I feel so bad for this poor man trapped in this vehicle. It must be terrifying seeing the flames and dealing with his pain. Why did the truck not have the "Mansfield bumper' that is suppose to stop a vehicle from going under the rear of the truck ??? This was mandatory to all semis and was famously named after Jane Mansfield was decapitated in a vehicle accident rear-ending a semi in june 29th 1967.
That's a pretty bad one. Glad they got him out alive. I did a TC while I was with heavy rescue at SBCoFD. Two door coupe lost control & wrapped itself around a rural mail box with the I beam stuck in the ground with 4 male victims. Driver easily extradited, 1 DOA, two rear passengers were trapped. Took awhile to unwrap the car from them. One eventually died enroute. Next day, we learned that they were all related (brothers/cousins) and was coming back from a funeral. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Now the surviving driver would no doubt harbor this for the rest of his life.

One of the drivers was a little ahead of me one night on the NJ turnpike when he plowed into another truck that was dead stopped in the right lane for some reason, going at least 70 mph. His truck burst into flames on impact, I came up maybe 30 to 45 seconds later andI hopped out to see if I can do anything. The burning question is how did this happen?
Fireball Whiskey...
Speed. Speed kills. He dodged one.
both speed and fireball we ski
@@MR1977.First of all that’s know what happened he was coming home from work
Good thing I’m not a first responder bc I wouldn’t risk my life for some drunk idiots mistakes. You can sit there and think about how you’re gonna get yourself out.
And pay your way out of it for sure. So many resources spent on getting stupid drunks out of death.
Bless these guys for cleaning up this complete mess!
That is a very confronting scene , a complex extrication with an active fire . I find it hard to believe that no breathing extension line was placed on the patient whilst still trapped .
Think of all the innocent lives this guy put at risk with his bad driving weaving in and out of traffic using cell phones trying to race or get in front of everyone else look at the cost of this mess he made think of all the innocent lives he put at risk not to mention all the fumes he made those first responders breathe in..
Do we know if he was drinking for distracted while driving? How do you plow behind a semi?
When its not your time, Wow! Angelic protection was all around this man. I pray for a full recovery🙏🏾 . S/o as well to the fireman working endlessly to get him out.
Nah this dude was just an idiot not paying attention to the road.
Hope all involved are ok ! Prayers to them !
This would be a great psa. That was intense. If he was going just a little bit faster, this would have been a messy body recovery instead of a amazing rescue. Thank you to our firemen/firewomen and policemen/policewomen for all they do. ( And YES, I said police man/woman too!!)
He's also wearing his seatbelt.
Good thing too!
LOL!!! How disrespectful and condescending comment being there are WOMEN Police Officers and FIREFIGHTERS!!!
Really demeaning!!

Prayers for a speedy and full recovery for this man. Those scenes were just horrific.
He drove drunk and could’ve wiped out you or your family instead of that truck. Why do you wish home a speedy recovery??
I think he’s still rocking out to the stereo. He good
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there. 👍 😀
GOD BLESS THEM FIRE FIGHTERS
No
One of everyone's biggest fears, being trapped alive in a burning car
Everybody is afraid of snakes, but I don’t get it. The fear of getting trapped inside a burning car is way worse, just imagine you are driving with your loved ones but Then a semi truck crashes into you, flips your car upside down and your loved ones are dead. Not only did you just crash your car, your seatbelt gets jammed but, wait fire starts and you see the corpse of your loved ones burning and you have to smell the scent of your family’s flesh cooking. Now it’s up to you to get out of the car but you try as hard as you can to break out of the jammed seatbelt while the fire gets closer and closer to you, then you start screaming for mercy that you don’t burn alive and the car explodes before your flesh starts cooking
May God bless all these firemen, police officers and paramedics for being there and helping all these people 🙏😘🙏
He’s was obviously doing something he wasn’t supposed to be doing
If he had passenger’s they would have been toast 😢
I swear Fireman have one of the craziest first responders Jobs out there
Never ceases to amaze the predicaments people get themselves into.
yep, I was just wondering if he caused the accident.
The man just got off work and fell asleep. Someone related to him posted that , and he is also recovering.
Took them an hour to get him out that’s crazy
In this video one can see the true meaning of the word “hero”
Unreal that he survived that inferno
Pretty intense rescue. Crunch time. Hopefully he'll look the FF & Medics up when he's healed for a big Thank You.
Hard lesson learned! put attention when driving. Lucky man.
Godbless first responders
WOW that is being ON SCENE!
This is the most craziest accident I've seen...I pray that he has a speedy recovery 🙏🏾
Speedy recovery? Not likely!

Can't help but to feel soory for this man.
Complex rescue. Strong work SB
Seeing this live definitely reigns in my speeding habits. Seriously.
If anything, you should hope it reigns in your, running into the back of truck trailer, habits...
😂😂😂😂
Drive safe, ya’ll!
Most accidents are preventable.
Amazing how in north America we can't be bothered to put better underride protection on the trailers.- Sure the iihs tests the new ones.... against a sedan, when many in us, ca, mx roll around in 6,000lb trucks. Prob. would save lives.
I was wondering if R72 was on the scene? The front winch may have been helpful. A tough situation and he made it out alive. Good job!
I'm just shocked the cops didn't arrest the fire fighters for parking in the street lol
get a life/
His guardian angel was definitely watching over him 👼 I pray 🙏🏾 for a speedy recovery
are you nuts? HE is being tortured. He likely died after that. Guardian angels... what world are you living on>?

Emergency workers working at all hours, in all conditions, and have to deal with
extremely challenging situations on a daily basis. They should get free beer and food wherever they go.
How'd the conflagration start? How'd flames get inside the trailer?
Probably from the oil and gas filled motor that was broken in half by the back of that trailer...
Wish there was a follow-up story, why he crashed into back of a semi trailer eg. DUI ?
When the firefighters start freestyling with the concrete saw you know time is short.
I was a truck driver delivering bulk mail. I used to see the same drivers every night while doing my runs @ around the same times cuz we were all on close schedules. We couldn't even get close to the truck cuz the fire was that bad and there was nothing anyone can do. I still till this day can hear his screams of being burned alive begging for help. I couldn't imagine being trapped like that in a fire and nothing you can do. So fucking horrible.
at 4:40 why no breathing apparatus for the driver?....what if he inhales the smoke?.... plse enlighten
Great job boys! God bless
Doing what they get paid to do, just like everyone else with a job. Nothing heroic about it.
The actual extraction was edited out. Looked like they adjusted the seat to make room to move him?
Around 4:50 … missed seeing driver removed from vehicle. It seemed like the front of the car was on his lap.
That must have been terrifying, and probably very painful. I think he'll have nightmares for some time. Hopefully, he'll get psychiatric help.
Lol he was drunk fuck him
