My house tour! 🧡 This has been sitting in iMovie for over a month because I'm not a very good video editor, but I'm glad it's finally done and I can share it with all of you. There was so much about my house that I wanted to talk about but I think a 2h+ video is too much, so I had to cut it waaayyy down! Please use the timestamps to jump around if it's still too long, or just watch me on 2x speed. Please be kind and respectful in the comments, and ask me any questions you have about the decor or the way I’ve organised my home. Hope this video will be helpful for you own renovation, reorganising, or redecorating!
@@jensonchen awww thank you jenson! but it's ok, i think it's a one-time thing with this video because it involved filming and dealing with footage which i wasn't used to haha. but in the future if i have videos like this again, maybe i'll ask 🤣 thank you for the offer though, i really appreciate it 🙏
@@DonHoo haha the video doesn't exist because i cut out all the parts 🤣 i didn't think anyone wanted to hear me talk for 5 minutes about door gap tape or my toilet bowl story... but perhaps i'll make a video in the future with all the stuff i wanted to talk about but felt too much for this video!
Although I don't know you personally,I've watched your earlier posts I really feel proud of you and what you have achieved. Your mom is so blessed to have you in her life. May God continue to watch over you and bless the work of your hands.
I agree. I feel like I don’t know you but I do. It’s happy to see you thrive and reach where you’re reaching. You’re one of the most genuine person I have listened to. I hope you’re always happy. :)
Your channel is seriously underrated. Thanks for sharing your journey of homeownership and showcasing your house. And hey, congratulations on getting sponsored! Keep doing your thing. You're killing it!
Stumbled on your 2024 budget update video, and found this minimalist HDB tour. Your apartment looks wonderful! It has everything and no clutter. Great job really!
I love this video! It's very nice to see how y'all made the space work, especially with the use of curtains to maintain a sense of privacy and personal space. Putting a wardrobe in the bomb shelter is also a very creative and smart use of space. I think you and the ID did an excellent job in turning the flat into a very minimal and cosy home. I love the aesthetic and function of minimalism so this video ticks all my boxes! Thanks for sharing this with us. 😊
You did an excellent job turning the space into a lovely and cosy home for you and your mother. Very happy for you. Your videos and life story inspired me.
That is seriously beautiful. I would love to live in a nice, cozy place like that. You have utilised whatever little space you have perfectly, yet it doesn't look cluttered, nor does anything look out of place.
You are Adulting in an awesome way! :) Rooting for you and very proud of how your resilience, tenacity and resourcefulness! I've very glad you had met some great friends, sponsors and others who have helped you set up your home and write this new chapter! :)
LOVED this video. Thanks for filming and sharing with us. - Using the utility cabinet for tote bags is a great idea. I like how you sorted it to make it easier to see. It's currently under my sink and hard to differentiate. - The tape for the door gap is a very useful tip! - You could consider a small shelf on the white wall that you've left empty. Do consider a height that's comfortable and which wont affect your dining configurations. - The Welcome Home lights are lovely! ❤
Lisa, I know $25K Singapore dollars doesn't go very far but you achieved far more than I thought you would with this budget. Every dollar you spent was very well spent. Your detailed planning and execution skills will take you far in life. And your flat is impressively immaculate! One question - does your unit contain a clothesline for drying clothes that is accessible by opening the kitchen windows?
yup 😊 there’s a metal clothesline outside the kitchen window, and there used to be one inside that was attached to the ceiling (comes with the flat i believe) which i removed during renovation. for my family, the space outside is enough for all our laundry + we have a foldable drying rack if it’s raining 😄
Hi LIsa, I must commend you on being very resourceful when it comes to finding solutions to ease your living conditions and also your bravery for having black tiles in the shower area. I have a phobia for creepy crawlies especially cockroaches so I would want to see them so I know where to smack when they happen to be in the toilet so yeah, no black tiles for me lol! I sincerely hope you can finally find some peace after what you have been through 😌
I just stumble into your channel and I am struck with your humility, positive mindset and good life choices. Thank you for sharing your inspiring videos.
You do have good videographic skills. There's a certain serenity about your narrative and the way the camera pans with your narrative. I do appreciate those pauses because it also shows you care for how your audience is seeing the space for the first time and may need a little more time to get the details in. One thing I thought was missing though. Where do you store your laundry poles? Thank you for your patience for showing us your beautiful home. 🌷
thank you so much for your kind words!! 🧡🧡 haha the laundry poles are outside the kitchen window! we have an outdoor clothes drying rack (part of the HDB flat), as well as a foldable indoor drying rack that we bought from IKEA for rainy days.
Thank you for sharing your home deco and design as very few are comfortable to do so. The overall design is well thought out and efficiently planned, to cater to all your family members as best as you could, making the house exuding warmth and love to anyone who have a chance to view the tour. The toilet transformation is quite jaw-dropping when compared to the default design. It is an unbelievable journey of determination, thoughtfulness and positivity that bring forth the fruition of this dream house. These values and the love of your family, will most certainly be more useful than any knowledge (financial or otherwise) to empower you as you navigate through life. I believe you will be able to succeed in life. :)
Very nice! For the light switch in the store/walk in wardrobe, you can consider 2 way switches controlled by radio frequency, so the main switch is on the wall where it’s not easy to access, and you can stick the other one outside/somewhere else where it’s easier to access
Gosh, your house is so pretty and cosy! It is impressive to see how much you able to transform it from the earlier version to this, and the incredible use of space 👍👍👍
The curtains separting the living from the sleeping/working space is what I've dreamed of since I was a kid... a fully functional, cosy, optimised space that is customised to me. The design of the kitchen is also super tasteful. Functional and pleasant looking. I can imagine how nice it feels to walk into a kitchen like that. I've watched many HDB home tours and this kitchen is my favourite. The overall transformation of the flat is amazing.
Lovely house. Router antenna, the top one should be vertical to have better signal. I used an Ikea Kolon to protect the floor under the chair. 5 years and still going strong. Ditto for 3M film. Really reduced heat and glare
Love your full tour and appreciate how detailed you were explaining how the spaces were used and the reasonings. Will be using your video for inspiration when I finally and hopefully get my home. Lots of love! ❤❤❤

Your video is excellent quality considering you only used your iPhone. Editing skills are also top quality. I really love your home and the fact that each family member has exactly what they need. A quality space for an escape from the outside world 😊
Nice but just my thoughts. Could have boxed up the widow side wall and provide more side shelving or closed storage. Then add cushion to the cabinet bench. This can serve as additional seatings to your collapsible dinning table and chill reading area. Paint the empty wall and add a large art pieces will make it a feature wall. Adding a “ommmm” to the space. 😊
