanks for this video and thanks to Fr Murray for explaining thing so well. Lets pray for both Bishop and the Pope that justice, rights and fairness will be done.
Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops, and your religious act like religious. - Fulton J. Sheen
@@annestrada1724 Its a precept of the church to contribute to the material needs of the church, even if used as a form of protest, how would this not constitute grave sin? There may be other ways to contribute materially such as providing manual labor free of charge but none of those are listed as an alternative.
Its obvious that if a Bishop or Priest stands against LGBT, Child abortion, ordination of woman priest and blessing gay marriage are not welcomed and removed. Its obvious to the layman's and the general congregations world wide yet nothing is done about this evil moves in the church.
Write to the Vatican and say NOT ONE PENNY MORE UNTIL BP. STRICKLAND, FR. PAVONE AND OTHERS ARE RESTORED AND JAMES MARTIN AND OTHER HERETICS ARE REMOVED.
The priests in Italy that were the most vocal against the gay lifestyle were themselves queer and sleeping with guys. The whole Vatican is sick and has been that way for awhile. Just stick to the Bible forget Rome.
I'm sure it was nothing to do with the Bishop calling the Pope a heretic and a clown in public and in social media. If the now ex Bishop wants to talk like a protestant he is more than welcome to leave the church.
Thank you Father. You are very courageous in speaking the Truth and helping the laity to understand, without ambiguity and confusion, what is happening. God bless and protect you 🙏🙏👏
Whenever I disagreed with my parish priests’ views or decisions, I became angry and negative. Then the Good Lord always reminded me to be humble and obedient like St Padre Pio.
Blind obedience is not laudable. Obedience to injustice is to be complicit with injustice. While we do not know if the removal of Bishop Strickland was justified or not, the failure of Rome to explain the reasons leads one to logically conclude there is no just reason.
Wouldn't Bishop Strickland's case be an appropriate occasion for the U.S. bishops' conference to formally ask the Pope to openly explain the reasons for his decision?
All bishops must fear that the Pope could remove them arbitrarily. Therefore, many bishops could have an interest in putting pressure on the Pope to make his decisions transparent and comprehensible.
“We can say that the Pope made a mistake and not offend the Pope in doing so”. That is true if the Pope is a humble Christian, open to correction, as was St. Peter, of course, when St. Paul openly opposed him to his face, telling him that he was wrong (not in his teaching, but in his application of his teaching) however, not all Popes have the same humility as St. Peter, sadly.
Bishop Strickland has been criticising the pope for 5 years. Neither Pope Benedict nor Pope John Paul II were this patient. So the impression is that something else led the apostolic visitors to recommend Bishop Strickland’s removal. If not, as I’ve been writing, let the diocese of Tyler take direct action for the immediate reinstatement of their bishop.
@@sextustullius Can you share examples of those Pope Ben and JPII removed after they criticized him without having committed a canonical crime? Thanks.
@@sextustullius It was not charitable nor just for the Holy See to omit the reason for his removal. The people of Tyler, who love their Bishop, deserve an answer. The pope has the ultimate authority to dismiss a bishop. Bishop Strickland is stepping aside obediently. I don't think patience has anything to do with it. What is charitable and just is to provide the reason.
I think an issue here is that can't fire someone without explaining why, even in secular jobs. So if The Bishop is removed they have to have given him a reason for that. It appears that is not the case in this incidence, as I believe Bishop Strickland would have said why the decision to remove him was made. The Pope needs to explain why he was dismissed and a public statement to that effect issued.
I don't think it's fair to remove Bishop Strickland, without crime committed; Vatican & the whole congregation in Vatican should give the Catholic laity all over the world an explanation.
@@vicenteroque8108 And Rome needs to submit to the supreme authority of the gospels and the teachings of the church. Rome is not the author of the deposit of faith, only its custodian.
I like what Fr. Murray said about the Pope's silence on the reason for dismissal; it lacks charity and justice. We have seen these character flaws in action many times before.
Both diocese, Tyler and Arecibo, loved their bishop. Both bishops, Strickland and Fernandez Torres, defended their flocks. Both did not push the COVID vaccine and gave dispensations. Both were conservatives and did not bow to the alphabet letter soup group community like the other bishops in Texas and Puerto Rico have. Both were fired unjustly. Both will receive their rewards in heaven and their punishers will receive something else.
We do know why Ganswein, Torres and Strickland were removed they defended the faith. We know why Cardinal Hollerich, Cardinal Marx and Bishop Batzing or Bishop Bonny have not been removed: they support the agenda. My question would be, in refusing to tell us why Strickland has been removed with the implication that Strickland committed wrong, has Francis committed the serious sin of calumny against Strickland's good name?
No offense to Fr. Murray but as a Catholic man I am and will stand against this evil “pope” who is clearly working against the Gospel. I have sworn allegiance to no one except my king Christ. So permission to speak against and be against this evil is given by my King.
This was such an honest and tactful answer. I wish more priests and (even 1 acting) bishop would stand up for Bishop Strickland or at least provide a fair analysis like this.

This thing by the name obedience to the superior's is killing the Catholic church they cannot be told nor corrected in anyway bcoz they r vested with power others even refusing to get out of office wen they finish their terms of office.
OK, we do not know the reason. Canon 751, Schism is defined as not submitting to the pope. Accept that it was just until he is given faculties again. St Paul in the Scriptures says to not get into factions, to have unity. Bishop Strickland needs to act like St Padre Pio, be humble and not say anything further against the pope. The more he speaks against the pope the more we see he does not value Canon 751. It's against charity to use his own quote "a lack of charity of justice" to assume justice was not done against Bishop Strickland. It is not charitable to believe the Pope did anything wrong.
