The final one is sort of like why the Devs of Civilization said Nuclear Ghandi exists; a weird series of coincidences. Yeah, apparently the "underflow glitch" never existed, but instead it's a series of coincidences together that made it happen. Basically, when Ghandi is dragged into a war, either because an ally dragged them in or the player declared directly, Ghandi will rapidly try and militarize, but, his AI had low priority for military, thus focused on Religion and Tech. Because of the Low Military but High Tech situation, Ghandi ends up building Nukes, which coincidentally you start gaining access to at around the time Democracy becomes available. As Nukes are all he has access to for defense, he will use them. Current theory is that someone was going for a military victory and declared war on Ghandi, who rapidly militarized and began dropping Nukes on them as it was all he had, so the player got salty and claimed this was a glitch. Blaming the game when the game was working as programmed, though perhaps not as intended. I think there *may* be "military unit limit" involved somewhere as well? Where Ghandi will end up spamming out a lot of odd units until he can't have any more, but Nukes don't count as Units, or are programmed differently, thus ends up factoring in to why Nukes get used?
I heard something about Ghandi had an aggression level at 0 to be always peaceful, but the computer didn't calculate that as such and didn't recognize 0, so it amped his aggression all the way to 100 instead and that's why he's so bloodthirsty.

Calling the fact that SMB3 is a stage play a "myth" (or even a "theory" for that matter) is kinda like calling the fact that first gen Pokemon towns were named after colors a "myth". At least when purposely looking closely at the title screen with the curtains, stage floor and shadows, the intent becomes obvious, and is confirmed when looking at the ends of the levels and the bolted and string-suspended platforms. To this day i still find the strange man from red dead to basically be a myth, i have genuinely no idea how to interpret that guy and it's been 13 years since then.
Honestly, it’s a bit up in the air for me as to who he is. I generally follow the popular consensus, that being that he’s the personification of the Devil

FF:06:B5 in Cyberpunk 2077 is the most exciting to me because I got to see it unfold in real time. From a simple random code in a statue, to a Reddit cult with tons of theories, to an actual secret sidequest in the game featuring a new secret wolfenstein-inspired minigame
Another myth that became reality (sort of) is the urban legend of Fasty in Crash Team Racing. Long of short, due to concept art for a travel agency mascot accidentally being grandfathered in with various CTR concept art, fans believed that there was a cut character called 'Fasty the Hippo'. Years later, this was eventually dispelled when the mistake was made evident and that the character was actually called Trippo. However, Beenox when remaking CTR decided to pay homage to the myth by creating Hasty the Moose, a character that takes large design inspiration from the original Trippo artwork.
I’m not gonna lie, I just popped this on in a video tunnel and assumed it was an old video I’d missed until you mentioned Concord. And I’ve gotta say, as someone who likes the hero shooter types of Call of Duty games, heck yeah
I think this could be a series, there's quite a bit of known and obscure myths added to games over time. A personal suggestion is that people used to think having upgraded weapons in RE4 also upgraded your knife, but the truth is some weapons have an innate critical strike modifier that also affects melee. Seeing as many people wanted to upgrade the knife the feature was added in RE4 Remake.
Fun fact, Silent Hill 2 wasn't a sleeper hit when it released. It was actually very much hated and it wasn't until many years later people began to fall in love with the game.
i've been hearing that ALL over the place, but only in the past like 2 weeks lmao, and i've been in the "fandom" so to speak for like 15 years. i'm not sure if i believe it's legit or just a thing someone said on twitter that has now been repeated over and over through hearsay. which isn't an attack on you personally- it's just weird that it suddenly only comes up now lol
It was highly praised, massively successful, and one of the main 'exclusives' to own a PS2 for at the time. People disliked 3, in comparison to 2, but nobody who was actually around and playing games at the time thinks 2 was hated, just teenagers who grew up with a PS3 repeating what they heard someone make up because they don't know any better and remember the remake being hated, so it sounds true to them even though it's the opposite of what actually happened.
This is true for many games around that time, but SH2 is not one of them. It wasn't praised like the horror genre's own messiah like it is today, but it was far from hated. It did sell a lot better in america than japan though, so maybe things are a bit different overseas?
Yeaaaahhhhhh... That's not even remotely true. It was a critical and commercial hit from the drop. Source: I'm old, was there for it, and read way too many mags and was already terminally online long before that term was coined.
It’s so funny to me that the whole “Mario 3 is a stageplay” was viewed as a myth or a wild theory when it was just plainly obvious that was the aesthetic they were going for. Like, they weren’t being coy about it.

So I guess all that to say; Good job dude. Keep up the hard work!
yes, you are back!!!!! I'm so excited I love your channel
...I only just now noticed that the 3 in the SMB3 title screen has a shadow shaped like the tanuki suit.
I really can’t believe you aren’t bigger yet. You remind me of an earlier time in TH-cam. Keep it up!
Dude your content has gone so far since that first video, keep up the good work. And CShift - I'm begging you man - PLEASE do a crossover episode with Oddheader, your combined powers could bring TH-cam to its knees
Thank you so much for your support! I’ve honestly considered putting an email in my description in case anyone wanted to collaborate! I’m shooting for the Caddicarus collab, but I’ll make Oddheader first on my list lol
Maria is in the backseat not the trunk. This was confirmed by team silent/James original VA
Yeah that was just a slight oversight/mistake on my part. Should’ve triple-checked before recording lol
14:50 wait, are sharks myth? I recall finding it once, and even surprised it is harmless, I recall me died immediately after touching it, no animation no drama nothing, just died. I found it simply by following N mark (as a child I thought it is a secret mission too far from map so I went with military airplane) so after spending aroun 10 or 15 minutes flying, I gave up and dive in water and found it there, and it killed me instantly just by touching in curiousity
The video literally mentions its in the game, just very rare to encounter
To this day i still find the strange man from red dead to basically be a myth, i have genuinely no idea how to interpret that guy and it's been 13 years since then.
Honestly, it’s a bit up in the air for me as to who he is. I generally follow the popular consensus, that being that he’s the personification of the Devil
@@cshift620Despite the fact he gives you the option of doing the right thing?
The Silent Hill 2 one become kind of true in the remake as, after watching the video in the Hotel, all the enemies left in the Hotel become scared of you and will run, hide, or just shake in fear.
Not the sequel we deserved, but the sequel we needed
The _TF2 Golden Wrench_ is reason 3 of exactly why I *_stopped playing Multiplayer/Online/FTP Games_* Lord. 💀
Its gonna be a good week, he has gave us another stellar video!
I was taking a break from playing the Silent Hill 2 remake to ease my nerves and it followed me here too
THE LAD HAS COME BACK TO US
FF:06:B5 in Cyberpunk 2077 is the most exciting to me because I got to see it unfold in real time. From a simple random code in a statue, to a Reddit cult with tons of theories, to an actual secret sidequest in the game featuring a new secret wolfenstein-inspired minigame
I was so sure you were going to go for the myth about Sasquatch in San Andreas. Didn't they put that in there in GTA 5?
Yes, they did put it in Grand Theft Auto Five! I think I briefly mentioned it in an earlier video of mine
You deserve some MORE attention! Videos are super good!
I’m not gonna lie, I just popped this on in a video tunnel and assumed it was an old video I’d missed until you mentioned Concord.
And I’ve gotta say, as someone who likes the hero shooter types of Call of Duty games, heck yeah
Calling TF2 a "Hero Shooter" is a bit of an understatement.
It's actually a class-based hero shooter.
I immediately thought of Luigi in SM64.
LET'S GOOOOO, He posts again
Fun fact, Silent Hill 2 wasn't a sleeper hit when it released. It was actually very much hated and it wasn't until many years later people began to fall in love with the game.
A lot of games and movies have that happen.
i've been hearing that ALL over the place, but only in the past like 2 weeks lmao, and i've been in the "fandom" so to speak for like 15 years. i'm not sure if i believe it's legit or just a thing someone said on twitter that has now been repeated over and over through hearsay. which isn't an attack on you personally- it's just weird that it suddenly only comes up now lol
Another top quality piece of hard work!!
But goddamn man,I just finished writing a segment for a video about the Quiet stuff and ya beat me to it.
RETURN OF THE KING
there was an old crash bandicoot racing game , my friends told me if i get all platinum keys(speedruning game perfectly) option to customize carts will unlock..
it was a legend but in remake they did add customizing
Psychonauts spotted in the ending montage 👀 I love when people discover Mila’s nightmares for the first time. It’s wonderfully twisted and I’m sad that Psychonauts 2 didn’t really have an equivalent.
Smh no mention of Ermac
I actually once managed to win an Australium wrench as a career MVM engineer in tf2 and sold that thing for $60 real life dollars in my steam wallet. It was sad to let it go, but in my defense, SOMA had just come out and I'm poor, ok.
Hey, I appreciate the spoiler warning for SH2! As someone who likes to play older classics from before I even knew what a video game is, I often have a hard time avoiding spoilers.

Don't forget Hello Kitty Island Adventure!
and liam payne will never get to see this epic return
If you ever do a third one of these, you really should cover "The Theory of Intersecting Points" from Shadow of the Colossus.
1:13 I'm crying
SMB3 > SMW. Fight me.
So you have chosen death
SMB3 = SMW
Real sharks are passive too, they only attack when they confuse you for a turtle or seal.
Me and the homies love C-Shift
PALADINS MENTIONED??? BY A CHANNEL NOT JUST FOR PALADINS?!?! I love you
7:00 im sorry i knoe they wsntrd it to look cool but it looks like she has been crying while not being good at applying mascara
Yoo I like this video, gotta watch the others soon
HE HAS RETUUURNED
Michael Richards Goes Crazy is my fav video game myth
I read that as michael reynolds as in Illbleed, and I was gonna say this fits
I am watching your video. You do not need to beg me to let you explain. You already have my permission to do so.
Too bad, I’m gonna keep begging anyway
first thing i thought of was playing as Tofu in the original Resident Evil 2
Hell yeah, new video!
Nice video I watch the entire thing no capping
For a moment I thought the quiet part was going to be about the "quiet is chico" rumour pre-release
Hol' up, were you playing "Go K.K. Rider" behind the Animal Crossing section? Dude, that's honestly the best track in the game. Then again, I'm biased because I'm a fan of Kamen Rider.
I can’t believe you didn’t mention the Mew under the truck smh
Meanwhile, I _WAS_ the theater kid who'd do that
Adding to this, AERITH CAN BE SAVED IN FFVII even when its due to an exploit lol
there is one gaming myth that theoretically could become true but hasnt yet
and that is mathrus
bc anybody could technically create a proper dragon-tier cheapie with mathrus's sprite and make the myth a reality
I dont remember needing to play it 7 times, I wonder if it was patched again
I remember trading everything I owned for like 10 keys to try and get a gold wrench and I just got the worst possible unusual combo at the time which was bald engineer with green confetti
Fun video, good watch
omg a chowder scene
What I don't understand:
Why people freaked out about an open bottom shirt and saying that it's a dress
wait so what about paper mario being set as a play then? cuz all of the fights happen on a stage with an audience on the bottom of the screen. it’s not just SMB3
I'm surprised by no mention of L is real on this list
Should have mentioned Ermac from Mortal Kombat
We just gonna ignore the thousand year door?
Wow, no mention of L is Real? When people found a SM64 Luigi character model in that huge Nintendo asset leak?
ocd joke so funny XD clever guy
