- Colored vertical lines appear all over the screen. At first, they were going away after some time, but it has been getting worse and worse, and now they just last forever. LED TV Troubleshooting
SOLUTION: vertical lines are most commonly caused by a bad t-Con board. I suggest to remove the back of your TV and to check the boards for any obvious damage etc. After that consider the T-con board.

Yes, give it a smack, this has always been a proven method of fixing. Always consider the hammer 🔨, That multi-use tool and if it doesn’t work, you will always have that sense of satisfaction when pulverising the device into tiny little pieces. Then when finished, place the bits in the original box and claim your full refund. 😃
Hmmmmm, this is a funny joke. I tried my multi-use hammer....but that didn't work. Maybe my hammer app needs updating, or I did it wrong. So then I tried throwing it off a third-story balcony, just to clear the static energy and give it a good restart. That didn't work either, so now I am thinking about using duct tape? My uncle Jim-Bob says duct tape will fix anything. Any duct tape techniques?🤣
Hi thank you for your assistance, my Samsung tv originally had vertical lines and dome display. I cleaned off all the connectors it’s alcohol and reattached. Now it just turns on and off. I then disconnected one side of the cable and some display is one with vertical lines. I then disconnected the other side and reconnected the connected the the prior side. Video is still the same and does not change left to right and no longer turns on and off. I have a video board and ribbon cable on order but i may be at a stand still since I’m not sure that will fix it. What else do you think I should be checking ?
Had a similar issue with my Samsung q60 55". Big blue horizontal lines. Returned it to Amazon.

Hi, I'm reading this in December 2021. My TV's model is LTJ550HQ16. I opened the back of the tv and found exactly what you described. The connector on the power board is burned on 2 pins. The power board has the same discoloration but it isn't as bad. I think the TV has to be at least 5-6 years old. My question is if it's even possible at this date to purchase the replacement parts? Everything I found was used and many had a disclaimer that the part was pulled from a broken tv. I appreciate your thoughts. If you think it's worthwhile, can you recommend a reputable parts supplier?

Hillo my samsung have a sreen problem, what posible that.? Backlight its ok.
I also had several vertical lines in a Samsung TV Just doing a complete setup of the TV - like when it was first put in operation solved the problem. Part of the set up is to have the TV re-scan for channels . Resulted in no more vertical lines. No dissemble of TV was needed.

What' s the problem of samsung led tv 32" have a black thin vertical line in the center of the screen?
How about vertical columns of short horizontal lines covering the screen intermittently and not all at once on a TV without a t-con board? Any clues. I already tried replacing the motherboard and that wasn’t it.
Please check and replace if required inner and outer cable connection
1. Lvds cable connector socket
2. Tcon board
3. Tv Panel
3. Fpc cable between main board and Tcon board.

that has vertical lines and sometimes the picture will freeze even though the audio is normal. This happens with any signal I connect (Not a streaming issue.) Hey please open back cover and clean dust via rubber of lvds cable and connector pin via brush. And ensure all connection connected tightly inner and outside cables.

Bro, I have samsung smart LED 32".
In my led , whenever I turn on it, It shows vertical line with ghost image untill 3 to 5 mins then It gets Normal and It gives the normal display untill we turn off it for hours and then turn on it and along this issue we also face LED restarting issue on itself, sometime It doesn't restart and sometimes It restarts several times in a minute.

Please reconnect all cables of tv and your gaming console.
If not work then keep away any heavy appliances from tv.
Check your power outlet and use separate outlet for the tv.

Keep wifi router beside the tv. And change router band settings 2.4 ghz to 5 ghz.

Did you find a solution to this problem other than replacing the tv? My Samsung series 8 smart tv just started doing this while my son was playing the PS4.
Disconnected the one connect and made sure everything was lean but the issue persists.

I am having an issue with my 55 inch 8500 series tv. When I first turn it on, I have lines and ghost images all over the screen. After a few minutes, they all go away and it's a clear picture. Anyone have a clue what this could be?

My TV turns off and on with vertical lines but most often as soon as the volume button is pressed then it starts recycling. Why does the volume button also triggers that?

@@0devildante0 I bought another TV but I fixed the recycling by replacing a ribbon cable which cost about $25. I opened the back of the TV and saw a discoloration on the pins. Samsung main BOARD-TO-PSU RIBBON CABLE AWM 21016 105C 300V. That's the cable I bought.

I can't see the details of the images your putting up, (Remember KISS [keep it simple st...) and that's a lot of what we need. So the transitions, a 1 second cross fade all you need. the music is nice. redo and repost thanks
