    Love the skinner blade. Still looking for my first Hinderer and the skinner is on the top of my list.

    Love this blade shape, especially in the skinny. It got me off the fence to buy my first Hinderer. Excellent customer service from USA Made Blade too. Just added a Jurassic as well in battle black with a WF blade. Didn’t even know he made that combo.

    I just scored a battle black skinny and then the same day picked up a full TI battle black scale. I'm waiting for both to show up in the mail.

    Sharpish thumbstuds, flippers, and lock bars never really bothered me because they don't really start to bother you until you flip the knife like 100 times which I do but I've always just seen it as a consequence of fiddle addiction.

    That blade profile almost reminds me of the Kershaw-Emerson. Overall profile is a little better though of course lol. Great video

    Just snagged this from DLT in black and anodized blue with blue titanium hardware for 300 bucks . I had store credit. Cant go wrong man brand new hunderer skinner for 300 with hardware. Hell yeah. My 5th hinderer to add to the collection

      The ones on DLT are the smaller 3" variants. The one shown in this video is a 3.5". Just wanted to make sure you knew the one you just bought is the smaller variant.

      @@metal_complex yes thank u for looking out brother I know its the 3" variant I wanted the 3.5 but u got ne into hinderer and I couldn't pass thus up abd the credit I had that made it cheaper was a no Brainer for ne I still love the smaller 3 inch variant I have a non flipper one and love it its so smooth.

    This is the only blade profile I can find right now that's what's got me on the fence about grabbing one at the moment I might have to start strider then come back to the xm

      There will be more blade shapes released for the XM 18 in the very near future 👍

    Been highly considering finding a skinny slicer...but then I’d probably have to sell my Rex-45 Shaman. Would serve similar roles for me.

    Just picked up a new skinny and was looking into how to mix n match hardware, have you heard you can use pivot screw from a 3” xm18 and handle screws from the 3.5” xm18 but the standoffs, handle nuts and scale have to be skinny Hrdwre, looking around there isn’t much “skinny” choices around, monkey edge had a small selection. I wanted to change blue black scale to black and go all copper to light up in the bronze

    Does it matter to people that Rick assembled and tuned each and every one of these Covid knives? I'm wondering because this is one of the few I've seen recently for sale for more than retail.(I don't look much)

    Alright Mr. Complex I need help. Im having trouble deciding between a zt 0450, spyderco smock, or a benchmade 940. I don't own a ZT yet so idk if that's something to consider.

    • @abc456f
      @abc456f 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All solid choices. For me, the 0450 was a little small. 940 is a classic, can't go wrong. I like the g10 940-2, the 940-2001 ti is sweet but overpriced at $340 imo. When the smock came out I wasn't that compelled to get one. The forward choil looked too small and it looked like it took too much length from the blade. But I just got the knifejoy smooth g10, 20cv model and it has exceeded my expectations.
      Came screaming sharp. So at this point in time I'd say the smock, maybe just because I'm still in that new knife phase. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

    • @jasonbrackett77
      @jasonbrackett77 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 940 is an easy pick. It is solid, but not great. If you don't own a ZT yet, I would recommend a 0470 or the 0450(both sinkevich models) if you want to stay small. I had a smock and its ok, but I think it would take 3rd on this list for me. Though, it is very fidget friendly if that matters for you. Wondering what you decided on. Surely you've gotten at least two, or all three by now?

    People that want to trash nylon washers? FYI - Nylon washers has the lowest drag coefficient of all 3.

    Random question man, do they make XM-24 fatties? I haven’t been able to find any.

    • @metal_complex
      @metal_complex  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. An XM 24 by default is exactly the same thickness both in blade and scale as an XM 18 3.5" Fatty. So if they did an even thicker XM 24, it'd be way too bulky. *EDIT* - but it'd sure be awesome!

    • @andrewtoole1222
      @andrewtoole1222 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1
