- Something for you My Little Pony fans out there. This was an interesting project. I bleeped out the more vulgar stuff to keep this more family friendly. I used bites of dialogue that I thought had good animatic potential, and had a lot of fun putting this together.

I love that William Shatner took this role very seriously while still having fun with it.
One thing I will say for the man, I don't think I've seen him ever phone in a performance.
Also, he is a huge fan of horses and actually has a horse ranch in Kentucky. So his thing about how they mutter and such is from his experience with them.

should see his twilight zone episodes, they a good time. even lenord nemoy was in one.

I wish so much there could have been an adult FIM. Not overly sexual or violent like most adult cartoons, but like just things and situations adults would relate to, and also casual cussing.

I NEVER thought that I'd hear someone as pure and innocent as the main six ponies curse.
But it's canon to me now.
To be fair they used pony adapted cuss phrases a fair often. You could pick up the slang meaning by context.
For example: Flying feather and horseapples, being flying fuck and shit, respectively.
I mean... Fluttershy canonically cursed when she said "peeved", and a mother pony covered the ears of her foal when that happened to solidify that fact.

I think people just find it amusing to hear the voices of characters from a children’s show saying “naughty” words. Even though it’s the adults who voice the characters swearing and stuff, it’s still the characters’s voices too.

This brings true happiness to my life, I couldn't have asked for anything else.
This is another reason I want to become a VA tbh. Just having fun while voicing your character. I’ve done a few joke fandubs (though I did make sure the lines were all right and made sense) and I had loads of fun doing those, even when making bloopers :)
