Kudos and thanks for your very honest home tour. i can relate to those stuff and appliances on top of the kitchen counter top (especially the cooking oil bottle and dish liquid). Some home tour are too clean and organised. thumbs up!
Thanks for sharing a tour of your home! I am really intrigued by the idea of a laundry area and wardrobe area right next to the master bathroom - such a good flow! Also I noticed that both your bathrooms use bidet washlet type toilet bowl seats which appear to be electronically enabled. This isn’t common in Singapore I think, so hope you can cover these in more detail in a future video!

Yes, both seats need a power source to work, so need to plan them in :)
If you’re looking for a budget option, I recommend the Xiaomi! Functions are about the same as TOTO and much cheaper 😊

Could solve that brushing teeth/small sink issue if there was a larger quad base to allow placement of sink even further outward. However the behind of that sink might not be smooth finishing for exterior exposure. HappyLiving n tks4sharing!

The seated shower area with the wood look waterproof seat is EXACTLY what I want to do at my bto, thank you so much for the excel sheet, is the shower really Toto or a Chinese OEM version of it

You’re most welcome! Our shower tap is from KVK! We couldn’t seem to import TOTO from taobao. Might have been some import/export restrictions. I think KVK is also from Japan. Hope this helps :)
I see concealed water piping for your hdb flat, hope you have replaced all the old piping during reno as some section maybe clogged with hard minerials built-up from our pub water. Reduced water flow & eventual leakage are signs of clogged piping.
No, we didn’t cos our water pressure seemed fine!

What a lovely home! By the way I’m using the same cooker good as yours. Does your hood installed flushed to the cabinet? Mine seems to have a gap in between. Not sure if this is normal 😅

There are other units in the area where you can see fireworks but those cost 100k more 😅
Resale bto u mean? Since the inception of bto concept, all of its flat are full height window, but not many got the grill to block the lower window view…
@@tankooson7115 Most BTOs launched have 3/4 windows (55cm from the ground), not full height (25-30mm from the ground).
Can I ask, where did you get the wardrobe from? I like how it has thin rims/frame, and internal wood-laminate. Excellent washer-wardrobe flow too btw!
I got it from IKEA for about 1.2k! You can design your wardrobe online and bring the code down to the store or order directly :)

A number of items are out of stock though, like the soft closing accessory. We are still waiting for ours too!
Awesome video and home :)! May I check, for your Aqara smart home system, did you engage a company to set it up or did your electrician already know what to do and is familiar with installing such systems. Thank you!
Our electricians installed it and my fiancé set it up. Avoid using aqara switches for high power loads like heaters and ovens though!
Two of our switches blew cos they couldn’t handle the power load. Had to buy smart switches specifically for heaters on Shopee

In total, I think our reno took about 2 months! Though there were some delays cos my husband got dengue haha. Carpentry, specifically, took about 2-3 weeks?
We only moved in after most of the reno was done! Staying in the same house during reno can be quite noisy and dusty. Depending on the extent and stage of your reno, you might have to move some things ard + constantly clean the house. If you can move your stuff in after the reno, that would be the best.

How do you coordinate the taobao sink with the kitchen carpentry? I suppose you have to wait for the sink to arrived and then the ID to work on the kitchen reno?
We just sent the carpenter the measurements from Taobao! The carpenter can cut the hole for the sink using the measurements :)

Hello! So far I’ve only used the steamer but it works pretty well! Not spluttering of hot water and accessing the tank has been pretty easy.

Our dish rack is fixed! Not sure about solutions where they can be lowered but there might be something for that in taobao? 😅

hmm, i'm not too sure on the exact cost as we shipped everything over at the same time, but you should see the sea vs air shipping cost when trying to check out!
we just used the cainiao shipping cos we were lazy, but you could also try ezship etc.!

Darren got it from a China supplier directly! A little tricky to import in small numbers though. Suggest trying carousell or alternatives like omnidesk :)
How do u install all the taobao furniture?
Our contractor helped us with most of it! Some came pre-assembled. If I’m not wrong, some shops give you the option to assemble it yourself or ship it pre-assembled too

Hi, it’s not bad! Working well! The sink trap sometimes gets knocked out of place but other than that I really like how the knife holder is integrated and connects to the pipe directly :)

your dog fully potty train no accident? because I see quite a lot of mats lying around, i removed all of mine haha..
Anyway you can consider aqara curtain or their blinds solution for the rest of your windows, get some of their sensors and wireless switches as well very useful
