i think you got adapting and copying mixed up, 682 doesnt take powers from other things, he just finds away not to get hurt by it, and its hard to adapt to the ball as it grows stronger with each hit meaning each hit, hits differently

@@guydudedudeguy9030 this problem was discussed in another comment and we came with a solution: keep the ball bouncing in a spherical container with a specially dense liquid that would slows its speed to half, with the liquid reducing its speed in half it would keep a constant speed no matter how many times it bounced (example: if the ball hit the north side of the sphere at 50 meters per hour, it would bounced to south at 100 meter per hour, once it reached south the liquid would have slowed it back to 50 meters and then it would bounce back to 100 meters and so) and since the container would be perfectly spherical it would hit with the same strength and speed no matter the direction the ball bounced to, then they would just have to keep the spherical container submerged on the jell for once the ball inevitably breaks the spherical container after a while (but replacing the spherical container would be cheap as far as maintenance costs of energy resources go)

And there's no way this wouldnt work because all you'd need to do is calculate the amount of energy that it would need to generate to breach containment in whatever device you place it in, then calculate the amount of water or any other liquid stopper you're gonna use to properly stop it and probably increase the surface of said liquid by 10 just to be safe. It wouldn't. It is affected by outside forces, like the lake that stopped it. Air resistance would give it a terminal velocity, which it may surpass shortly after a bounce, but it will return to that speed (just above 70mph I believe, but we don't have it's actual mass, that's just what would be expected for a non anomalous ball that size)

Since the super ball is near incapable of slowing down, 682 would never be able to adapt fully, but it would probably break a wall before it killed 682, triggering a containment breach.
While 018 can improve mobility, 1/2 way through the video, I was expecting something to go wrong and it did. A hiccup, yeah, but still it's an issue and I thought they already had an SCP made of OTHER SCP's, 5514 or the Dragon Slayer. An onboard A.I. may keep further incident's like the hiccup from happening again or at least a trigger to hold down when 'engaging' SCP-018.

Since the super ball is near incapable of slowing down, 682 would never be able to adapt fully, but it would probably break a wall before it killed 682, triggering a containment breach.

While 018 can improve mobility, 1/2 way through the video, I was expecting something to go wrong and it did. A hiccup, yeah, but still it's an issue and I thought they already had an SCP made of OTHER SCP's, 5514 or the Dragon Slayer. An onboard A.I. may keep further incident's like the hiccup from happening again or at least a trigger to hold down when 'engaging' SCP-018.
Well a heel could make it work. And also if something like that happened the suit just needs to be armed with something that will slow it down in air.
@@nrliii That's easy, Either introduce a Parachute system or introduce something to increase the pilot's mass and drag like a vehicle Air Bag, but larger. Though the latter option would make it an over-glorified and incredibly expensive fat-suit until it gets pack back in. Maybe something like an Anti-Gravity Generator of the like?

You know, even though he was wearing that fancy armor, Agent Hammersmith has got to have huge bragging rights for going toe to toe (or I guess foot to body) with 682 alone, in close combat, subduing it, and surviving. I wonder what they had him do afterwards since he lost his arm. I'd also like to know what exactly happened during the earlier engagement when he managed to put a tracking collar on 682.

The Foundation isn't very good at common sense. More like "How can we inconvenience and kill large numbers of our own staff with this?"

A cricket ball is sometimes gets thrown at 140km/h and cought so for scp018 to go through someone's hand it must have been moving at probably far faster than 100 as described here
